01 [Action - Genessia City]

[This was something both horrifying and exciting at the same time. Haille was naturally curious as to what the world was like...but to be thrown into a completely new world was something else entirely. There were numerous people here. Far more than he expected. And the technology! He'd read about steam and magic-powered inventions, but everything he'd seen so far seemed much more advanced.

It was all so overwhelming for one who'd only ever seen the inside of an old library and some dark caverns.

Thankfully, Haille had a blank notebook in his robes. Well, it had been blank. Now it was already almost half-filled with various notes and observations he'd made since his arrival a mere two or three hours ago. In fact, he could be found wandering the streets and admiring the lights, jotting down more as the night went on.]

How...how fascinating!

Ah, a town? It seems there's much I can experience here that I couldn't back in the tower.

[He pauses, tapping his chin before jotting something else down in his notebook. Seeing as how Haille's only been here for maybe a few hours or so and he's almost halfway through it, it's likely he's going to need to pick up many more at some point.]

The illusion back in the bay explained a few things, but I'm at a loss what to do now. Sightseeing is nice, but I already miss my laboratory.

There are labs here. I don't know much about them but I am sure they're accept those with similar skills as employees.

There are other alchemists here? Where can I find them?

[Belle shifts through her skirts, pulling a small device from the folds of fabric.]

This, you should have one too. It let's you speak to those who were also brought here. I am sure you'll be able to find other alchemists this way.

[That sort of technology didn't exist in his world, even before it was destroyed. But upon seeing the device, he nods and produces his own from within his robes.]

Oh, this thing. I haven't quite figured out how to work it yet.

To start there are three functions. There's speaking to another person, then seeing them like a mirror and finally writing to them through the device.

That seems remarkably convenient. Like an amalgation of different magics.

A bit though I can't say I know much about magic or technology.

[Belle has picked up some knowledge but often times its only what goes on around her.]

You can also make conversations private or address the whole city. I prefer to have private conversations in person. I'm never sure if I'm doing it right with these things.

I'll admit I'm not very skilled with either, although I am knowledgeable on the different types and uses of magic. As for technology, I've only read about some of the devices that used to exist.

That sounds...understandable. I'm sure it will take some time to get used to it myself.

If you're interested in magic then you should go to Fayren. There is a guild there that has many magic users called Fairy Tail.

[Belle isn't a magic user but she doesn't go and use their library from time to time.]

Oh, yes, I believe I did hear mention of that city. There are others too, yes? Nova...and Ever...something or other, I think.

[Haille slides his own phone back into a pocket in his robes, before .]

Ah, so I was close. While I believe all of them warrant a visit, Fayren is at the top of my list for the time being.
