Action for Genessia | Forward dated to Saturday
[Honestly, waking up in what was obviously, totally, clearly the roiling pits of Hell was, to put it lightly... a bit jarring.
First of all angels don't sleep, that's silly.
Second of all
HELL.
So one might forgive him for the dire and explosive need to escape said Hell. One might even applaud him for how he got out, because honestly four billion years of living will perfect anyone's ability at making Irish Goodbyes.
Though while his sudden exit from Hell (scenic Gluttony in the fortress) was subtle and no one seemed to notice it, such could not be said for the explosion of light and sound that momentarily just enveloped part of Genessia City.
Now, nothing was destroyed, this appearance was certainly not a violent one. LOUD AND BRILLIANT but not violent.
It came as if it were a strike of lightning, gold, orange, yellow, red, fading to brilliant reds and pinks and purples.
For one moment, the entity at its epicenter could be seen, without hiding, without the use of any illusions to make the appearance any more understandable.
A towering creature, all six sunset colored wings flared like a sunburst, a multitude of smooth, seemingly resin ebony colored arms flickering in and out around folds of cloudy nebula, eight blazing eyes blinking in and out of existence rapidly on an otherwise smooth and featureless face.
And then, in the blink of an eye, it all imploded, the light sharply shooting back towards the blazing creature-
And leaving... Well.
A six winged, highly anxious looking, somewhat disheveled young man, who couldn't, or perhaps wouldn't quite seem to get all human aspects right, as several tendrils of hair continued to hazily drift about his head as if immersed in water.
At least people can fuckin' look at him now though, he's still a bit busy making sure nothing followed him and all his parts are here and weren't chewed off, a few glass-like feathers shedding here and there.]
[[ooc: I'M GONNA BE BUSYISH this weekend so here's an AU'd Szel! Here is a look at what he looks like right now, and here is a brief summary of how he'll be less of a dick until the 9th. Have fun!]]

She's ... in awe. Mostly-forgotten Memories flickering back to her. Was this what a real 'angel' looked like?
A bird who never lost its feathers ...
But one more gawking person in the crowd might not catch the man's attention. ]
no subject
The man eventually looks up from inspecting himself to find quite... a few people staring.
Oh.
Oh dear.
Uh-]
... Everything's fine, please go about your day, I'm not here!
[PERFECT.]
no subject
At least one person appears to be calm, not freaking out, as if it's not affecting her at all.
She walks up to the stranger, easily making her way through the crowd.
Her voice is calm, not quite a monotone: ]
Do you need help?
[ Getting off this street. Away from people. ]
no subject
Ah, but this, this was okay. The angel quickly looked to her, and relief flickered across his face before he nodded]
Yes I... I'm a little turned around.
It's... concerning that I'm not familiar with the area- Is there anywhere a little quieter nearby?
no subject
The wings which still were inviting strange Memories.
The messenger of the original writer of the book, of the truth -
The past wasn't important. As always, the present was. ]
There are many options.
There is a cafe down the road there.
There is a library a little further away.
And, further away still, there is Fayren, which has woods where few will see your present form.
[ She couldn't recall seeing him post before. Was this someone who just arrived to Genessia? ]
I will lead you to wherever you want to go.
no subject
[While the library would be wonderful, he knew for a fact that most earthly libraries weren't built with six massive wings attached to a human sized entity in mind.
It'd be hard.
He'd have to pin down making those go somewhere else first and that had never been a thing he'd had to accomplish before, he didn't usually visit earth after all.]
I hope I'm not interrupting anything you had planned today, if you were busy, I don't mind being given a map.
[The voice was... musical. Reminiscent perhaps of some stringed instrument, dulcet and warm]
May I ask your name? It seems so rude to not call you something.
no subject
Follow me.
[ Dorothy was just exploring, people-watching, as she normally did when she wasn't working.
It was a type of hobby, anyway. ]
My name is R. Dorothy Wayneright.
What is your name?
no subject
It's a pleasure to meet you Ms Wayneright!
Oh! I'm-
[The sound that slipped out wasn't a word. Not in any human language anyway. Perhaps more of an emotion put to sound, hammer dulcimer strings in a swelling chorus delicately struck in a short series of ethereal, almost chiming chords, sweet and warm.
And Levanael didn't even seem to notice that sound maybe... wasn't exactly repeatable for most of the population.]
I always did like the name Dorthy.
no subject
[ Tilts her head a little, curious. It's certainly not any human language, and of course it wasn't robotic. She wasn't sure she could approximate the sound, and ... some Memory told her it might not be safe to try.
It was beautiful, though, and she was a bit awed by it. Even on her calm, robotic face, some of that awe showed. ]
... Thank you.
I don't think I can manage to say your name. I apologize.
no subject
[Thank goodness, he didn't have to be so formal at least. That was a good sign! Someone being that comfortable so quickly meant he was doing something right.
However, it took a moment for him to understand what the issue was with his name, before it actually hit.]
Ah... yes that makes sense, that... would be a bit hard for a lot of people to pronounce, wouldn't it?
Erm... Well, the human approximation of it would be Levanael! I apologize, it's not really very often I speak with people from the actual planet proper."
no subject
And, of course, the angel had done nothing annoying.
The name didn't seem to spark any Memory, and this relieved her, somehow. Why would that be, she wondered? ]
It's nice to meet you, Levanael.
Did you just arrive to Genessia?
[ It seemed like a logical question to ask. ]
no subject
Ah... yes, I did. I didn't really... I didn't intend on coming here, I do apologize if I hurt anyone's eyes, I'd thought I'd just-
[Appear back in the library, honestly. Those had been the coordinates, but apparently leaving wasn't a thing that was going to happen]
no subject
Did you not see the hologram?
[ The simplest explanation was usually the correct one. She hadn't seen him before, he was lost and confused, therefore he was new to Genessia.
And yet.
Something bothered Dorothy. It didn't quite make sense.
Why arrive in the city as he did? Why not the Bay?
Unless he teleported from the bay.
Did that make sense? ]

Look, Tannusen lived in Everglade, or at least a subarchway off of it. It wasn't exactly shocking that he was at hand when someone burst out of another subarchway off the same city. Astride an idling Jethro of the motorcycle variety, the tiger gaped pretty openly at the mess that was...
...
"...Lev?"
no subject
Well it was odd to be recognized so quickly, that was all.
The question got an awkward smile, the angel fixing the shifting, sunset colored robes as the wings flickered, slightly flared, and then settled once more.
"Oh hello! I'm... sorry, I'm not immediately familiar with you." He'd remember... well any face honestly.
Nothing here was familiar and therein was 90% of the issue.
"I'm very sorry if I hurt your eyes at all..."
abuses them elipses
And... Tannusen had glimpsed what Szel's real form really looked like, these days, and what he'd just seen certainly wasn't... it. Or maybe it was it, but it wasn't wrecked like the demon's.
Something fucky was up and while he didn't know what that was, yet, what kind of Fae would he be if he needed all the facts up-front?
"It was very bright," he agreed after a moment, and then, "what are you doing here? You're not... usually here."
tortured elipses screams
"I've never been here before at all, I don't think." This wasn't earth. He'd picked that up pretty quickly now. Oh it looked like earth alright. Made to look just like it, trees like earth, people like earth.
Wasn't.
He knew creation like the back of his hand, and everything had that just faintest hint of... offness.
This wasn't earth.
"I... Well I didn't intend on being here, if that makes sense." It doesn't, not to Levanael at least. He never went anywhere he wasn't supposed to or wasn't intended to be.
"I found myself for a moment in a... somewhat uncomfortable spot and I admit I hadn't thought much when I took my leave of where I was going."
...aieee...
"I..."
Right. Right. Whatever was going on, Tannusen realized pretty quickly that he was just complicating matters by running his damn mouth like an idiot.
"Come on, let's go somewhere with less people," Tannusen settled on that, first, twisting a bit to pat the back half of Jethro's seat. The motorcycle wouldn't seem like anything different than just a motorcycle, even to an angel. "Ever been on a motorcycle?"
........ no.................. dont ................plz
He had no idea what he was looking at right now.
He'd ask about that incomplete sentence later, the angel looked to the bike, then back at the people around them. Yeah leaving seemed like a good idea.
"Well... no. I... there's not really a lot of that. In heaven." Who needed vehicles when one could just fly? Or teleport for that matter? But with no idea where he was or where to go, there was really no other choice.
He awkwardly climbed on, clearly lost as to what to do with pretty much every part of himself, all six wings folding in as tightly as possible to him.
no subject
And then they were off, the tiger keeping Jethro's speed to a dull roar for the seraph's sake.
no subject
They had those.
Just... not really what most humans would call a road. Arms around waist, wings in tight, he seemed to have zero issue with cuddling right up for the sake of not falling off the bike and not making a fuss. Better to not cause an accident because he didn't want to get cozy here.
"But... this is another world, isn't it? This isn't our creation." How would he even know who Levanael was, come to think of it?
no subject
The alternative was the house, and no one needed the chaos of Cassian with a shotgun right this moment!
(Maybe later.)
"Where were you before you tried to blind half the city?"
no subject
That wasn't how things worked.
"I..." He sounded nervous. Legitimately worried about repeating it.
"Now I didn't do anything wrong, I want to let you know now before I answer. I promise, there is nothing ill intentioned planned, I think there was an... accident of some sort.
I just blinked, and found myself in Gluttony."
no subject
Great, wonderful.
"I'll explain as best as I can once we get to my bar," Tannusen promised, and if they went just a touch slower for the rest of the way there while his brain gnawed this all over at length, well, that was just how it went wasn't it? "I'm still figuring it out myself."
Oh boy.
But short of taking a detour, getting there couldn't be delayed for too long before they pulled up outside of a tall brick building with its purple neon cursive sign; Velvet Lust. Closed for the day as usual, of course, but that was nothing that would slow the owner down.
no subject
That was good enough.
He did eye the words a little bit as they approached, but one might forgive an angel of being leery of the word 'lust' in anything that wasn't 'I have a great lust for pious do goodery in the name of Christ'.
At least he didn't say anything about it, still honestly sticking very close to Tannusen the moment the other man would actually dismount the bike.
"This is a bar?" He'd of course seen plenty of things from heaven. It was a bit different actually looking at it in real life.
"I... thought they looked a little more... Aren't there supposed to be more bikes?"
Biker bar. He knows about biker bars. That's his grand sum of knowledge on bars.
