[Yang doesn't look TOO dissimilar, save that her eyes are red instead of lavender, and she has some feathery beaded ornaments strung into her hair. She looks a little dirtier and unkempt, picking at her teeth with her thumbnail.]
[Which she actually has now; both arms are flesh and blood.]
Sup, shitheads.
[She sits casually on a fallen log, one arm leaning on her knee.]
I'm bored. So who's up for a fight, or a drink? Or both, if you want a new friend.
[Yang puts her other hand down and flashes a wolfish smile.]
C'mon out. I promise...I absolutely bite.
[She snaps at the air with a click of her teeth as that smile widens. Someone's bound to take the bait. If they're strong enough, she'll get in some exercise and fun. If they're weak, she'll mug them. Either way, she'll have a good time. And for those with identifier tags to mark the name of the video maker, she's showing up as 'Yang Branwen.']
[Regency 404 - Event Start]
[...The hell is she doing in a place like this? She blinks hard, red eyes narrowed in confusion, as she looks around the room. Pictures of cars on the wall? Since when did she live in a place with actual walls? Some kind of sleepwalking shit? There's a girl sleeping in one of the beds. Yang sizes her up, decides she's no threat, and quietly pushes out of the room and into the hallway. Man, it's a nice place, she'll give it that. Messy, though, she wrinkles her nose as she eyes someone's (Gwen's) discarded bra. Seems like there are other people living here too. She could take the electronics and sell them, she supposes, but it's a lot to carry. Plus it's winter; food is more important to the tribe right now, and it seems like these idiots have a lot.]
[She steals it all and stuffs it into a big garbage bag.]
[Well not ALL of it. She leaves one soy sauce packet in the middle of the fridge, just to be an ass. Hopefully the camp hasn't moved from where she remembers it being. Yang slings the bag over her shoulder and heads out.]

[Fighting, Drinking, Mugging - Anywhere (Particularly Bars and Fayren)]
[When Yang wants to be seen, she's hard to miss. All that wild blonde hair, the form-fitting black leather accented with crimson lace, and complete lack of regard for propriety usually makes her stand out. Whether she's perched on a barstool drinking some poor chump under the table, or relaxing in a chair with one foot propped up, she just looks like a thug and a troublemaker.]
[People still approach her anyway.]
[Sometimes she has the patience to sit and chat for a while. Sometimes she tries to goad someone into losing their temper and picking a fight, for there's nothing she likes better than a good rowdy bar fight.]
[Or maybe she's just doing some light shopping -- by which she manages to stay out of sight, keeping an eye on the roads for an easy mark who would stupidly travel alone through Branwen territory. Even if she's not in Fayren, she'll deviate from her usual mugging spots if someone looks stupid and weak enough to warrant a punch in the back of the head and the helpful removal of that oh so heavy purse or wallet.]

[For Those With Positive CR (or for another fighting option if you really want her to nail your character) - The Drunken Monkey]
[At the end of a long day, Yang can (once again) be found at the bar. Drinking sullenly. Instead of sprawling out and grinning flirtatiously at the bar patrons, she's hunched over a half-empty stein, nursing it as she stares at a photograph of four people. It's wrinkled with four distinct fold lines, and the colors have faded a little with time.]
[She frowns at it as if it owes her money.]
[As soon as anyone seems to be moving toward her, she quickly folds it up and stuffs it out of sight in her jacket's inner pocket, taking another long pull from her ale.]
Not looking for company tonight. Go away.
[Which she actually has now; both arms are flesh and blood.]

[She waves her hand dismissively.]
So what do you want?
[She folds her arms behind her head and kicks back in her chair, a leg dropping heavily onto the table in front of her.]
What do I get out of it?
[Sly grin and suddenly perks up with intensity.] Film it for money, yeah? I've got some equipment that'll really pack a punch in filming it, and I'll give it free in exchange for publicity.

[She yawns, uninterested.]
[action]
Fayren? the complete opposite. some of the architecture he'd seen here shared some similarities to the smaller villages and towns back home. but otherwise, the flecks of green within that pendant of his granted him access beyond the confines of Genessia City. he took a brief stop at the Fayren branch of the Schnee Company for bits of information and a better understanding of the town he'd just entered. between looking into finding work (even if he was committed to staying, he had to make money somehow. and it didn't seem like there were monsters to slay
yetor a proper means of setting up a mercenary business. ... could he start up a delivery service? he didn't know.all of these thoughts had the blond man wandering into more 'unfortunate' territory of the Branwen variety late at night. at first he thought he'd be content with leaving his weapons at home, but it seemed that he still hadn't gotten quite that comfortable enough in doing so. this world was too foreign to him still, and if he could travel around the world with the likes of a giant slab of steel in the Buster Sword in his Sephiroth hunting days, what was the harm of six smaller
still bigblades sheathed along the back of his waist?Cloud's ready for a fight. ...not that he ever wanted one in the first place. distracted by his communicator, he takes a chance with stepping out from the somewhat busier street to slip into an alleyway. he's searching through the directory, in a bid to see if any new names would show up at all. and there is no one. no one but the names he'd met upon first arriving.
and yet...one was missing. where was Yang? she was the first person he met face to face here in this world... just like that? she was gone already? talk about a fickle world. but hey, at least someone with the last name 'Branwen' had her name. what a coincidence.]
[action]
Fancy meeting you out here.
[She has a better chance of catching him off his guard by just walking straight up to him. He's not going to expect her to rob him blind, that's for sure. Honestly, it's unfortunate that he wandered into their territory, she would have been fine just letting him go on his merry way. But the rules of the tribe are concrete, and if she didn't go after him, someone else would. She'd argued vehemently to take him down herself.]
[Really, he should be thanking her. She's doing him a favor, since she'll at least leave him alive.]
[She saunters toward him at a relaxed pace, the smiling never leaving her face as her scarlet eyes remain locked on his face.]
Do you always go walking through dark alleys in the middle of the night? Pretty cocky.
[action]
...?
[turning on heel, Cloud's gaze settles on the sight of the blonde haired woman standing across from him. that hair, her voice... he'd recognize that from anywhere, even when he was just brand new to this world. she was one of the first people to support him.]
Yang...?
[on one hand, he was relieved to see her, but on the other hand... what was up with her eyes? was this actually Yang? Cloud, never the wiser for the time being, takes a couple of decisive steps closer, stopping when he realizes that she hasn't stopped walking towards him. that smile of hers... it was familiar and yet different.]
What are you doing out here? I was just...
[the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end as he realized that she'd never stopped smiling, or even looked away. her scarlet gaze was solely locked on his face. he stood his ground, and yet...it was still her, right? ]
...hey... [his body was mere moments from screaming at him to do something. but what?] You okay-
[action]
Now that's rude. You ignored my question.
[She drives her foot into his ribs, hard enough to kick him a few feet across the alleyway to hit the wall. Can't have him making a ruckus now, so she'll just drive the wind out of his diaphragm.]
Just cough up your money, and this'll go a lot easier for you.
[She'll take the swords too, but she's not about to let him reach for a blade.]
[action]
[it takes a moment for it to all register. the pain, his insides on the verge of rupturing from the sudden, harsh impact... his vision blurred almost immediately, a sense of nausea forced upon him in waves almost immediately. he had a rather high tolerance for pain, so the fact that Yang's surprisingly fast blow was enough to render him speechless as his eyes snapped wide, shaking.]
Gghaa-
[Cloud didn't even have time to bring either a hand up to defend himself or to clutch at the source of his pain when she dropped him with a brutal elbow drop to the back of his neck. his head whipped back, the force causing his vision to fade out. he would have passed out right then and there if it wasn't for the face he landed face first into the cold, unforgiving ground. the taste of iron filled his mouth as he coughed once. instinctively, his body beckoned him to get up. it hurt like hell, moreso that he was caught by surprise. if he had seen it coming, Cloud would have been able to brace himself better. she may not have even had a chance to get a good hit in if he was being serious.
but this wasn't about fighting seriously. this was about getting what she wanted from him. and as he gets to his hands and knees, blood dribbling from the corner of his mouth, he can only look up for a split moment as the blonde fighter kicked him straight in the ribs. that was...what, one? two that cracked right there?]
GAH!!
[his body crumpled before flipping against the wall, the back of his head slamming back against the bricks. it was only three hits... three hits and she did so much damage to him.]
Y-Yang...
[he coughed again, an action that forced less air in his body. he needed more air. but when attempted to reclaim the wind, it came with the blood that gargled in his mouth. that was certainly internal bleeding for sure. it could have been worse- he'd dealt with worse. but the culmination of it all and the fact that his guard was completely dropped made it feel almost as bad.]
Why...
[fight. get up and fight. is what his body was telling him to do when he had no other choice. which is why Cloud, defiant as ever, has to think about asking questions later. he'd get to the bottom of what got into her after he managed to beat her. that's what he thought to himself as his beaten down gaze looked up at the blonde's wild scarlet gaze]
..!! [he makes an attempt to reach for one of his swords sheathed at his back, knowing that the moment that he drew it, there'd be no telling what would happen next.]
[action]
Well that's not your wallet, is it? You don't hear so good.
[And if he goes for a weapon again, she'll crack his shoulder to stave off the temptation. Still...those are pretty nice swords. Maybe she'll do him a favor and liberate those now, shed a little unnecessary weight from his back. She pulls one of them out with a whisper of steel on leather, then tosses it behind her out of his reach. And another. And another.]
Damn, why do you have so many of these things? You know you've only got two hands, right? Or were you gonna tie one to your dick and swing it around?
[action]
just when he was starting to think that this place wasn't so bad... time may have stood still here, but that didn't mean he didn't want to get back home any later. if this was what Yang was really like...]
Tch!!
[at this stage, if Cloud successfully got his hands on one of his swords, lightning fast as his drawing skills were, he was at the point where it was about fighting first and asking later. even if it meant coming this damn close to killing her. it was him or her, it felt like. he was getting mugged, but this was brutal. her strength was surreal, the kind of blows he'd expect coming from someone like Tifa, but even more vicious. he reaches for one of his shorter blades and-]
Aaahh!!
[oh. was that his shoulder getting dislocated? his body was pretty resilient, so for someone to be able to do that to him while his head was spinning and he was almost prepared to fight? but that was seriously painful. he grit his bloodstained teeth, hissing as his other hand went up to his arm in a desperate attempt to try and pop it back in. but Cloud was too confused already.]
A-Aah...no...
[he felt lighter. and not in a good way. as each sword left him, the burdens upon his shoulders grew heavier. but then...]
..... stop.
[it was difficult to see his eyes beneath his hanging bangs, but a short, chilling breeze swept through the alleyway as Cloud willed himself to stand. or at least he was on his way to standing up. his one arm was dead at his side, but the other had a tightly clenched fist. he was weaponless...and still he refused to stop fighting. he had one arm. it was enough, he told himself. his body screamed at him to stop, even as faint licks of a fiery blue aura started to pour out of the blond. pushed past his limits, it was well past the point of talking her out of this.]
[action]
[She says it with an incredulous, short laugh.]
Then you should have done what you were told right from the start, asshole.
[But nooooo, he's starting to channel some weird sort of blue energy, and Yang doesn't feel like sticking around to find out what it does. Instead she grabs a fistful of blonde hair (spiked for her convenience) and punches him in the head. Over. And over. And over. She doesn't plan on stopping until he's unconscious either, since that light is going to draw attention.]
Idiot...not like I wanted to beat you up this bad...
[action]
live.]
..... ........... .....
[maybe...this was why he stopped fighting back. Yang's echo of a voice in his otherwise blank mind, those words rang through his very being too. she didn't want to beat him so harshly. didn't want to have to brutalize him but he just kept getting up for more.]
(Then...why...?)
[by this point she's holding the weight of him by the spikes of his hair, Cloud's body going limp. he was still alive, and far from being beaten to near death. but her blows were decisive, perfect for outright wanting to knock somebody out. cold. the light that he emitted faded, the once clenched fist slipping loose. before he even got a chance to reach out to her...]
[action]
[She doesn't feel great about this. People without an aura are just so...weak. It wasn't a challenge, it was just a savage beating. She grumbles under her breath as she pats him down until finding and pulling out his wallet. She rifles through it, taking most of the money, leaving a little behind...enough that he can afford a decent healer, if she had to estimate what a hospital visit would cost. Most likely some bleeding heart will do it for free, but just in case.]
[She unbuckles the rest of the swords. She was just going to take them out of the sheaths but she only has so many hands. Yang supposes her mother might like them. Probably not enough to replace her own sword, but at least the rest of the tribe will be decently armed.]
[Yang turns to go, but stops, glowering at Cloud's body.]
........psheh........
[She rolls her scarlet eyes, blowing away a lock of her gold bangs. Then she turns back to grab his good arm and drag him out of the alley, making sure he's clearly visible to other people walking by. Someone will find him and take care of him. He might freeze to death if she just leaves him in an unconscious pile in the alleyway. Once he's out, she gathers up the swords and scurries off into the night.]
[It's a good haul. But it leaves knots in her stomach she does her best to ignore.]
Video
Sounds like you know how to have a good time.
[She smirks at the screen as her head falls lazily to the side.]
I'm partial to fighting and drinking. [Her smile widens slightly.] Biting too.
First round can be my treat.
[Enis has money, though she has no idea where she got it but she doesn't really care.
ooc: Enis's event plotting post is here if you want to take a look.]
Re: Video
You know I'm not into chicks, right?
[Just going to shut that down before it even starts, if that was this girl's aim.]
But hey, if you're cool with that, I won't say no to a free round. Or a fight.
Video
I'm into into chicks either but I like drinking and fighting.
[She will flirt but that's just because flirting is fun~ Everyone should be able to flirt.]
Video
Yeah, all right. Name the place and time.
Video
She wants a challenge and she very much doubts that she'll find one here. She isn't opposed to killing though that isn't her first thought when she thinks of fighting. It's all in good fun, for now.]
The Drunken Monkey, 9 pm.
Video
[She waves her hand dismissively.]
Better not be boring.
Video
[She flashes a white toothy smile.]
Even a punching bag can be fun.
[Though Enis is very confident in her abilities.
Enis pockets the phone after the screen darkens. 9pm. Drunken Monkey. She ends up arriving early, finding a spot near the bar that lets her watch the door. A glass of private stock rum is in front of her as well as an air of fuck-off-I'm-waiting-for-someone.]
[The new hairstyle is a bit weird (and too similar to Raven), but he doesn't call her out, figuring maybe she's trying to find herself or something. The red eyes aren't that weird either but wait is that a new arm?
The fuck is going on.]
[That foot comes off the table as she leans forward to look at the screen, squinting. He looks an awful lot like...]
[She ignores him completely as she fishes a folded photograph out of her inner jacket pocket, unfolds it, and glances between them. Wait. Wait. After all these years, he's just going to appear in front of her, practically on a silver platter?]
...Who are you.
[Her head pulls back as her eyes narrow in suspicion. But they're also not red anymore, taking some of the bite out of her words. She has to know.]
Action in Fayren
She's very focused on her surroundings, her angelic hearing picking up every sound. She hears the sound of footsteps approaching and quickens her pace. It may be no one, but why risk the encounter? She just has to get out of sight before she's seen.
Unfortunately for her, her angelic powers did not grant her grace, and in her hurry to escape unnoticed she stumbles on a piece of debris making a turn. She manages to remain mostly upright as she crashes into a wall. If it's no one worrisome behind her, she'll be able to brush her self off and go on her merry way, but if it's someone more, well, she's about to find out.]
no subject
[But. Maybe she's a little too easy. Did she just run into the wall? Yang sighs. Okay, best to just get this over with. Besides, if she doesn't go for it, someone worse will.]
All right, all right. Money and valuables, you know the drill. Hand 'em over and I'll see you safely to the gate.
[She folds her arms.]
Best deal you're gonna get in this place, believe me.
no subject
Hidden by her cloak, her hands reach for her chakrams as she turns around, whipping them out and ready for a fight, but she freezes when she sees Yang. This isn't some bitch; it's a kid around the same age as she is. And if she's trying to rob her, then she must be desperate.]
Oh, you really need it, don't you? Hang on.
[She puts her chakrams back, very much unconcerned by the woman threatening her, and reaches for her purse. She counts a few bills out and shoves them in her pocket before handing her the rest. From the looks of it, it seems to be five stars worth of red bills.]
There, that should be enough to get you by for a long while.
no subject
[Well, sure, she does need money, but she's not some starving hobo charity case. Part of her wants to object, but the smarter side of herself says to just shut up and accept this for what it is, because it's the best possible outcome: a load of cash without having to break anyone's bones. Her gaze flicks to the few bills that were reserved, and she nearly objects on sheer principle. Did she not say ALL of it?]
[But that's a LOT of money. Yang glances around to make sure no one else is watching, because the last thing she wants is for her reputation to get ruined, and it will if people think she's going soft on her targets. Shit.]
[Well it's not like the girl kept that much for herself, so she'll suck it up and deal with it. If she's going to be tossing away that much cash, she might keep doing it in the future. No sense slaughtering the goose that lays the golden eggs. Hastily she stuffs the money down her shirt, tucking it into her bra where no one's sticky fingers can go unnoticed.]
Okay, so. Deal's a deal. You've got my protection for the night. Headed for the gate?
no subject
So instead of being ambiguous as to where she's going, she's going to tell her the truth.]
No, I have a room at the Amagi Inn in this city tonight. [The guy at the desk insisted that she didn't have to pay for some reason. She was suspicious, but he had been so nice to her. He seemed to be under the impression that she owned the place, and while she normally wouldn't take advantage of deceit like that, it meant that she should be safe there for the night at least. She'd be sure to leave some money before she left in the morning to make up for it.] Oh, why don't you come over for dinner? I haven't eaten with a friend in a long time.
[Because this girl isn't a mugger; she's a nice lady that just needed a bit of help.]
no subject
[Maybe she hit her head when she tripped into the wall, because this girl is clearly delusional. Yang folds her arms and sighs. What's with some of these people? Is she going to get guilt-tripped every time she plays bandit queen's daughter?]
Fine, I'll take you there. Come on.
[She raises her hand and flicks her wrist, beckoning her on.]
No one in town is stupid enough to mess with you while we're together, so you can relax.
no subject
[Listen, she made friends with the assassin that tried to kill her. A mugger is a step backwards.
She smiles at her as she starts heading in the direction of the inn. In the presence of her new "friend," she actually does relax. Her hood is still up in case any strangers spot her, but she's no longer hurrying and acting paranoid.]
Thanks! See? You're really nice, protecting me like that. I'm Colette by the way.
no subject
[She's not. But it still resonates poorly in her head when she says it, and another twinge of guilt pricks at her heart at the thought of that young man she beat to a pulp earlier.]
[She eyes Colette as she gives her name, clearly expecting a criminal to do the same. Well, why not. It's not like someone is going to look up her address. Even if by some chance they do find the bandit camp, they'll wish they hadn't.]
Yang Branwen.
[She folds her arms as she walks, not particularly concerned about the two of them being jumped. Only an idiot would try.]
What the hell was so important that you had to risk your neck running around alone in the middle of the night, anyway?
no subject
[That was a very clearly normal course of action, right?
She makes no signs of recognition at the name, just continuing to smile up at her instead as they walked back together. When Yang asks her about her own actions, though, she dips her head a little. They're friends now, right? So she can tell her? Maybe not all of it, but... Still, she hesitates, eyes sweeping their surroundings. When she finally does answer, her voice is small.]
My friends and I, um... there are some people after us. [She's smart enough not to drop the name Cruxis in case she knows it's affiliated with the Church of Martel and changes her mind. Yang seems nice, she does, and Colette wants to trust her and believe that she wouldn't turn her over to the Church, but most people are very loyal to them, and Chosen or not, if the Church wants her then the people might just turn her in.] It's better to go out when there are less people around, just in case someone recognizes me.
fighting / drinking / mugging all the good stuff
she's right next to yang, a woman who's wild blonde hair seems to match what she found at the scene of the crime— the empty cupboards and refrigerator she'd woken up to this morning.
there's only a sidelong glance in yang's direction, as a spark of fire lights in pyrrha's eye. )

Tonight must be my lucky night. Not every day I get graced with the presence of a dead celebrity.
[She slants a dry look at the hooded Pyrrha, noting the fierce look in her eye.]
I left my cereal box at home, otherwise I'd ask for an autograph.
