[As the feed clicks on, the voice on it is rather distorted sounding. As if a pair of voices are talking from a considerable distance, yet the words come out clear.]

I have a question for the powers that be in Fayren. Are there any laws regarding the hunting of wildlife in the areas outside the city? I ask because my appetite is considerable compared to mortals, and I do not wish to make any enemies because of it.

[The feed clicks off, awaiting an answer. However, reports of a massive crimson dragon would be coming in all day. It would seem that the dragonqueen is enjoying stretching her wings as she flies high over Fayren, getting more acquainted with the area.]

Eh, you should be able to hunt anything you damn please. Just so long as it isn't human or asks you not to eat it. I figure that's probably a good enough policy on things you should or shouldn't eat. Why? You a giant or something?

[Mirajane is normally much more polite, but she's been hit by the AU bug going around.]

Not a giant, no. But I am large. I am a dragon, after all.

[She's a little stunned to say the least... they're rather rare her world... almost extinct actually.]

What kind of dragon are you?

God dammit... I totally walked right into that one. I meant what kind of element or magic do you use?

[There's a beat as she ponders for a second what caused that reaction. Usually that would clear things up.]

I am the Aspect of Life. I have a fire breath, but my magic is primarily healing in nature.

Huh... that's pretty damn powerful. You ever have any students or anything like that?

Not among the mortal races, no. My power is not something that can be taught.

Have you ever tried? And what about immortals? Or other Dragons?

My power was given to me by the Titans that shaped the very cosmos. None can learn my power like a simple spell. The same can be said of my siblings. They cannot teach me, nor I them.

Huh... I take it they're not still around?

Once they shaped Azeroth they moved on to the next world needing shaping. ...So no. They are not.

Why are you so intent on learning my power?

HAH! HAHAHA... ahhhh... I am not, but I do have a... well let's call him a 'friend' who was raised by a dragon who taught him to use magic. I was merely curious for his sake.

[There's a definite annoyance that dominates her tone when she speaks next.]

I somehow doubt that you were simply curious for his sake. Perhaps it would serve you to remind yourself that you speak to a dragon, and humans make for little more than bite sized snacks to an annoyed dragon.

It's gonna take a lot more than an overgrown winged lizard to intimidate me buzzard breath. If you knew this kid like I do, you would believe that I was curious for his sake. His dragon parent disappeared on him when he was a child, and he won't shut up about trying to find him again. Plus he's got this enormous crush on my little sister and works for my arch rival in the guild who's guts I just can't stand.

But hey, you were the one who doubted it.

No, I am not a giant, but I am rather large. I am a dragon after all.

[Mavis seems both surprised and rather happy about it.]

One of my fellow Deputy Guardians is a dragon too. His name's Qubine. Have you met him yet?

I am, and I have not met him, no.

[She's definitely glad Mavis spoke up. She's feeling far more comfortable with this person.]

Maybe I could try to contact him for you?

But first, do you think it would be possible for us to meet in person?

That is not necessary. They are not of my flight and my title would mean nothing to them.

That is acceptable, yes. I don't think I'll be hard to find in the forests outside the city.

[Considering she was lounging in her dragon form and even laying down was taller than most trees, the ruby-colored dragon would be very easy to find.]

Flight and title? [Mavis can't help but feel bad that, after all the time she's spent dealing with dragons, those words don't mean much to her.]

I'll see you shortly... [She pauses, suddenly realizing something.] I forgot to ask about your name?

I am Alexstrasza, Queen of the Red Dragon Flight of Azeroth and Aspect of Life.

[She says it with a hint of amusement in her voice, awaiting the arrival of the mage.]

[Mavis arrives shortly. Though it takes her a big longer than usual because, usually, she would have run to meet with Alexstrasza. But this week, she's en empress and empresses don't run.

She's wearing a nice dress with white and pink frills and black ribbons. Her long blond hair reach the back of her knees and she's walking barefoot. When she's close enough to the dragon queen, she bows respectfully and smiles at her.]

Nice to meet you, Queen Alextrasza.

[She smiles, bowing her head to meet Mavis.]

Please, there is no need for formalities. You are not of my flight, you owe me no loyalty. Here we are equals.

[Then, there was no need for Mavis to point out she was an Empress. ~~Especially since it was only for a week.~~]

I will absolutely take you up on that offer. Right now, the only clarification I desire is any restrictions on hunting. I do not wish to over hunt if the ecosystem cannot handle it, nor do I wish to encroach on other predator's food. At the same time, a dragon of my size requires a lot of sustenance.

What's your food regimen usually composed of?

Meat primarily. It is unfortunate that the fauna of this realm lack the size I'm accustomed to in Azeroth.

That would be a problem.

[She ponders the question a moment.] As long as you hunt non sentient creatures, animals that do not belong to anybody [Whether pet or cattle, and that includes pokemon.] and that you make sure not to kill too many creatures of the same species, I believe no one will object.

But if you can vary your diet a little and add more vegetables to it, that might help, too.

[Because he's curious, and switching to video might just prompt the other party to do the same.]

...don't believe so, well, long as it's nothing sapient. ...well, long as it's nothing that can issue a complaint, you know how laws are, never mind that, though, you said mortals, that's int'resting, if you're not mortal, well, hate to ask an obvious question, but what are you?

[...he does have one singular point of dread, there, but he's pretty sure it's not that. The voice isn't right. ...okay, not "sure" so much as "really hopeful."]

[A moment later, a video feed clicks on but seems to be obscured by something. That something is quickly revealed to be a massive claw, revealing a massive yellow eye surrounded by scales that glittered like rubies. A moment later the eye pulls back a bit to fit more of the dragon's face in the feed.]

I'm a dragon, and I have no intention of eating anything sapient.

[The Doctor raises his eyebrows--and grins, his voice going a bit high at first with excitement.]

Ohhh, hoho, you are a beauty, look at you! Blimey, this screen doesn't begin to you justice, is that cover for the mortals' sake, then? I can imagine you might be a lot to take in for most of them.

[At the same time, he's making estimates of her size based on the camera's view and depth of field, and he whistles a low whew half under his breath.]

Blimey, must take a lot of wildlife, have you considered trying one of the archways, they might be a little more spacious, not so easy to deplete, probably best to ask around to find the one that would suit you best... and... that you'd fit through.

[She cocks her her head slightly, a scaly eyebrow going up.]

I opted to use just the voice setting since these devices are so small and the video is rather cumbersome to activate with claws. I can - and do - take forms more suited to interacting with the mortal races when the situation calls for it, however I've spent so long in that form that it feels good to stretch my wings.

[And in the background a pair of gargantuan leathery wings do stretch out into view, temporarily obstructing the sun.]

I usually don't eat that much, but the fauna here seems far... smaller than what I'm used to in Azeroth. I thank you for the advice, sir.

Oh, right, sorry, yes, I'm the Doctor, and yeah, no problem, I'm here to help, well, I'm here the same as anyone, but I'm only mostly anywhere to help, so I figure what the hell, why break the habit. Yeah, been wondering 'bout the claws, glad you can, though.

[If she's nimble enough with her claws to use a phone properly, she's nimble enough not to hurt people accidentally, which is a good thing to know. He may or may not have deliberately planned on testing that.

Frankly, he may or may not know, himself, whether it was a plan or just luck.]

[The Doctor, hmm? Interesting. Never came across a human that called themselves by a title. She'll just file that information away for future inquiries.]

[She nods. Alex was fine. Just so long as it wasn't Allie. That's only for her close friends.]
