[Near the border between Fayren and Genessia City, there had been some odd construction going on, primarily at night, though nobody would see any kind of construction crew. Just a lone figure of seemingly varying sizes that was erecting what appeared to be a great tower. Today, however, the finishing touches had been put on the stone and gold tower, and a giant crimson dragon took roost upon the tower and gave a loud roar as if to announce the tower before slinking into an alcove much smaller than the dragon and disappearing.]

[After the roar to announce the tower's presence, Alexstrasza appears on the network in her humanoid form.]

It is with great pleasure that I announce the opening of what I am dubbing Wyrmrest Suites. It is an apartment complex on the Fayren side of the border with Genessia city. Anyone under the age of 18 can live here free, and those over 18 will be expected to help with minor expenses amounting to half of a one star payment per month. Anyone wishing to stay here need only contact me for a room.

[When the feed clicks on, Alexstrasza can be seen with what appears to be a rough charcoal sketch of what appears to be blueprints for a building stretched out on a table to her side, and a thoroughly charred hunk of meat on a bone in her free hand with a bite taken out of it.]

I have a question for those of the younger denizens of this place. I wish to create a place where anyone not of age can stay without fear of needing to dedicate their own resources to their room and board. However, I've not yet settled on a location, and would like to ask where the most convenient place to build such a sanctuary would be.

[When the feed clicks on, Alexstrasza can be seen lounging in relative darkness, a lone torch illuminating the area. Well that and a still flaming hunk of meat on a bone that looked as if it had several bites taken out of it.]

I feel like if I am to be a part of this world, especially without the responsibilities that kept me busy in mine, I should be a bit more active on this... 'network' was it? So, I suppose this is an open call for any questions you may have for me.

Though I have to admit I am fascinated that the holidays of this place seem to fall in line with the holidays of Azeroth. Though they have different names, it's not less comforting.

[The video shows 47 somewhere surrounded by plants -- yet not outdoors, as there's no sky, and the plants don't extend that far into the background, where his Pokemon might occasionally pass by. Perhaps more remarkable, for those who know 47, is that he's wearing something that, for him, is downright casual: An outdoor work shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a pair of slacks, similarly more rugged than his usual. There are smudges of dark earth here and there, both on his clothes and skin, but somehow they bring the whole look together instead of just making him look dirty. He looks... not exactly happy, he never looks happy, but... relaxed; less so as he begins to speak.]

To my students, I no longer work at the Red House Foundation. I'll be teaching at the Get Bent studio instead. [Yes, he said that name with a completely straight face. There is nothing funny about it at all. Stop snickering.] Lessons will be at the same time, so you won't have to adjust your schedule.

I'm also opening my plant nursery, Broken Sword Nursery, next Saturday. [It's still a bit cold to be planting things in the ground, but you can get your plants started indoors and move them outside when it gets warmer!] Snacks will be provided if you come in that day. You can bring your Pokemon as long as they're not too big and behave themselves. We're also hiring, if you're interested in working with plants.

That's all.

[NAILED IT. Perfect advertisement.]

[There's a few racing helmets on the counter next to Ilia that she seems to be debating over when the video starts.] I've noticed that when a lot of people arrive here they either go for bounty hunting or open a business. I can get behind why, since there aren't a lot of obstacles to get around, but I thought if I'm already here and don't have a choice about it--

[She pauses, picking up a helmet and looking at it critically. Needs paint.] Then what's stopping me from trying something I've never done before? I have no idea if I'll be good at it, but if you want to give to blow off some steam while failing colossally with me and make some money out of it, you can find me at the Hover Tracks in Nova City.

[Action at Nova City Islands]

[Ilia, along with her Kecleon, Cubone and Honedge, can be found relaxing at Nova City Islands. She managed to find a perfect spot for them under the indoor lamp, and is wearing a purple one piece while she takes in the artificial rays and heat. She needs to recharge somehow and she's sure at least 2/3 of her pokemon feel the same. She keeps her right arm around Cubone while Kecleon seems to drift between sticking with her and exploring.

Come ruin her chill time? Or just approach her.]

Routine for an immortal was something that was rather hard to get into. Especially without the pressing forces of war on all sides. As such, Alexstrasza had found herself struggling with finding something to do with her time. She did, however, get into a habit of going down to the docks, diving into the water after making small talk with Fayren's sailors and transforming into her natural form for some morning fishing. It was a good way to stretch her wings and get some exercise while not drawing too much attention to herself. After all, it was considered off-putting when mortals found a dragon of her size making her lair just outside of town. Today, however, she decided to fly over Fayren and watch the people go about their business while she ate her fish. She flew high enough that she didn't cast a shadow, but she was still damp from her swim, so a lingering drop or two might cause someone to look skyward, not that she was too concerned.

[The Beach, Fayren]

[Naturally, it hadn’t taken Katara long to find the beach once she and Zuko had found their way into Fayren. The waves were proving to be the perfect therapy for the anxious waterbender, and served as an even better playground for her new companions.

She can be found at the water’s edge later in the afternoon, beaming at the Lapras swimming not far from the shore as she bends the water it shoots to her higher into the sky in swirling formations.]

Good girl!

-----

The Singing Meadows
[While the beach seems to have had a more positive effect, Katara has stumbled upon something just as mesmerizing, but… in a way that makes her heart ache. She can be found at the edge of the meadows early in the morning, arms wrapped about her knees as she listens to the wind weave through the reed-plants.

It’s soothing, but… it reminds her too much of a certain Avatar back home, and the worry is clear on her face.

...Could be the scowl. Could be the tears she hasn’t noticed yet.]

-----

Fish Market

[It’s definitely not hard to find Katara wandering the fish market in the mornings as the catch comes in. She’s absolutely delighted, and it’s clear on her face as she meanders through the fisherman’s stations, trying to decide what she’ll be making for dinner. It almost reminds her of the Southern Water Tribe, and she’s comfortable here.]

Wow... all of this was caught this morning?

-----

Mokona's Magical Cafe

[While exploring the area, she might find herself outside of the cafe, wondering if they might have a decent cup of tea…]

➴ [ACTION] Shady Sellers

It is NOT for sale. [Hanzo's words cut through the crowded marketplace strip sharply, causing several of those people who are nearby to stop mid conversation and turn to where the archer is standing, currently fixing a hard eyed glare at another customer. The customer in question seems to be pointedly ignoring Hanzo's glare, having shrunk away after his initial harsh words -- but they're still eyeing the bow on his back. It's like NOTHING they've ever seen before, so of course they had to ask.

Hanzo, however sees it differently. He glances around at those who have decided to stand around and gawk, before turning on his heel with the intention to stalk away. Instead, he about faces into someone's chest, or back -- whichever it happens to be. Hanzo mutters something under his breath—a curse, a grumble— and mentally decides that he should have just stayed home today.

Eventually he steps back and addresses the other person]
Move.

[An apology would have been nicer, Hanzo.]

➴ [VIDEO] Drinks?

[He hadn't intended on video, but Hanzo isn't really concerned when it pops up as such. He's been here a few days, has gone through the usual disorienting arrival, and now he just wants suggestions on where he can go to get a drink.]

Of all the locations in this place, where could I find a good bottle of sake?

[At least this method of asking was convenient, he only has to ask once, and has the chance to get multiple opinions.]

[This little jerk's been here for a few days now. He's just not bothered letting anyone known until now - he had to get an idea on what was what here.]

Good... whatever period of time it is for you all. The name's Daiki Kaito. I'm a new arrival, but there's no need to let me know what's going on, I've heard it all from the hologram. I just felt like I should bit everyone a hello here. We all should be friends here, don't you think?

Also, hello, Tsukasa-kun. Long time no see. Don't play unfair now, understand? It's not fun to spoil surprises.

[Mavis is sitting in the Guardian's office in Fayren. She's smiling gently.] First, I would like to wish everybody a Happy New Year and to thank all of you who voted for me, allowing me to remain the Guardian of Fayren. I would also like to thank the other candidates for their kind words after the elections and during the debates. I will announce the names of my deputies by the end of this week.

[At this point, her look remains gently and her expression turns much more serious.] Second, as most of you have already heard or read, a blizzard is coming our way. It's supposed to hit Genessia tomorrow. I would advise all the citizens of Fayren to stay safely inside until the alert is over, unless cold doesn't affect you. Make good use of today to stock up on food and water for the upcoming days. There's no need for you to panic, though. The blizzard should only last a few days. So be prepared and stay safe.

Anyone who doesn't have a proper shelter is welcome to come to Fairy Haven. We have dorms for you to stay at and we can provide you with food as well.

[A pause and a now brighter smile.] Thank you for your attention and, again, Happy New Year!

[She bows slightly before ending the feed. Then she proceeds to send a few several private messages.]

I would like to congratulate Guardian Mavis on retaining her office in this recent election, and at the same time I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. This was a valuable learning experience, and it showed me I do have a lot to learn about this place and its customs. I've never seen a government function quite like this and I learned quite a lot by participating.

That said, I do not think I will be participating again until I have a more solid grasp on what is and isn't acceptable in these debates. In the meantime I look forward to working with you all to help safeguard this place in an unofficial manner.

Which brings me to my next point. This blizzard that I've heard talk of across the network seems to be of a particularly bothersome size and intensity. If I am needed anywhere, I would be glad to help.

[As the feed clicks on, the voice on it is rather distorted sounding. As if a pair of voices are talking from a considerable distance, yet the words come out clear.]

I have a question for the powers that be in Fayren. Are there any laws regarding the hunting of wildlife in the areas outside the city? I ask because my appetite is considerable compared to mortals, and I do not wish to make any enemies because of it.

[The feed clicks off, awaiting an answer. However, reports of a massive crimson dragon would be coming in all day. It would seem that the dragonqueen is enjoying stretching her wings as she flies high over Fayren, getting more acquainted with the area.]

[There was a lot of down time in the life of a dragon, especially one as old as Alexstrasza. However, she did not anticipate waking up in a pod 5 sizes too small for even her humanoid form after taking a nap in her lair. Once she managed to contort herself out of the pod, and got her horns unstuck, she sighed and stretched before taking note of the objects stuffed into the pod with her. She flipped through the pamphlet quickly before turning her attention to the phone.]

[It was about noon when the dragon queen emerged from the bay and began wandering aimlessly, seemingly oblivious to the fact that she towered over the civilians milling about. ...Or that she was holding up traffic as she walked on the side of the road. Her interest was very much fixed on the phone. She tapped at the surface and examined it with curiosity as she walked, unaware that she had started recording herself.]

What a curious little contraption. I've seen nothing quite like its kind in all my years... It's certainly not goblin made, and it hasn't threatened exploding so I doubt it's gnomish. Perhaps it's a relic of the Kirin Tor?

[There's a pause as she smiles lovingly at the device.] I will have to bring this back with me when I return to Azeroth. I'm sure Krassus would love to examine this. It will be a nice change of pace from his worries in Northrend.
