[Twas the day after the Christmas, and all through the city, all the children were at play, including a girl who's middle name is Kitty.

Though she answers to Anastasia. She was outside together with all of her Pokémon. She was dressed like the Princess she is in beautiful gown gifted to her by Ayame, her youth and beauty further touched up with a light touch of lip gloss and pink nail polish gifted by Minako.

She was standing beside her Nidoking, she was tied up in typical damsel-in-distress fashion. The Nidoking makes a bold attempt to make a evil laugh. Her Sylveon, Glaceon and Ribombee stand together as if in opposite to Nidoking. Sylveon had a tinfoil helmet on its head while holding a toy sword and shield with its ribbon-like feelers.

Ribombee was holding a big stick and wore a napkin as a cloak.

Finally Glaceon was wearing the witch hat from Anastasia's Halloween costume.
Anastasia pretends to struggle to get free of the ropes as her Pokémon get ready to have what hopes to be an amusing a Dungeons and Dragons type battle.]

Please save me~! The evil King Nido will surely use my power to take over the world~!

[Sylveon raised the toy sword and skipped over, gently bopping Anastasia with it.]

Sylvie~ Syl~veon~
No, Sylvie, that's not how the knight saves the Princess.

[Sadly,she was bound tight enough that she can't slip her arms free. Therefore, she can't facepalm while Sylveon continues to fail as a pretend knight.

Someone should probably come help her.]

[The sun was fixing to set as the video kicked on to show the little lady back in her room, the gown she was wearing hanging in the closet door in the background while she was in a nightgown. She seems to be laying in her bed with something laying just off screen.]

It's been so much fun. I'm blessed to have such wonderful friends and I am ever thankful for the presents I got. I wish I could have done more for them. Maybe next year. Maybe some day...

What did everyone get for Christmas? What was your favourite gift?

[She moves the offscreen object into view, it was a white armoured pixie knight riding a cute armoured platypus. She was making it gallop heroically into view, even.]

I love everything I got on Christmas, but this toy knight is probably my favourite, along with the note that came with it.

[On her daily patrol of Genessia City, Karla happens by the park and sees a group of Pokemon playing. But something seems to be off. There's a girl who looks to be tied up, the big Pokemon is making an evil laugh, and the pink one is bopping her on the head. This isn't good...]

[So Karla rushes over to see what was going on. Even with these odd conditions, it was even more odd that they were in the middle of a public area. Usually when someone was captured, the captors would take them somewhere hidden.]

What's going on here?

[Uh oh. A deputy guardian! She was too much of a good girl to run from the law. Even if they were in a public area, they picked a spot that didn't interfere with the flow of traffic or got in the way of other kids wanting to play here. She smiles as her Pokémon looked over to Karla.]

We're playing. I'm the Princess who is kidnapped by the Evil King Nidoking, and those are the brave adventurers here to save me.

Oh, you're...just playing. I see...

[Well, that explains things. No harm, no foul. Karla begins to look around.]

Should I take a seat and enjoy the show?

Well, you can, but...

[Anastasia is interrupted by Sylveon bopping her on the head again with the toy sword.

Someone isn't being a very good knight.

Her Glaceon gets fed up. It walks over and bites the Sylveon's tail with a tug. Of course, that results in a fairy scream and a bop on the head for Glaceon as well.

After a brief Poké chat, they take their places again.]

...as I was saying, you're welcome to watch, but as long as it isn't interfering with your work. And Sylveon doesn't like to stay in character.

Nah, it won't interrupt my work.

[She frowns as she watches the Pokemon chat. At Anastasia's last remark, Karla wags her finger teasingly at the Sylveon.]

Come now, Sylveon, stay in character.

[She speaks gently, not wanting to be too harsh on the critter.]

[Sylveon looked around happily, looking, perhaps, for another Sylveon. It didn't take long to try pretending to be the happiest knight in the park, though.

Now, Anastasia probably has to actually put on some sort of show with narration now. So since her Pokémon can't talk... She starts with Nidoking's voice over. Not exactly easy to make a evil king voice one she is still a young girl.]

Wahaha! You have come far to meet your doom, Sylveon and Friends!

[Nidoking is going to get some Pokémon treats later for doing it's best to lip synch.]

Release the fair Princess Anastasia, evil fiend!
The light of justice will smite thee!
The elements cry out for vengeance!

[Voice overs for Sylveon, Ribombee and Glaceon respectively.]

The Princess's magic is mine! The world is mine! Have at you, Wahaha!

[Anastasia's Pokémon began to play fight, moving slowly as to not cause unnecessary harm or break the toy weapons.

Nidoking made slow, sweeping motions with its claws and tail, while Sylveon dodged, blocked with the foil shield and booped with the foil sword. Glaceon was making snowballs to throw at Nidoking. And Ribombee made pollen puffs to toss into Sylveon's mouth to heal. Even if no actual damage was being taken, Ribombee's pollen puffs make tasty snacks.

Her Pokémon were certainly having a lot of fun, while Anastasia herself just stood by playing the old school damsel in distress. It was a little boring, but she doesn't want to get this dress dirty.]

[Karla found herself a nice nearby bench and sat to watch the show. As the Pokemon began to play fight, Karla waved her fist towards them.]

Go, go, Sylveon and Friends!

[ Strolling aimlessly had been Noah's idea of getting used to the world around her now. It kept her mind off of things, and perhaps she could make a plan on how to not just get by, but maybe get home. She'd been looking for answers, but outside a particular research facility, nobody had any answers.

But just as she was almost-floating by another place, she saw a princess, tied to a lamppost, being menaced by... three creatures? Or rather, one big creature beside her and the other three were putting up a strong front.

Well it seemed that way, but the fairy-dog-like creature began to bap the hostage. Despite herself, Noah giggled. ]

Oh my goodness, I can't even tell who's the villain here.

It is-[bop~]-a mystery... [bop~] Sylvie, please stop. [bop, bop~]

[Anastasia sighs sadly, then the Nidoking nudges the Sylveon away. Only for it to get bopped as well.

Anastasia looked over to the newcomer. She can sense something about her that is different from others. Though she has been here so long now that nothing is weird to her.]

I hope we're not bothering you, Miss.

[ Noah continues to smile. This situation is a perfect distraction. ]

Not at all. I don't meddle in the affairs of play, this just looked very amusing.

But it looks like one of you has everyone else in the corner.

[ How well Anastasia detects Noah's presence as a highly magical spirit depends on how well she's able to detect magic... or ghosts. Noah's magical power is so thick she doesn't look like the latter at all. ]

[Anastasia lacks any ability to detect magic as her own is purely destructive. She's simply feeling slight nervousness about meeting new people.]

So it seems. Sylveon likes to play and doesn't like being help back. I would try to instruct her some more, but...

[She wiggles against her restraints. It wasn't intended for the rope to be this tight, but at least she got the captured princess role and look down perfectly. By now, her Glaceon was chasing Sylveon in circles while Ribombee and Nidoking just try to wait it out.]

So she's Sylveon, hmmm?

[ Noah looks at Sylveon for a moment. ]

They seem like a carefree spirit... a fairy, if you will. A fairy always needs direction, lest they wreak havoc.

[ Noah, trying not to sound bitter about fairies. Honest. Well, she respects the one who guides Erina now, but those feelings are just a little hard to let go. ]

That sounds accurate. At least Ribombee is more behaved. [She looks over to the bee fly Pokémon.] Isn't that right?

[Ribombee drifts over to its owner with a smile. Despite holding a stick which it was pretended to be a healer's staff, it didn't bonk her over the head with it.]

Ribombee much prefers gathering ingredients to make pollen puffs, which I hear make nutritious snacks.

[ It was good to know that you were right. Noah smirked for a moment. ]

Is Sylveon necessary at being a hero? For all I know, they're just a slacker.

[ Noah said that a little loudly, wondering if the Pokemon would take the bait... or even care. ]

Vieee?!

[Sylveon heard it, even while dogpiled by Glaceon. The intertwining Pokémon used its ribbon-like feelers to tickle Glaceon, making it laugh until it rolled off. It seems determined to prove it can be a reliable hero, but for now, Sylveon was sniffing the ground looking for the toy sword and shield that it dropped.]

Well, I think you got her attention.

[ This amused Noah. ]

I wasn't intimately familiar with fairies, but it's good to know that some things follow the same logic between worlds.

[ Noah spoke loudly again. ]

You'll need to get faster, who knows what dastardly plans the king has in store for this princess~

That's right, Sylveon. The evil king might make me his Queen instead.

[The Nidoking let out a low roar. The Sylveon found the toy weapons and lifted them heroically in its feelers, singing a super hero jingle.

Sylveon, Glaceon and Ribombee take their places again, ready to play act again.

Hopefully.]

[ Noah watches intently now. She considers interfering, but thought better of it. Had she judged Sylveon's character correctly? ]

Hihihi, are you truly ready for the final battle this time? If you fail, you'll be forced to take drastic actions.

[ The threat of that particular rabbit hole should be enough without actually going down there. ]

[Anastasia wasn't going to do any narration. She wouldn't be able to pull off a evil king voice well enough for her liking.

Her Pokémon were in place, and then the playfighting begins. Nidoking made slow, predictable swipes with his claws to be easily parried by Sylveon's toy weapons. Glaceon pretends to be a wizard and kicks snowballs at the Evil King. Ribombee plays healer by tossing pre-prepared pollen puffs in Sylveon's mouth.

Too bad Anastasia can't reach her phone to put on music to accompany the game.]

[ It's cute seeing a bunch of creatures playing together with their human master, but Noah was intrigued now. Alas, she wasn't sure how to provide for the battle in the ways Anastasia was imagining. ]

Not bad, not bad. Hihihihi, can you withstand the King's dirty tricks?

[ She can, however, egg them on in that vaguely villainess kind of way. ]

My thoughts and sentiments exactly, princess.

Ah, well, I shouldn't like to be vulgar and ah, rank my gifts, but one I liked especially were these charming...charms given to me by Konoka. Supposedly you need only attach it to a weapon--any weapon--and it'll imbue it with glorious light. It's, hah, got me wishing I could encounter some dreadful villain just to try it out!

That sounds interesting... Does it actually glow?

[And a random thought occurred...]

...Can it work on anything not traditionally intended to be a weapon?

I would hope so! Goodness, wouldn't that be lovely? Radiating with the light of thirty torches like Excalibur itself? Aheh, then again I might be blinded just as badly as any I'd like to beat. Suppose that would've been a pertinent question to ask...

Mm, good question. If only they weren't too precious for such an experiment. Much could be a weapon, granted, had one the will. Still, applying one to, say, a folding chair? Hah, no, that's much too vulgar!
