[He's holding a newspaper in his other hand, having presumably been hit in the head with it when the paperboy threw it while Lucky was leaving his apartment for work.]

Anyway, [and the little lion bot hops up on his shoulder while he's talking] so who's ready for New Year's?

[Guess he's just trying to make small talk till he gets there.]

Nope he's a little robot lion my dad gave me when I was little.

[Which is technically true, he just didn't have the Kojishi Kyutama on him to make Caesar big when he got here.]
