[Yang has set her communicator on a shelf at the store, so she can film herself with her grocery cart of supplies.]
Hey guys! Seems like some people aren't quite sure what to expect with the blizzard the papers warned about, so I thought I'd show you what kind of supplies you should pick up if you don't have them already. First, figure out how many people are going to bunker down with you, and then buy enough supplies for everyone plus one. Just in case there's a straggler that shows up unexpectedly, it's better to have more than not enough!
Pick up food that you can eat without having to cook it, things like dried jerky, protein bars, peanut butter sandwiches...stuff like that. If a storm is bad enough, it can knock out the power, so you can't rely on your fridge. I'd hold off on buying any groceries that might need to stay cold since there's a chance they might spoil.
...Unless you want to put them in the basement or someplace that's going to be cold, I guess. Anyway...
[She shrugs with a toothy grin.]
You'll also want a gallon of water per person per day, just in case the pipes freeze. You can fill your bathtub with extra water you can use for washing and cleaning, too. Make sure you've got a really good sleeping bag that'll keep in your body heat, and something warm for your head too.
[She holds up a knit cap from her cart and a rolled up sleeping bag.]
Get your laundry done today so you have clean clothes to wear! You'll probably want to layer up on socks and sweatshirts. Also make sure you've got flashlights, and LOTS of extra batteries. Your first aid kit should be stocked up too with bandages, antiseptics, medicine, and pain relievers. Ooh, and these are cool too!
[Yang leans into the cart and scoops up a few square, flat, silvery packages.]
These are hand-warmers! They've got a chemical inside that generates heat when you bend the pack. It's not going to be a LOT of heat, but it's great for hands or feet, since they tend to get cold the fastest. Having a pack of cards and some board games on hand will help pass the time and keep you from being bored. ...So maybe they're...BORED games... snnnrrkkk...
[Yang plz.]
Finally, make sure you've got a roll of weather-seal tape. I mean, if you get the paper on a regular basis you should have this already...
[She rolls her eyes. Darn paperboy.]
But just in case a window gets broken, you'll want some of this on hand to keep the heat in and the cold out.
Those are the essentials! Stay safe and warm, and keep your communicators close to call for help if you need it!

[Private to Mercury, Emerald, and Garrus]
It looks like your building might not be the safest place to live when the blizzard hits. We've got room here at our apartment if you want to come over. I don't know the other tenants who live up there like you do, but if you know 'em, go ahead and extend the invitation to them too.
Let me know if there's any food or drinks you want me to stock up on! Be careful out there!
[She grins with an informal two-finger salute.]

[Private to Raven]
Hey, Mom. Not sure what your living situation is right now, but I'm guessing you're not the type who's going to rent out a room at the inn. Why don't you come stay at my place until the storm blows over? Regency's one of the nicer places, so we probably won't lose power. Whaddya say?

Hmm...
[there's a lot. not everything is checked out either. he'll spend his time there too when he's not working or training.]
Mostly about Genessia, the surrounding cities, the spirits, any little hints or clues I can try and piece together- case there's something I missed...
[Makes sense. He's still at that stage where he not only wants to go home, but still thinks there's some hidden clue or mystery that no one else has discovered yet. Far be it from her to burst his bubble about that.]
Anything good?
[Two family-sized jars of peanut butter ought to do it. Into the cart they go!]
[video] -> [Audio]
[he'll stand back up after putting his keys in his pocket. the snow's getting a little thick for his bike. so he'll hafta go it by foot. not a big deal for him! he's heading for the front door.]
Hn- hang on a sec.
[the video cuts out there as Cloud perches the device against his shoulder with his head tilted into it to keep it put.]
Let's see... [faint sound of something zipping up, his vest to cover his neck so he stays warm out there. Cloud's in the process of getting his boots on.] Nothing that doesn't just sound like history and information... But these Subarchways got me interested.
[not that he's keen on the idea of potentially losing something in a bid to open a new path. but...was the answer beyond that?]
[Audio?!]
[She'll go over the video footage later. If he's got a TV, chances are good he might have a video game console too.]
Sometimes it's a good idea to have access to your home. Just make sure it's worth the price. If it's just homesickness pangs, the Dream Docks are a better way to go.
...Are you heading out? Should I call back later?
[Audio] unless you want a shot of Cloud's ear really upclose
[whens he asks about if she should call back, he's finished putting his boots on as he takes one of his swords and sheathes at the back of his waist. he just needs one just in case]
Hey, if you can multitask- [pats himself down... does he have everything? yup. he's got everything.] -so can I.
[now that he's finished getting ready, Cloud's got a hand on his phone so he can start walking normally now as he heads out into the snow.]
You ever try the Dream Docks yourself?
[Audio] so sexy
I think it does affect our timeline a little, as far as 'going back to the same point as when we arrive.' Because when I went back to sleep or whatever, it was at the last thing I remembered seeing in the Dream Docks, instead of the last thing that happened in Remnant. The effects were pretty similar, though, you know?
...Well...I guess you wouldn't yet...
[Audio] u-unf~ 1/2
what happened to Yang... what she saw...]
... .... .....
[he stops.]
.......
[Audio]
[Audio]
[It isn't like he said he's going right NOW, it just seems like that's what he's planning.]
[Audio]
I think I'll wait until this blows over. You never know if there'll be trouble.
[or people who needed help.]
[Audio]
Good point. It wouldn't surprise me if we got snow monsters or something running around.
Guess I should stock up on more ammunition in that case!
[Audio]
[Audio]
[She doesn't have access to your game, Cloud!]
[Audio]
Trust me on this one, Yang. You don't wanna know.
[... knowing her though, that's not good enough]
They're gross.
[Audio]
I think I can handle monsters that are a little 'icky,' Cloud.
[Audio]
... Really? All few dozen tentacles, eyeballs, big-mouthed, nasty breath of 'icky'?
[Audio]
In the end, a monster is a monster. Killing one is no different from any other mindless man-eating threat.
[Audio]
[... squick, Cloud? does Cid have to give you grief again for your choice in vocabulary?]
[Audio]
[She's not buying any for the blizzard, that's for sure.]
Guess it comes with the job?
[Audio]
I guess so.
