Uhm... Hello.

[ Adela turns on the video in her room, where she's sitting on the bed and practically buried in blankets. She also has her large bear of a dog (a Tibetan Mastiff for those informed on the breed) sitting docile beside her, curled around her for clear warmth, but it doesn't seem to stop the red head from shivering regardless. If the fact that she still seems cold in spite of everything doesn't seem right, perhaps the fact that the only light seems to be natural light from outside may be the tip-off.

Regardless, she seems uncomfortable, sighing before before shaking her head and rubbing the back of her neck with her free hand. ]

My name is Adela, and I thought I should at least introduce myself.

[ She pauses, frowning away from the camera. ]

I suppose I should say 'nice to see you all again', but if you knew me before I am unlikely to recognize you -- whether you were a friend or not. Uhm, not unless the name "Nautilus" is familiar to you, at least. So... I suppose I wish to apologize for that. For what pain it may cause because I have forgotten. Or have never known in the first place? I do not know quite how that works. Just know that this is not the first strange world I have awoken in, and I do not know if it will be the last.

If I may pose a question for the rest of you though, how do you pass the time if you are in one place for a while? Whether you can leave or not. And I do not mean the cities themselves -- I mean inside of a building, like one's home as an example.

Sorry, I don't usually get cold anymore, being made of smoke, so I don't keep much around.

It's okay to be sad about missing people though. Or to talk.

[ She couldn't help the slight noise from another quilt dropping on her, the dog shaking around to get his head out from under the blanket a moment later. The comment did have her raising a brow at Smoker though. ]

Wait, you do not feel cold at all? ... How?

Well, not never, just not as much. I mean you can freeze smoke. Just not easily.

Like how Portgas is fire. [Turns his arm to smoke, then back.]

[ TERMS. But she stares at Smoker's arm when he does that, blinking before looking back to him. ]

I think I see... Are there many abilities like that where you are from, then? Where someone turns into fire, another to smoke... I can only imagine that there are more.

[at least she's bundled up well enough. as far as physical appearances went, at least. as for Cloud? he's sitting back against the wall of what appears to be an ever spanning bookshelf. one of many in the library, no less, as there's books behind him. Cloud's taking a break from reading as he skims through the network in his own little private part of the library away from the others.]

I've been finding books do a good job of that.

[Cloud was just driven by researching Genessia, to be honest. but...it wasn't a lie either.]

There are plenty of those here, but not many I understand. It is all technology I had...

[ She pauses, frowning because of what she's about to say next. ]

... I had apparently studied it all before, when I was here previously. I cannot say I know why, but I am unsure I wish to know in this case considering what it is.

What sorts of books are you reading if you do not mind my question, sir?

Mostly about Genessia. Been trying to find links between the spirits, our worlds, whatever I can get.

[ In spite of herself she can't help smiling, as if remembering something more fondly. ]

It was a place very much like this one, where many of seemingly different worlds gathered. Of course, it had its differences as well.

But you speak of spirits, here? Are they the reason why we are here in the five cities?

Nautilus? [he blinks, but luckily this girl is gracious enough to explain to him. ah, another place like this... he almost wants to make a note of it, least there be some form of a tie between the two. he's looking anything if it means a link back home. much as the future scares him a little.]

Part of the reason, apparently. But... It's nothing I haven't heard before from the Schnee Company and their info centers.

Well, surely the Schnee Company managed to get this information from somewhere, whether they found it out from the spirits themselves or they found information in other places, right?

[ She seems thoughtful, tilting her head a little and resting her chin in her hand for the moment. ]

Perhaps seeing where they found their information will help you find out more.

... Admittedly, I am a little curious about the spirits now as well.

It is far too cold for that, and that aside I no longer have my sword. It was a nice thought, at least, and I do thank you for that.

You are a swordsman as well, then?

Is there a smithy here? I could make one. Or establish a smithy, though I have wont to do other things.

Wait, you are a blacksmith as well?

[ She seems surprised by the revelation, both eyebrows raising as suddenly the conversation becomes a lot more interesting to her. ]

I have heard from Smoker that there is a forge here, though I have yet the chance to see it for myself. But are you a journeyman, or a master? Perhaps still an apprentice, though you seem like you would be a little old for that...

Yes, it is what I was apprenticing to be before I became a knight...errant.

[Hearing there is a forge is very promising, he'll have to seek it out when the weather clears.]

I would be a journeyman, but after I find the forge I will need to check on my akills, and the metals here.

Anyway, reading is my preferred activity.

[ She frowns that that. Ted... She remembers him from the summer, and it isn't exactly a nice memory. She doesn't remember the exact details though, and it's worth at least trying to be civil now, isn't it? ]

There is not much for me to read here at the moment, at least not that I would feel comfortable reading. At least... Not if there is real reason for such complicated texts to be here.

It is less that they are confounding... I mean, they are, but that is not what bothers me about them.

A lot of them are about false limbs, made of metal. It is fascinating to be sure, but it also makes me worry for why my other self was studying such material in the first place. I... I would hope it was out of mere curiosity, but I still cannot help ill feeling for it regardless.

Being forgotten might be a painful thing for people, but really when you think about it. It gives them and you the opportunity to be able to start over and become friends all over again.

Games. I like to play video games, but other kinds are fun and interesting even if I don't play them as often. It means spending time with people after all, which is nice.

I wonder if it truly is such a simple thing. It seems to be for some, but... I am afraid I cannot comprehend it so easily.

I can only assume a video game is a game played with a screen like what we use to communicate here? I cannot say I have ever played such a thing, but it would be interesting to try should I come across any.

The world is probably never simple either way. It's not like it would happen overnight or something. But... I guess I wouldn't be able to fully understand it.

It is and they are very easy to come across if you are in Genessia, Nova City or Attleon.

What of the other cities, Fayren and Everglade? I... I confess that I have not yet read the pamphlets as thorough as I likely should have, so I know little of the cities themselves.

They way they are video games would not be something you would find in those places. Ones magical and fantasy and the others sort of like a horror movie.
