[That sure is a lot of snow. Back home, Jeb used to love to go outside with his friends and brothers and sisters to do the usual fun snow things. Angels, snowmen, snow forts, snowball fights, then back inside for hot chocolate afterwards. But there's no way he's going out or convincing Tori or anyone else to, not in this storm. It's less a fluffy winter wonderland and more a blinding white nightmare.

He hopes everyone is as safe as they can be.]

So, um...hi. It's me, Jeb, and I just want to say I hope everyone's okay! Even if you're trapped somewhere, I hope it's safe.

I wish I could think of something to do to help anyone in trouble, though...

Ah, forgive me. I've been in this world for so long that such things sometimes fail to occur to me.

You may call me Zeref. { A name he doesn't expect Jeb to react to; the level of infamy attached to his name in this world is dwarfed by that in his own world, and he doubts that's where Jeb is from. }

Yeah, Tori and I are just fine. [So far. He does worry about the power cutting out or the heat breaking, but so far, everything seems okay...]

[She understands he wants to help, but putting themselves in danger is helping too.]

Do you have enough water and food to last a few days at least?

Mm, we will. [He may want to take care of other people, but he knows when something's impossible. ~~Usually.~~] We have plenty, yes, I got some bottled water and soup when I went shopping the other day.

[Tori knows Jeb's love for hot chocolate, especially after a fun day out in the snow. It's impossible for her not to, for as long as they've been together and how long they've known each other otherwise. The least she can do is use the fact that she can make it and not screw it up to her advantage.

Shortly after his video post, he'll hear a knock on his door.]

Jeb? It's me. [She scolds herself for stating the obvious -- who else would it be? None of the Pokemon speak English.]

[He's playing with Faith when he hears the knock. Faith actually runs to the door and starts going Pikapikapika; it took her some time but she really took a shine to Tori.]

Come on in, Tori! Um, but watch out for Faith. Actually, I'd probably better move her. [Come on, Pikachu, it's not safe to stand in front of doors with people on the other side...she's not happy at being moved, but she doesn't complain too much]

[She waits to allow Jeb to move Faith away from the door. Honestly, the fact that the Pikachu took a shine to her really warms her heart. She can't help it when it comes to cute things...

Once she's sure it's safe, she opens the door to Jeb's room and then closes it behind her.]

I made hot cocoa. [She presents his mug with a grin, though she's holding both by their handles with one hand now. Careful, Tori.]

[Faith's disappointment about being moved lasts a microsecond; she's soon sitting on top of the desk trying to look as cute as possible. Jeb smiles as he carefully takes one of the mugs, doing his best not to spill.]

Thank you! It smells great, too. [It does, though she could have still added too much or too little mix...still, it's the thought that counts!]

[If there's one thing Tori has confidence in when it comes to making food and beverage, it's not messing up hot cocoa. Jeb doesn't have to worry. She grins at him, bringing her own mug to her lips.]

You're welcome. So~ what are you doing in here? [She blows on her hot cocoa before taking a sip.]

[He takes a sip of his own after letting it cool for a few moments. Yeah, it tastes as good as it smells!]

Trying to decide what kind of art project to start...I definitely have the time for it. But then Faith wanted to play, and it's impossible to say no to her.

[She glances over at Faith, grinning wider at her than she had at Jeb.]

That's way too true, isn't it? [Letting out a soft bout of laughter, she moves over to the desk to gently pat Faith on the head.] How could someone even consider saying no to this cutie?

[And Faith starts 'pikaaaa'ing like crazy, rubbing her head against Tori's hand.] It's amazing how she's become so comfortable, remember how shy she was when I first got her? It helps that Sneako and Maria have been so nice to her all along.

[That only encourages Tori to pat Faith more, of course. How can she resist, when Faith is so cute?]

I'm glad she's gotten so comfortable. She sure was a shy thing, huh? [She scratches under Faith's chin.] It does help that Sneako and Maria have been so nice to her from the get-go, yeah. I bet Cynny, Oreo and Flora helped out, too. It's great that we have so many Pokemon who are sweeties, huh?

Yeah! Some of the ones we only had for a while weren't very nice...even if it was still sad to say goodbye to them, I think we made the right choices in who we kept! [Faith keeps luxuriating in the attention, of course!]

We absolutely made the right choice. Never doubt that~

[She laughs briefly before falling into silence for a moment. After that, she speaks up again, still happily scritching under Faith's chin.]

...hey. It's almost as if we have a happy little family here, isn't it? You, me and all the Pokemon.

Mm...you're right. Kind of like the family we've always wanted, only with just pets and no kids. Not that the Pokemon aren't like kids in their own way! [Really, sometimes the only difference is that they don't speak human language.]
