Voice/Action for Tannusen
Shops closed.
[Well. Yes, Cassian. No one can get there. Oddly enough, this is not a video post, though, judging by the harsh rasp of his voice and the vague breathlessness behind it, chances are pretty high that he's gotten sick.
Tis the season]
Won't be open again what till this blasted storm blows over. Dorian, Belle, I better not catch sight of either of ye until the roads are clear.
... And aye, yes we'll be havin' the tits up special at the shop again, cos everythin' has, predictably, gone tits up again.
And it'll be half price on fire startin' spells until the end of winter.
[And with THAT, the feed ends.
As for Cassian, he's more or less a shapeless lump of blankets in bed, wheezing, coughing... and yet still better than he was last year at this time.
Sure he wants to go downstairs for tea and soup. But it's cold out there and he doesn't hate himself that much.
So Tannusen will instead get to hear the dulcet sounds of his fiance's rasping, reedy voice from upstairs-]
TANNUSEN. Get the kettle on and then fill it full of scotch, luv.

Are you at least somewhere warm, Cassian?
Re: [ Audio ]
Everyone should be in a house right now, if ye ain't, ye have fire for blood or shit for brains.

[ He sounds amused, not offended. ]
I'm helping out strays who've wandered by the library. It's sort of an impromptu shelter now.
Re: [ Audio ]
They can see the building, they ain't blind.

[ A beat, as he considers: ]
Though, if the storm continues as it is - you can barely see the hand in front of your face - I wouldn't be surprised if some souls needed help getting here, if they're stuck in that weather.

Plus, some people might get overconfident. No reason to let them freeze just over a bit of hubris.
[ Grins. He'd be hypocritical if he'd judge someone for overconfident, wouldn't he? ]
[action]
"Knock knock," the faerie slid the tray onto the nightstand, and moved to pull an edge of the blankets up to peek in at Cass.
Re: [action]
"Thank ye," he mumbled as he reached out to grab the kettle and a mug for the brew.
"I'm sorry to bother ye about it, could ye make one more trip downstairs for lemon and honey too?"

"You know, we can afford more heat in the house. Easily."
no subject
"It's been colder."
no subject
no subject
"Besides, winter ends."

Now that Cass didn't get dizzy and see things double when Enchanted, the tiger didn't always ask first. The world shifted, and... definitely warmed, thick blankets turning into thick furs, and a crackling fireplace was clearly audible on the chimerical side of things. The house was no longer an identical -- and faint -- impression of itself.
With a powerful faerie living here for a while now, it had morphed on the other side of reality.

Oh.
"If I wasn't busy dislodgin' a lung, I'd have to explore."
no subject
"It'll all still be there when you're feeling better," Tannusen chuckled, "more or less."
The pooka's usual coat had changed with the weather too, his own monochrome pelt seemingly draped over the top of the moonlight-cloth. There was a reason he didn't act as cold as he ought to in this weather; he wasn't.
The mortal world could only halfway effect him, after all.

"Tis been too long, since I've seen this half of the world, and I'm too sick to give it a thought." He peered blearily at one of the windows.
"I imagine outside looks beautiful."
no subject
"I'll have to do it more often, it's not like I'm lacking in Glamour." Velvet Lust could top him off without him even being there, at this point.
Tannusen combed gloved fingers through Cassian's hair, the tips of claws left just barely poking out helping to part the thick strands from one another.
no subject
"Later. I promise. We'll head out when me lungs clear up again." And when his temperature dropped. The fact that he was still freezing was indication enough that it was still holding steady.
no subject
"When it's warm out again I'd like to take you out on Jethro," look, the only times Cassian had ridden the bike-chimera had been while dragging Tannusen out of some shit or other. He hadn't ever gotten to just be on the bike while Tannu controlled it. "I... think I'll be around more. I don't feel like going to Velvet as often now."
Now that so many people had gone.
no subject
He moved his head, tilting it back to press a kiss to Tannusen's neck.
"Would ye enjoy it more if I went to the bar with ye?"
no subject
"Everything's better with you involved."
And then, "Do you think hot water would help your fever? Tub's bigger on this side."
Just sayin.

no subject
Not many people had ever heard that out of him in this form. Or in any form, really.
Enjoy, Cass.

This will work.
There's a dim chuckle as the rumbling starts up from the center of the pooka's chest, and he moved to rest a hand against that as well.
"Never heard it from ye like this before."
no subject
Because naturally, his human body couldn't do that; you had to be Enchanted or be one of his world's Fae, to hear it.
no subject
"Can't wait for summer to come back. Aren't even halfway through winter and I'm sick of it."
no subject
"Agreed on all points. Can't even ride Jethro right now without risking frostbite."
no subject
"He doesn't get cold does he? Ye can bring him in the house if ye like."
no subject
no subject
Ah, sounded like he was drifting off again, his face hidden again in Tannusen's chest.

You can hear the shiver in his voice, too.]
I'm sorry. For a moment there, I thought you had me confused with someone who dreams of dying of hypothermia.

I ain't never seen ye overwork yourself here like that.
Shop's next to me house, I can attend to 'em, I mean it when I say I don't want any other employees forgin' through wind and gale for the sake of a few spells.

Tell me what to do with the brews in me shop and stay inside.

((OOC note: I've already got Soma having gone out to do this in a later-set thread, so Cassian's not going to be able to talk him down.))
