WHO: Sertoria & Angela!
WHAT: Two angels stuck in their house during the blizzard. Shenanigans ensue.
WHEN: Blizzard event.
WHERE: Their house in Genessia.
WARNINGS: Possible sad stuff being discussed? Will update as we go along.
It had become commonplace for the mornings to comprise of Sertoria always being the first to greet Angela with a cup of coffee and breakfast already made for she didn't require sleep. And really, what else was she to do in the meantime beyond occupy her time with chores around the house to busy herself?
"Good morning, Angela. How did you sleep?" she spoke, a smile crossing her features while she looked at her. She strolled over to the table, placing down the plates of food that she made while still wearing that smile on her face.
There was a pause as she strolled over to the oven, looking out the windows as she saw naught much but sheer whiteness. For all the time she spent in Genessia, she never experienced a weather quite like this here. In her mind, she wondered how her friends were faring and if she should go out there and see what she could do to help out. Perhaps in a bit...
...when she's had some breakfast perhaps. She was still insistent that it was a waste of food to have her eat when she didn't require nourishment in the first place.
"Would you require anything else to eat? I would not mind making it for you if you do."

After thanking her for the coffee, she looked out the window while taking a sip of it, "I slept okay. It's a little cold, but not too bad otherwise." She would have asked Sertoria as well, but seeming as she didn't sleep, she refrained from doing so. After studying the outside, she went to go sit down at the table to eat breakfast.
"I'm okay with this, but I'm not sure if I can actually get to work like this. We'll have to see what happens," she'll have to call in later if she has to.

"That is good. I am glad that you were able to sleep well," she replied, still wearing that smile on her face. After she made some toast and helped herself to some leftover eggs, she walked over with her own cup of coffee.
"Since we are hospital staff, I am sure that we could find someone willing to take us in so that we can help patients if you would like to go to work today in this, Angela."

"I suppose. I guess I wouldn't mind, but if we can't leave than there's not much we can do about that," she shrugged. Maybe if nothing else, this could be a forced vacation on Angela's behalf. She didn't take enough time for herself as it was. It was still nice to spend time with Sertoria as well. "Hopefully things will die down soon."
no subject
"I hope so too, especially for everyone's sake." Even now, she placed others before herself as she was often known to do. She took a moment to glance outside the window, noting that the conditions didn't seem like they'd be dying down any time soon. "Hm... Is there anything that you would like to do around here, Angela?"
no subject
"Hmm... Nothing really comes to mind," she said until she realized with an "oh!" and got up to grab something. She came back with Bankruptcy and set it on the side of the table. "How about this?"
no subject
"I would love to play that with you," she said, finishing off her food. She pursed her lips together in thought and got up, going over to the pantry to get them some snacks and more to drink.
"Would you like some hot chocolate?"

"It has been ages since I played a game like this. I hope that my skills are satisfactory."

Well, there was always that.
"I realize that while I know the basics on you, you hardly know anything on me beyond my name and the fact that I can heal people with the use of my powers at the hospital. Would you like to know more about me while we play this game, and if you would like, you could divulge more about yourself?"
no subject
Oh, that's right.
"Oh! I'd love to know more about you. We could get to know each other better while we play," she said with a smile and a small nod, "What should we talk about first?"

A six. Not too bad, she supposed.
"It might be better for me to start off at the very beginning for myself," she began while shaking the dice again, this time getting a twelve. Her fingers wrapped around her piece and she started to move it over to where she landed at the Electric Company.
"I do not recall the exact date of my birth, but what I do know is that I was brought into the world via someone else's will and not my own. At first, I was a completely blank slate because it took a while for my personality to develop by it own. Anyway, my 'creator' took me under his wing to see if he could have the perfect biological weapon at his disposal and because I did not form the ability to question things since I did not have a free will at this point.
"At the time, I believed him to be kind because he was taking care of me. However, that was my naivete getting the better of me since what I did not know is just how vindictive he could be once I started to have my own thoughts and feelings develop thanks to my greatest friend and ally, as well as the one who I call my true father."
She decided to stop here for now so as to let Angela ask her any questions that she may have regarding how she was created, or who her creator was -- she figured that she might have at least a few.

It was easy to assume someone cared if you were brought up that way, so she definitely had her sympathy. The important thing was that Sertoria was able to grow from that and become her own person.
"I'm... sorry to hear that. So if you were brought into the world that way, what would you consider yourself to be?" no matter the answer, there was no wrong way to answer. She was just a bit curious. Rolling the dice on her turn, she rolled a five to land on the Reading Railroad.

The words came out almost instantaneously with no kind of emotion behind them. Despite how many times she had been told that she was just as human as everyone else, she didn't feel human, considering her origins. How could she with how easily she could heal from life-threatening injuries that ordinarily would kill a normal human? And yet, people still considered her to be as human as they were. While their words touched her, she still always questioned if she was truly as human as they claimed her to be.
"See, my father encouraged me to change my ways and become my own person since because of him, I realized that I was unhappy fulfilling the orders my creator gave me, which were to simply kill people. At first, before I met my father, I would follow my creator's orders unquestionably. However, when I ran into my father, it was because of him that I started to think for myself and figure out what I was doing was wrong and that was the start of developing my own will and thoughts."
There was a sigh as she took her turn, this time rolling a one. Although Sertoria's expression remained, for the most part, neutral, she couldn't help but feel tickled at the sheer irony of this.
"...My creator didn't like this when he found out about this. My father was one of my many targets to kill, and since I did not follow through on killing him, as well as me beginning to form my own thoughts and opinions, he saw fit to punish me. Before he managed to find me, I promised my father that I would not kill anymore and try to atone for the lives that I took."
It was here that after she put her piece down on States Avenue that her gaze was cast downward. No matter how long it had been since then, she always hated what followed after. She took a few moments to regain her composure, her sight still avoiding Angela's own. "However, on the day my creator managed to track me down, he forced me into a deadly gladiatorial battle where only one person could survive. The entire time during the fight, I kept on apologizing to those who I killed and when it was all over to where I could 'go back', I just...collapsed to the ground, covered in their blood and started to cry."
Even now, she was struggling to not break out into tears. She could still hear their screams and cries of pain, them pleading with her to spare their life... This very memory continued to haunt her, since she often wondered what gave her the right to live and them to die by her hand alone. Maybe it was what her creator was intending to happen all along so that she still could be reminded of what kind of monster she still was.

It's.... a word that sort of bugs her to hear her reference herself as, but she has no reason to say anything so she'll remain silent and listen. At least she was able to follow her heart and her own desires to change who she was; Having the opportunity to act on your own accord.
The next portion made her heart sink though. To be forced against your will to do something like that... It clearly hurt Sertoria on an emotional level. At least Genji still had a mind of his own and Overwatch -- as militaristic as it was -- gave him the freedom to act on his own, so as long as he followed their primary objective. She stared at the dice for a moment, realizing it her her turn to roll, but instead she stood up from her chair and walked over to her. Without any warning, she embraced her, figuring she probably needed it after telling Mercy something as traumatic as that. There wasn't much Mercy could do about the past, but maybe the comfort would be enough to showed that she was there for her?
"I'm sorry," was all that she said, barely making it out trying to figure out how to follow, "I... know it doesn't mean much now but.... I'll be here for you for as long as you need me."
