[ The camera turns on, light dim, and the sound of water can be heard lapping against stone. It's a familiar place to everyone, Kylo Ren hasn't even left the cavern before he reaches out, a scowl on his face as he speaks, quiet and calm. ]

I don't know how your....team did this, but you cant hide from me. I will find you.

[  He can sense so many people he shouldn't, it's confusing and down right infuriating.  There are people here that shouldn't be, couldn't be, and they don't feel quite right so it had to be a trick wouldn't it?  Kylo makes an aggravated face. Whatever it was, he needed to keep his guard up. He's been tricked and manipulated too much as of late, and it's exhausting him, the constant shift of power and conditions he's had to struggle through. ]

Whoever runs this planet... it was a mistake to collude with the Resistance. You will regret it.

I don't know anything about this Resistance, but I can tell you for sure that they had nothing to do with this! Pretty sure no one runs the planet, either. We all seem to be equally helpless to its whims~

[She's sure that she's had a similar conversation to this in the past, but she ignores that possibility.]

[ He looks at her like she's stupid, before pressing his lips into a thin line at her suggestion to relax. There was no way, a place where war hasn't reached? He's certain that the galaxy was fully invested in destroying itself. ]

Relax, when you've been taken captive. That sounds like the coward's way out.

[ Something about this person's voice aggravates him, and he scoffs. ]

I can tell that much from your voice. Child.

Who knows? If I had the answer to that question, don't you think I would have given it to you?

[Probably not. These types have always been fun to prod for her, after all. He doesn't need to know that, though! She doesn't seem bothered when he looks at her like she's stupid either, giggling slightly in response.]

Sure we've been taken captive, but in my experience? There are worse places to be~ [She smiles wider.] But hey, maybe you're right. Maybe it is the coward's way out, but on the other hand~ you also haven't been here as long as me. The place has its problems, but it's usually pretty peaceful. Making the most of it while you can and relaxing sounds a lot more appealing than stressing out about it unnecessarily, you know?

[ There she was... He knew she was here. Despite their last interaction, their connection is as strong as ever, even with the door closed as it was on her side. He could still feel it. He speaks quietly, trying to keep his voice even. ]

[ He pauses, before he laughs once, a short unpleasant thing. ]

[She's so cautious she hasn't even fully introduced herself yet. Which she should probably change... eventually.]

But just checking, is this Resistance fighting against some First Order?

[ He's watching her through the video, but he touches that connection gently, a quiet rap on the door she had closed on him. The fury he had felt when he swore to destroy her to his uncle has faded, and he's almost thankful to hear from her. ]

You never answered my last question, how am I to trust that you will answer any others?

[She feels him reaching, and while she doesn't completely rebuff him, she's not sure she's ready to reach back.

Her shoulders sag, her eyes sadly skimming over his face.]

Can we talk about that later? It doesn't matter here. There's no real Order, no war--

[She pauses, her voice growing soft.] --in a way, it's as you'd wanted it.
