I read there was a beauty pageant coming up. Now this is my kind of thing, I mean after all... [She smiles, running fingers through her hair.] Beauty is one thing I have in spades. [She gives a little wink.] But that isn't why I'm using this, no it's for another cause.

On June 30th it will be someone's birthday. Someone who is very important to me, so I want to throw her a surprise birthday party. But I'll need your help because I can't do everything alone. Things like an actual place to throw the party, cake and things like that. I mean I can set things out, I just need help finding everything on my list.

Oh, and your all invited too, of course I'm sure she would love to get to know more people here.

[She pauses for a moment.] Rei-chan, you have no choice in the matter, you will be helping, okay? [She looks rather seruious as she says that.]

Because it means you'll be doing most of the actual work on the day. [That was the catch. Minako already planned on being the one to distract Usagi on the actual day while things get set up.]

After all someone has to distract Usagi-chan for a bit and I'm good enough for that job. Until then I'm happy to search for things, but if you can give me any ideas you think might work, I'll be happy to hear them.

It sounded suspiciously like you were going to foist all the hard work on me while you and Usagi-chan goof off.

Considering it's a surprise party, someone has to keep Usagi-chan away from the even until the allotted time. [She is trying to look as serious as she can right about now and maybe for a moment she might be.]

I am taking this rather seriously though, I'm the one whose finding the place the gathering the things together for it, which will be a lot of running and hard work. All you would need to do is just put things up on the day.

[Sounds simple, heck she is even going to find someone to make a special cake in shape of a rabbit on the moon....Get it?]

Though, I would like to see what ideas you might have though.

Or you could just invite her over and we can all yell surprise when she gets there. She doesn't know that many people here just yet, so it probably won't be a big party, right?

[Otherwise she'll be EXTRA mad that she's left with the grunt work.]

That would work, but if I end up throwing this thing at my place well, she lives there too.

And it would mean having to throw her out to then invite her back in later, that would be very confusing.

[Raye was just about to say, why not throw the party at HER place...but it was pretty clear Minako just wanted to spend a day with Usagi, and who was Raye to begrudge them of that. She sighed. It would be nice to spend time with all of them, but given the way things were going right now, she might wind up bringing them down too.]

Fine, I'll set things up. You guys owe me some shrine chores.

That's good, I think I've cleaned enough for a lifetime thank you, but I will win that beauty pageant, it is my destiny to.

You see, I have decided to challenge myself by coaching someone else win this pageant. Though it goes without saying that I will not hold back, even against my dearest kohai~.

But no hard feelings! Really, since either of you win, it could be considered a win for myself!

I figured that to be true. [Though in her mind Usagi would probably beat them both hands down, but that's mostly because she is her Queen and partly because she does thing that Usagi does have some grace....sometimes.]

And who is it that you decided to coach then? Though how would me winning be considered a win for you?

Yeah, it's something where there are certain stages and it's judge based on looks, grace, style and how you answer questions.

I've already signed up, I mean why wouldn't I after all.
