1st warp strike. | action and voice
[closed to Lunafreya.]
Even after an hour of comtemplation, Nyx is still no closer to having any idea of what happened. He listened to the hologram, got halfway through before he rolled his eyes and tuned it out. Looked at the pamphlets, got an idea of what to expect from the different cities. That isn't the problem, not in the least.
He's alive, somehow. Or is he? The scars are still there, covering the entirety of his arm and traveling up along the side of his face. His armor is still in tatters. This doesn't feel like any after-life he's ever heard of, but at the same time, being alive wasn't part of the deal. A life for the power of the Lucii. That was the deal.
Either King Regis pleaded his case more convincingly after everything was all said and done or something went horribly, horribly wrong. And more than likely he can only wonder if it's the latter, because why else would be he be here, so far from home?
For a long time, he doesn't stray very far from the cave he woke up in, considering his options, how to proceed. But he needs to find answers eventually.
Though perhaps the first order of business should be new clothes - the remains of his armor do nothing against the cold of the snow as he trudges into the city proper, arms scarred and not wrapped tight around him.
Thanks, past kings. Jerks.
[voice.]
[Eventually, though, there's a new voice over the communicator, after a quick test to figure out how it works. It's gruff, and tired, confusion well hidden under the dry tone of the only question worth asking after everything that's happened:]
This is Nyx Ulric, former Glaive to the late King Regis Lucis Caelum of Lucis, may he forever rest in peace.
[After all, Lady Lunafreya had mentioned that they weren't alone here, right? And more importantly:]
Where's a guy need to go to get a decent drink around here?
