[ After successfully Not-Tomb Raiding and getting payment for the most recent job (and Lucy hoped that the herb was actually going to work for that poor girl) it was time to do some well earned shopping. Not alone though, Neveren, the youngest member of Fairy Tail (kinda) was accompanying her. Her first stop is picking up some cooler clothing for herself and the kids since Regina was busy on a job herself. Next she stopped at a toy store, where she picked up something for him and herself. Her last stop was at the ice cream shoppe before heading back to Feyren to the guild. ]

[ Come one come all! ]

[ Provided she didn't run into her partner outside, there was just as much chance she'd run into him inside. On returning home, Neveren and Justine were given ice creams and the rest of the treats placed in a cooler from Genessia before Lucy went up to her room, taking out one more thing from her bag. A cute little red dragon plushie. Don't judge. She can't quite keep from giving it a squishy hug and smooching it's little snout before putting it down on her bed. Shh, sneaky, no one saw that right? ]

[There were many advantages to Natsu's prefered method of entry. One of course was the ability to slip in unnoticed at just the right time. Like right now. THough the moment he sees Lucy in the room he quickly ducks back away from the window and listens for a moment before slowly peeking over the window sill to see what Lucy will do next.]

[ Tsk! Spying on her! Fortunately she didn't notice, though she does study the little dragon plus a moment, picking it up again. ]

Hmm... you need a name... [ What shall she call him. WHAT shall she call him? She wiggles the dragon between her hands a little, before giggling. ]

I've got it; You can be Natsu too. A cute dragon like this - I bet he'd look just like it if he was a dragon all the way. [ Chuckling, she tossed the dragon up and down a little. ]

Ahha, if Natsu heard me call him cute he'd never let me hear the end of it. So it's our little secret, okay Natsu-dragon? Besides, I like him the way he is. [ Catching the dragon as it tumbled down into her waiting hands, she gave it another hug. ]

So much more than cute. [ Not telling if she meant her partner or the dragon though. Never telling. She set the doll aside. ]

[He's not spying. he's eavesdropping. There's a difference! Though what he hears does baffle him a bit. She called it Natsu too. She even called it cute. The more he listened the more flabbergasted he got. Did she really mean just that toy or did some of that extend to himself? Either way it sounded like she was done for the moment so he waited a few more moments before climbing up on the window sill.]

[ Ohhhhhhhhh. Eavesdropping. Then yes, that's a completely different thing! Yeeeeeh. She was in the process of rummaging about for one of her manuscripts when she heard Natsu coming in the window. ]

Oh, Natsu..! [ She hesitated. He didn't hear any of what she was saying right? right? ] Erm - Nev and I stopped by for some ice cream earlier - there was some spicy hot pepper ice cream on sale that I thought you might like to try, so I left it in the cooler downstairs.

[ Hopefully no one else eats it. Hilarious that would be. ]

[Clearly different! Still it should be obvious from the look he's throwing her way that something might be off. ]

Oh did you? Guess I'll go look into that afterwards.

[For now though he's scanning the room for the plushi to get a better look at it.]

[ She blinks at that look, puzzled. ]

Y-yeah, um.. [ Natsu acting odd is never a good sign. ]

Is..everything all right?

[ He wasn't mad she took Neveren out with her instead of him, was he? That'd be silly. Meanwhile the Natsu-dragon was perched on the middle of the bed, innocent and cute. It's just a precious little plush that probably had Lucy's scent all over it now given the cuddles and kisses she gave the darling little thing. ]

[She didn't hide it. Then it's okay if he walks up to her bed and takes a seat before picking up the plushie and holding it by the back of its neck as he examined it. So this was cute huh?]

Hmm? Oh yea everything's fine.

[Well at least it's a red dragon. Though wait why did that Even matter? It was just a toy.]

[ It hadn't occurred to her to hide it - although she was reconsidering that choice when he picked up the dragon plush. ]

.. you're sure...? you're kind of... [ acting weird. Glancing at the dragon plush, and then Natsu himself, she fidgeted in her seat a little, glancing away. ]

Oh um - I just saw that dragon at the toy store I took Nev to earlier. [ What, there's no law against buying dragon plushies! Or giving them cuddles. Erm. ]

[He's going to eye it a little longer before tugging at a paw idly.]

So you find this kind of stuff cute after all. Didn't see that coming at all.

[ She huffs a little bit, cheeks puffed. ]

Well.. why not? I'm a girl, and girls like cute things too you know..!

[Satsuki isn't in the best of moods. She's having a bit of difficulty with the school situation, Ryuko is being a huge pain, and Kazuya doesn't seem to have learned his lesson. It's just once annoyance after another but she had found her experience in a clothing store with Nonon to be surprisingly relaxing.

So she decided to come again on her own time to try and uncover Nonon's fashion secret. Just how does she manage to look so good in pink? Why does she have so much fun sorting through clothing for that matter?

Currently she is standing at a three direction mirror. After about four minutes of intense conteplating (conteplation so intense that the shop assistants decided it might be best to stay away until that aura calms down) she raises a frilled, pink dress up to her chest. At that very moment she then notices Lucy in the reflection and not only do her eyes widen, her cheeks pinken as well.

She immedietly drops the clothing, turns her back toward the mirrors, and pretends to be interested in something else.]

[Honestly making that kind of face isn't helping at all to stop him from asking questions.]

Well just wondering what you find cute about this little guy. It's not like any of the other plushies you see most of the time is it?

[Since even he knows girls prefer princes and charming woodland creature toys.]

[ Yeah well! She's gonna do it anyway! ]

Wha ..well no, I guess not.. but I .. don't know, he just is. [ He reminds her of a certain someone! She grinned sheepishly, ] And it's soft and huggable.

[ Also like a certain someone she knows. -cough- Let other girls have their princes and fluffy animals. She wants a dragon~! ]

[ Nope, nope, you're totally busted, Satsuki. Lucy had been waiting for Neveren to come out of the changing room so she could see how a shirt fit on him, and happened to catch sight of the other girl. With a frilly dress no less. ]

Satsuki? Wow, I didn't know you were into something so girly~ [ She padded over, picking up the dress and dusting it off. ]

You should be more careful with it - here.

Soft and huggable huh?

[Squeezes his middle a bit and has to agree it feels fairly nice.]

Still don't see what part of this guy is like me though.

[Wooopsie.]

Sure. It makes it easy to sleep wit- [ And she freezes in her chair at that slip up, her face paling. Ohgod. OH GOD did he hear all that before? Ackackack. Aaaaaaack. ]

Ee-m. Wh....what makes you say that? [ If he overheard her saying all that did he see her giving it kisses and hugs too? Oh dear god. ]

Hm? What was that?

[Oh he caught it. Remember, Dragon Slayer hearing that could pick up even her desperate call for Asuka's name during Lucy's fight with Flare.]

Well...you were talking about it when I first came in.

[And the Happy is out of the bag.]

[ HE DID. Color suddenly floods back into her face, bringing it toa lovely shade of salm--er, red. ]

A...ah.. um...I was..just saying it was easy to sleep with... [ If Erza was going to give her a hard time about sleeping with her partner she could at least pretend with a dragon plush? Erm. Maybe? ]

What part ... um... t...the face?

[She's floundering hard. Not the first time he sees her this flustered and while he tries to keep his mind focused on other things, his talk with Battler definitely left some marks on his mind and observational skills.]

The face you say?

[He manages to make himself sound genuinely interested while hoping she says more.]

[ In her rush to try and avoid the answer she actually ends up answering more than she intends to. ]

S.. sure! And.. and the eyes, they're just um... eyelike... [ Wait what? ]

I-I mean.. um. They're... they're determined, and gentle and.. well there's nothing stronger than a dragon right? When it comes to protecting what's important -- l-like treasure.

[ Augh can she trip over her words any harder. ]

[Honestly he'd like to keep her talking but he's not sure how long the spell of truth caused by his presence there will last. So instead he decides to hop in with a bit of commentary of his own.]

Hmmmm so wouldn't that make you the treasure for this dragon?

[Does he mean the toy or himself? She can choose. He's being unintentionally vague now.]

[ Lucy paused at the question, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye for a moment. Augh that vagueness. ]

I.. suppose so. After all there are tons of stories about dragons being fiercely protective of their treasures. And that little guy doesn't look any different. I'd feel sorry for anyone who tried to get between him and his treasure, actually. [ Eheh heh.. she studies the small dragon plush with her chin on her hands. ]

But I don't mind that...

[Completely innocent here. Okay maybe not completely but he's convincing!]

Hmmmm. That's quite the praise I'm sure this little guy is more than happy just to be hugged by you every day~
