[The feed kicks on to a little wolf girl in a spacious room decorated with hanging plants and flower-shaped lamps. Yep, she turned Fairy Haven's infirmary into a jungle.
She has with her a book, old looking, probably. Just as likely she dropped it. But more importantly, it's a book.
Of course, she gives it a puzzled look and puts it down. It's not important.]
Hello everyone, I am Tatlyn and I noticed some people are being sour dour Debbie downers or getting overly excited over this Fallen Pine's Day thing coming up, so I wanted to talk about it.
The grumps have a point and so do the lovey-dovies. I wanted to start with that. But nobody should be giving a lecture about who, what, where, when and why this day should be celebrated. We all come different worlds and cultures and we are entitled to celebrate them. And as long as we all share the same land under the same sky, that should be respected.
Fallen Pine's Day doesn't have to be all about love and romance and procreation, though. It's a feast as well. And there are many things to celebrate. Friends, family, food...
Anyways. So, Genessians all, talk to me. Tell me about what plans you have on the fourteenth. Or the sixth day of the seventh month, if you follow some other calendar. What about life or death will you celebrate and, if applicable, with whom?
Me, personally? I'm probably gonna go for a run around the woods and play my tin whistle for the guild.

[MORDECAI. MORD, SWEETIE GO TO BED.]
Re: video
[Not that she cares about the name, though.]
video;
[That was all she was going to do that day.]

Who died on that holiday...?
Re: video
[She picked up the book she had earlier. Yeah, that's what the book as about.]
I borrowed this book after the two grumps decided to grump all over the network to research these Saints mentioned. As a priestess myself, I'm somewhat obligated.
But listen, kid. If that wet blanket who thinks he's a cat even read the same book as this, he forgot to mention the part where this saint Valentine guy cured a girl of her blindness and rescued others from religious persecution.

[ It's been good lunch break entertainment, actually, better than cable TV. ]
We don't celebrate Valentine's Day in my world but I'm planning to show my partner my appreciation. Our jobs require us to prioritize work over pleasure, so having a set day for romance on our schedule is actually quite useful to us.
Thank you. I couldn't have said it better.
I am planning to go to this Amore Festival, but...it looks like I'll be going alone.
Re: video
Valentines day is a holiday based on state sanctioned murder!
It's obvious!
Re: video
There's a reason why children are sheltered from the darkness of truth, you know. They are meant to be innocent and enjoy childhood until they are old enough to be able to handle the truth and equipped with the knowledge on how to proceed knowing what they now know.
What were you trying to achieve, exactly, by completely drowning out the light of a life and a tradition that followed with the darkness of suffering and death?

You don't have to share, though, if it's a surprise.
Re: [Video]
Don't rule anything out.
Re: video;
What's a video game?
[She has a working theory just on the "game" alone.]
Really? Now there's a thought...
[An intriguing thought at that...]

Re: video;
So... A board game? Where does the "video" part come in?

I wouldn't call it amazing, but getting to spend time together outside of work is pleasant enough.
[ He falls silent for a moment. ]
Should I be doing something amazing? I don't exactly have experience planning romantic outings.
Re: locked
We're an all female race who revive refreshed upon natural death, so we have no use for mating rituals.
What you do for your mate is all up to you. You know them best, so you decide if they're the kind who appreciates being "wow'd" or "aww'd."
[Did she even make sense?]
Re: locked
I think I can figure that out, yes. He likes explosions.
[ Maybe not what she had in mind?
Wait.]
That aside, forgive me, but does that mean you are... immortal, of a sort?
Re: locked
[Explosions are a weird thing to like but... Is his mate another male? She supposes liking explosions make sense.]
Oh, yes. I'm immortal. We retain all knowledge and memories from our previous life. One could say death for us is just a normal night's sleep. I'm in my second life.

I have never heard of a species whose biology works quite like yours. It's fascinating.

And no, you may not disect me.
[She doesn't really expect anyone would want to do the science on her. She's only joking.]
no subject
I wouldn't... I'm not...! I would never!

Anyways, you seem to have it all figured out. Try not to worry so much that the day is more stressful than it should've been.

[ Sheesh, you never know in this place! It has all kinds of weird folks! ]
I think I'll just ask him what he wants to do.

Re: video
Fine, he was an absolutely wonderful, sinless, practically faultless man who performed fantastic miracles, totally undeserving of death!
Until the Romans killed him.
Brutally and without mercy.
[fixate much mord]
Does that make it better!?
Re: video
Yes, much better. You must fun at parties.
Re: video
... I don't believe this information would make any assembly more enjoyable.
Re: video
Given what this month means to the humans, this isn't the time to talk about merciless torture and beheadings. Save it for Everglade or the scary month. You'd make a great scary master of ceremonies.

[To her there is a difference at least.]
The video part is because you play it while staring at the screen. Basically, it's electronic.
