( Action | Finding Flowers )
Around --- Genessia & Fayren
[Basic concerns are secondary to the young Esper. She has a place to sleep and a small bit of money for food. For now, that's enough.
Her memories are more important to her and she's on a search to find them. Terra's quest takes her all over Genessia and into Fayren. Some locations feel familiar while others begin to ping hazy memories of her past.
Terra lingers at Genessia park where her bright gaze focuses on one particular tree. She remembers sitting there, with a basket of flowers, a man with long red hair spoke to her. Who is he? She tries to remember but the memory slips from her fingertips and fades.] I was here. [She is sure of it.
Her path cuts through the city, her eyes searching for something though she doesn't know what it is. The second time she stops is in Fayren. She's heading towards Fairy Tail. Magic. She feels it calling to her and yet, Terra doesn't make it to Fairy Tail. Her path diverges and she finds herself at the beach. The water looks to be frozen in places while the cold air bites into Terra's skin.]
I know this place...
Jardin Verdoyant --- Attleton
[There is one memory that Terra can't seem to shake. Flowers. She needs to find them, somewhere, anywhere...
The cold crisp chill to the air has chased away the brightly colored floral and so Terra's search has brought her to a small flower shop in Attleton. At first, Terra is drawn in by the sign outside the shop, decorated by a lovely rose, but then something else pulls at her-- something familiar. A bell chimes as she pushes open the door to the shop and steps inside.]
I know this place.
[Her fingers brush against the wooden frame of one of the displays as she makes her way towards the back of the shop.] Hello?
[Memories flash to the forefront of Terra's mind and she pauses. There's a man with a fedora, he's smoking and pulling out a jar?] There's a green house in the back. [She recalls as she turns towards the door that leads to the small open area with the green house.
Then another memory flashes to mind, this one darker, a man with red eyes. Terra cries out and grabs the sides of her head as the memory presses unpleasantly against her senses. When she opens her eyes her hands are shaking and her breath is heavy. She takes a moment to steady herself, noticing a second later that someone had come up behind her.]
Oh, excuse me. [Terra rises and turns.]

action!
when he noticed that someone was there, he went up to the water's surface, floating there and noticing that it was...
why, none other than terra! the prince waved at her from the ocean.]
I say, hello theeeere! Terra? Just what are you doing out here?!
action!
[Terra screams as a blurred shape emerges from the water in front of her. She isn't usually scared of the ocean but the last time something had popped out at her from a body of water it had been a tentacle monster that had wanted to pull her into the river.
A hand rose in front of her lips as her eyes focus on the familiar shape of the Zora Prince.] Prince Sidon!
Why are you? It's so cold.
no subject
[he gasped once he realized she had begun to scream. the prince swam over to the shore, exiting the ocean and coming up and on to the sand. he was dripping wet, obviously, but he didn't seem to pay any attention to that.]
Yes, yes it is. But us Zora can withstand wild temperatures indeed! I am fine, but I doubt a human would be.
[...] Terra, I am terribly sorry I scared you. [he even decided to kneel down to her level.]
Are you quite alright?
no subject
[She feels awful for worrying him.]
Please, I'm not scared of you Prince Sidon.
no subject
[the prince frowned at the thought. surely, if that had happened in his presence he would have attacked the beast. he had his trusted silver blade at his side at all times, after all.]
Even so, I apologize for startling you. Please- [he rose back up to his massive height.]
But I still must know, what are you doing out here?

[he calls back through the doors as he leaves the bakery. today was surprisingly dead at work considering the amount of buzz around Valentine's Day and the upcoming festival. having finished sorting through last week's paperwork and sorting the delivery forms out, barely anything happened that day. no doubt it was the calm before the storm, however. next week would be the true test and he had a feeling that people would come in droves over the weekend.
with work being so quiet, there wasn't any need for him to bring along any transport or ride out for deliveries just yet, and so the blond swordsman made his way back home. the crisp air doesn't deter him as he'd dealt with far colder climates back home. considering the amount of fighting he did last weekend in Fayren and what he'd endured last month?
no amount of cold was likely to bother him ever again.
it was too early to go back home, nor did he feel like holing himself up in the library again either. his fridge was stocked up and there was little to no reason to go elsewhere. but...maybe that was alright. for once, he felt he could actually take in his surroundings and go for a walk without being troubled by a future of uncertainty. to this day, he considered himself one of the lucky ones. enough time passed that Cloud didn't even realize that how far he'd gone again, this time just letting the realization sink in that this was his new home now.
if only for a little while. if time stood still? he had nothing to worry about anymore. and maybe...he was here for a reason. hopefully a better one than just being some kidnappee and-]
...?
["I was here."
the voice breaks through Cloud's train of thought as he turns to the sight of the young woman standing before a tree as her voice trails in recollection. he wasn't expecting many people to be here, but something about her stood out from the rest of the locals. yet he couldn't recall seeing her around here before.
it must have been when he either fell asleep or succumbed to the Ice Queen. he says nothing at first, only watching her from a distance as it's almost like she was lost. ...yet focused at the same time. when he realizes that he's been standing there perhaps a little too long, he calmly shakes his head before he starts walking again, down the path through the park, though he hasn't passed the young Esper by yet.]
action; genessia - sorry for my delay
Her hand rose to her chest, trying to reach out towards the feelings that the scene inspired.]
I was a flower girl.
[She spoke to herself, her eyes closing as the memory completely slips away. She gropes at the imagine again but it's gone, as if wiped from her memory. As her eyes opens she hears the soft echoes of footsteps behind her. She doesn't know if she's in the way or not but she steps forward and turns just before Cloud is about to pass her.]
Please excuse me...
[She pauses and stares at him. It's as if she knows him but doesn't at the same time. Why is that?]
action; genessia - how dare you
any other time, this would have been awkward. and yet...]
No, it's...
[... huh?]
Don't think I've seen you around here before. [Cloud wasn't an especial social butterfly by any means, but he'd been around long enough that he'd seen most the people here in Genessia City. the blond dispels any of those lingering thoughts, his gaze shifting to the tree behind her that she'd been observing] You just get here?
action; genessia - mow
[She replies, her gaze curious as her thoughts tumble and twist down confusing paths.
Terra is sure that she knows him but it's difficult to place where. She closes her eyes and sees a scene flash behind her eyelids. It's a festival and she's selling flowers. The stand is colored and decorated with little favors that matched the carnival and then there is this man. His hair and eyes stand out as he walks towards her. They're talking but Terra can't remember what is said. The memory is to hazy for her to place.
She opens her eyes and takes a step towards Cloud.]
I'm sorry but I feel like I know you.
action; genessia
before his own thoughts could delve deeper into the unknown, she'd already taken a step towards him. he doesn't back away from her, his vibrant mako-infused eyes watching her as he feels a strange tension make him feel stiff. but he does well to not show it on his face.
and then she says something that would have greatly left him dumbfounded if he himself had just arrived. but Ted had instilled the idea in his head about him being here once here. another version of him, with different memories...]
Sorry. [a beat] You must be thinking of an earlier version of me that was here.
[just then, he rubs the back of his head and finally breaks away from Terra's own eyes. the way he described it just now...]
I mean...if you met him. [again] Me. [he wasn't used to meeting people who knew him before, and he had no recollection of them in kind.]
Cloud Strife ring a bell?

Action; Fayren
Anyone who passes by in a almost dream-like daze was going to have the sounds of the forest very close behind, snapping twigs, rustling foliage, right up to the beach.
All though whatever it is isn't following now, it was definitely still watching from nearby.]
Action; Fayren
There is no harm in watching though Terra isn't sure why someone might be watching her.
Perhaps they remember her? She doesn't know who to ask or where to look for answers, and so, after a pause, she continues on her way, hoping the stranger shows themselves.]
Re: Action; Fayren
Of course, the sounds stop right where the forest ends and Fairy Tail begins. That looming presence persists though as the culprit stealthily comes out of hiding behind Terra. Such a bratty little girl with wolf ears and tail.]
Boo~
Action; Fayren
Excuse me, what are you doing out here?
[The ears are adorable and Terra finds herself instantly enamored with the little wolf. She's never seen anyone like this young girl before.] Do you live around here? [She is sure that someone had mentioned that people live at Fairy Tail as well as study there.]
Re: Action; Fayren
Oh well.]
I live around these parts, yes. Name's Tatlyn. I'm Fairy Tail's resident healer.
[She dips into a brief curtsy. She's a brat at times, but she gets polite too.]
Action; Fayren
attleton yo;
Hey. Green house is kinda off limits but if you don't see anything, let me know. [ Just answering calmly, like usual until there's a cry. That's when he moved over, frowning at her. Tilting his head and moving a tiny bit closer to make sure she's actually okay. ]
Oh. Terra, you okay? When'd you pop back in?
attleton yo; YAY!
She shakes her head and attempts to refocus.]
I'm alright. [She answers the easiest question first.] You know me?
I arrived a few weeks ago but the memories are unclear. They come in bits and pieces. [She presses her palm to her head as another scene is called to mind. There's a jar and Dave is in the memory.]
I know this store.

I was going to say "a you off a different timeline" but you're, uh, getting memories? So. That might not apply. I never had anyone poof and come back but only sorta-remember shit before on me. [ His hands slip out of his pockets, idly gesturing with them while he talks ] It's either they're the same one or the alternate version. I was expecting you to be like "I have no fucking idea where I am right now" all leaping into this pocket universe from the Terra dimension and viewing the world like a newborn chick that's ready to imprint lovingly on everyone because that's just how you do. But then instead you've got your past slipping into a full blown amnesia brain and we probably need to go to Paris to get your grandma now so you can remember your past as the lost dutchess Terrastasia.
[ pause. ] You owned the store. Then left. Now I own the store.
no subject
I do remember you. [It's like a switch flicking on in her head and Terra smiles.] You don't swear as much, do you? [She rests her hand over her heart and shakes her head.] I'm sorry. I was having memory problems in my world too and I think somehow they've followed me here.
[It doesn't make much sense to her.]
When I first arrived, all I could remember is flowers. I'm happy to see that this shop is still here.
[She is very grateful, even if bits and pieces of her memories are missing.]

Kept it going. It's still good. I haven't made any changes outside of upgrading some software. And plumbing in the back so the sprinklers work better. Your apartment got a little cleaned too. So uh. Sorry for touching your shit?
