[...hm, this is a good idea for a post. rukia has been here searching for others since she arrived, and she hasn't had much luck. however, she has been able to sense the reiatsu of certain individuals, and she will most likely be seeking them out soon enough. so it was time to broadcast a proper search party.]

Hello, people of Genessia. I have but one question for you all, have you seen anyone matching this description:



Since he is the most distinguishable, I'd like to draw your attention specifically to the one on the right. I can't seem to sense his reiatsu at all, so I doubt he's around, but it's good to ask if he had ever been here. Has an orange-haired man with a scary expression happened to have wandered through here? Or, if that's not the case, then has anyone else wearing a black shihakushou been spotted?

Shinigami. We act as balancers in the world I'm from, purifying souls and ones that have become corrupted as well.

{ A long pause. Would that...? No, likely not. Even if his soul could be 'purified,' it would do little to cause the overall problem with him. That'd still leave the fact that he's immortal and a walking wasteland. Still, maybe it wouldn't hurt to ask? }

How does that work? 'Purifying' souls?

[well, the process of purifying hollows isn't pretty.]

Depends. If they are a Plus, then we simply purify them by sending them to Soul Society and helping to balance out the number of souls in that world and the human world.

If they are a Hollow, then they are a corrupt soul without a heart. We purify them by killing them and sending their souls away like that.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with either of those terms. Are you saying that you can only purify ghosts?

Essentially yes, spirits are what we deal with. Since us shinigami are also comprised of spiritual power, we're like souls with a physical body.

Then your abilities wouldn't effect the living?

The kind of sending we do wouldn't have an affect on them. However we fight with blades and such, that would definitely hurt them, even if we can't exactly be seen either.

You are saying that you can't be seen by the living?

I know someone where that is usually the case, as well. It doesn't seem to be the case in in this world, however, as I can see her - and hear her - just fine, unlike in our own world.

That's not exactly true. 

I've known humans that could see me, but that's due to the fact that they had high spiritual energy. If you have that, then spirits are easy to see.

It used to be that only those who bore Fairy Tail's mark could see or hear Mavis. Now, everyone can.

Many people here don't seem to have much spiritual energy either. But, so far it seems that everyone can see me as well.

I wonder what sort of power is able to do all of this?

I don't know. Mavis insists that she isn't technically alive, and yet this is the closest I've seen to her having her own body in many years. Resurrecting the dead is possible in my world, but it is a very complicated, very dangerous, and very magic-exhaustive process.

Yes... only explanation is that it is the influence of this place. Maybe there is maybe here as well.

The spiritual pressure of people. If they have it, then someone like me will be able to sense them nearby.

Would a demon have this?

Yes... I would imagine so. If creatures like Hollows posses such a thing, then demons would as well.

Why are you asking this anyway?

Demons I am familiar with could be brought to this world.

And I'm guessing that's a problem, right?

They are fanatically loyal to me, yet they find any other human inherently inferior to them. And demons are naturally aggressive.
