Hi everyone~! It's your favorite chef Alice here! Valentine's Day passed and I should've done something before because it looked like there were a lot of disasters.

[ She looks sympathetic, bordering on pitying. Not that she did anything for Valentine's Day but sob and lay on the floor, but no one else really needs to know that. ]

Well, better late than never and this will help out any recipients who still have to return their gifts when White Day rolls around. I'm going to teach you all how to make Chocolate Truffles! They're delicious, easy to make, and it's okay if they look like weird lumps because they're modeled after the mushroom so you don't have to be an artisan to come up with something that isn't embarrassing to look at.

[ She proceeds to explain how to make truffles! It's actually a very simple process. You bring the cream to a boil, but only just, then pour it over finely chopped chocolate and let it sit. Do not stir it or anything, just let it sit for a while to let the chocolate melt into the cream. Add any flavor, like alcohol or extracts like mint or espresso extract now. Nuts go in at this time too. If you do it at any other time, the chocolate will seize or you'll break it up. After about a minute or so, you can use a spatula to gently mix it together until it's a nice smooth ganache. Cover it up, stick it in the fridge for 30 minutes, then take it out and roll about a teaspoon sized amount into a ball with your hands, then roll them in whatever you want on the outside. Alice's demonstration shows candied crushed almonds, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder as three options but you can really do whatever you'd like. ]

This way you can make delicious chocolate treats without having to learn more complicated things like the crystallization points of fat cells within the chocolate or how to temper. It's simple chocolate for simple folks. Oh- and don't forget! A lot of people are really dense and will panic if you're not romantically interested but wanted to give chocolate to a friend, so make sure-

[ She zooms in on a row of five truffles, then with a piping bag writes "OBLIGATION" on top of it. ]

You label them for the friend zone. Byebye!

[well then. that solved Cloud's problem of finding a proper day to repay people from Valentine's Day. he nods at the end of Alice's explanation]

I see.

Thanks for the tip. I work at Cake Town, so maybe I could try...

[least he has easy access to all the right ingredients]
