[Action] ~ Practicing Magic

It had taken her awhile to find the perfect place but she soon found a corner of the city where no one was around. She prefered somewhere far away from the residence of the city to practice.

She started by focusing the dark spell and casting it to hover around her. Three dark spheres of matter orbit around her as she focused. Ultima. Her focus faltered and the spheres shrink before slamming into the ground at her feet.

As the dust settles she carefully rose from the ruins. Terra managed to keep the explosion small but she knew some people would come running after seeing the plume of dust. It wasn't so bad. Only the ground was destroyed.

She brushed herself off trying to figure out what to do next.

It involves a lot of focus. The magic comes from me, like my spirit and I am able to give it a physical form.

[Terra isn't sure how to describe it. It's something she was born with.]

[That's interesting. it's like his magic comes from the blue in his eyes, it's a part of him. So he had to wonder if the same could be said for her too.]

So it's a part of who you are, that's interesting.

Yes. Though I am not sure why yet but I think I will find out soon.

[He gives his usual small but faked smile, thankfully people usually don't figure the last part out and he was very thankful for that.]

[Terra gives him a slight bow.]

[From what he recalled anyway.]

[She shakes her head.]

Well why wouldn't I?

[He thought he was just being friendly at least.]

[She feels her cheeks twitch a little.] There are a lot who didn't. [Her expression remains soft but it looks like she is watching something from far away.]

[He does take a little notice of that as he turns his head to see what was behind him before looking back.]

Is there something behind me?

Oh no. I'm sorry.

[Even frantic Terra's voice is soft and sweet.]

I was just thinking.

[He smiled, he was going to pry into what she was thinking about exactly.]

That's fine, people think after all. It's normal.

[She looks back around at her destruction.]

I have a lot on my mind.

[he knew he shouldn't get too into it so he didn't ask or say anything more about it and instead chooses to change the subject.]

So what will you be doing next?

[greenmagick]

I need my practice focusing. I'm thinking maybe there are other ways to practice.

[She doesn't think exploding things is the best idea.]

I believe there can be. After all with what I had to do focusing was a part of it. But focus really is all about the mind when you get down to it.

[Don't really need to physically do anything, he thinks. He can't say for certain however.]

What do you suggest?

[Terra looks at him curiously. She would love a way to practice that doesn't involve exploding things.]

What would I? [He is wondering if she wants options or not, but that makes it seem like it would fall into the teaching category and he wasn't sure that he could do something like that.]

I guess I can ask if you know any other spells that aren't attack magic first? Like defence? I do apologize if I'm not being helpful, I'm not exactly the best when it comes to teaching.

I'm afraid that those spells aren't on the same level as this one. They are a lot easier to cast.

[The thought of using something less destructive makes Terra think.]

But in this case, they help focus. I mean with a shield spell one must focus won how big it needs to be and at the same time where it needs to go.

[Terra thinks it over carefully.]

That makes sense. I think... I think I will try it.

[He gives a smile.]

Excellent. I thunk you'll learn how to focus more from it, but I have to head off. I have things I need to do.
