[Action] ~ Practicing Magic

It had taken her awhile to find the perfect place but she soon found a corner of the city where no one was around. She prefered somewhere far away from the residence of the city to practice.

She started by focusing the dark spell and casting it to hover around her. Three dark spheres of matter orbit around her as she focused. Ultima. Her focus faltered and the spheres shrink before slamming into the ground at her feet.

As the dust settles she carefully rose from the ruins. Terra managed to keep the explosion small but she knew some people would come running after seeing the plume of dust. It wasn't so bad. Only the ground was destroyed.

She brushed herself off trying to figure out what to do next.

I don't need it either. However, it's still nice to be given the Hero's welcome after returning home from a long campaign. You'll enjoy yourself, have a little fun...

[An almost sadistic grin curls his lips as he leans in, the tone of his voice changing to a teasing one.]

I could arrange it so that General Leo would be sitting at your right hand~

[Terra doesn't expect the taunt and her cool expression falters.]

I don't need... I mean... [She remembers his face at the mention of his name.]

[Kefka giggles and floats off a bit, almost challenging Terra to pursue.]

Oh, I've seen how you look at him. Believe me, I know the look of someone with a crush rather intimately. I've had a few myself, after all.

[He puts a hand to the side of his mouth, mocking a whisper.]

He's expressed an interest to get to know you better as well, you know~

[Dismay fills Terra's face. As she watches Kefka float away.]

Hey! You shouldn't say things like that. [Terra feels her words jump out of her mouth before she has time to think. She isn't even she why this would bother her so much.

She closes her eyes and looks at the ground trying to think of anything else.]

You worry too much~! I'm sure it'll all work out just fine. Just be yourself and there won't be anything to worry about!

[This is just too rich. He can't help but have to fight back the sadistic giggles welling up inside him.]

Nothing to worry about? But we can't even get home.

[Terra is still trying not to think about it.]

You just leave that to me. A simple matter of finding the dimensional resonance, really. Time consuming, yes, but not impossible.

Trust me, Terra. We'll be home before you know it.

Okay. [Terra looks back at the hole at her feet. She should keep practicing but she isn't sure she can focus.]
