001 - [Video]
[The camera flips on to a face of what looks to be a bedouin with his eyes ringed in coal and the way he's covered from head to toe. As he looks at the device, he removes the cloth covering his face, and behind it is the scarred face of someone who couldn't be any older then twenty-one, but despite the scars, his features haven't lost any appeal. It's almost unnaturally handsome with strong features to it. The only thing that gives away that this man isn't from the desert is his bright blue eyes which aren't common in that part of the world.]
It seems my dress is no longer appropriate for this climate. You'll have to all forgive me while I adjust. It's been a long time since I was last in a city, and this one seems to hold quite a few differences from the ones I'm familiar with.
[At least from his reaction, he saw the hologram.]
I wish I could say this was the first I've been sent to another realm, however it's not, though this place seems far more pleasant then the other realms I've been in previously. Still, I suspect there is likely a catch as there always seems to be at least one in such places. I would appreciate anyone that would be kind enough to fill me in.
[His speech has been almost formal as if it had been drilled into him so hard that he didn't even notice it himself.]

Re: [video]
[He paused for a long moment before he answered that next question.]
Originally? Greece.
[Yeah, he certainly didn't look like he was from Greece in his current get-up. Should see him without it.]
Re: [video]
She does seem to light up a little more at his answer.]
Greece? Really? Earth?
[He... definitely doesn't, but then, she would know a thing or two about concealment. At least, for now.]
I've actually been there quite often.
Re: [video]
[Somebody is speaking from experience.]
Yes, Greece. On Earth. I take it you're not from there.
[He was keeping face and not really showing the thoughts running through his head, but she'd made it pretty obvious with that comment.]
Re: [video]
He does give her pause, though, when he counters her, and there's an almost flicker in that perfect brow of hers.]
Greece? ...No, I'm afraid not.
[Another flicker of something, then,]
New York City, though I'd hardly consider myself an American.
[It's...not entirely a lie...]
Re: [video]

Originally? ...
[Hm.]
I'm Dove, by the way.
no subject
Yes, originally.
I'm Styxx.
[Don't think that deterred him from the question.]
I'm giggling so hard at this.
...Not from Earth, no, [she admits.]
Styx like the band? or the river?
[Maybe her amusement is distracting her from the anxiety of having just arrived. Either way, she's enjoying it.]
Glad you're enjoying it. Styxx is slowly starting to come around.
Which means you're from where?
The River. [You can tell how much he was loved by his parents based on the name alone.]
no subject
Would you believe me if I told you I fell from heaven?
[...okay, so that one isn't entirely true. She never fully fell.
Besides, he doesn't have to know that she can actually come and go as she pleases, right?]
Ah. Edgy.
[That...might be an internal grimace. Maybe it's best to move on.]
Are you in the main city? I'd say it's nice to meet you, but meeting through a video doesn't really count in the end, does it?
no subject
Maybe.
[ That was not an unsure maybe. That was an I'm not sure about answering maybe. Though he only just showed up, so he no doubt was, and was also an answer to her first question as well.]
no subject
There's something a lot more sheepish now in the way she pushes her hair back from her face.]
Well... if you wanted to meet up, I'm new too. Obviously. The city isn't too bad so far.
no subject
I've learned in life that if it seems too good to be true, it just might be, so I'm holding judgement on the place.
[But at least his brother wasn't here to torment him.]
If you just want company, I can give you that much.
[After all, he knew what it was like to be completely alone.]
no subject
Yeah, I get that. ...It really is too soon to tell, I guess.
[The lighting changes a little as she opens the door to head out.]
Sit tight, and I'll come find you. Where are you?
no subject
[He was mostly indulging her about this meet up thing.]
no subject
It doesn't take her long to find him, but she's still cautious in her approach. Her wings are hidden, and she looks mostly human aside from the almost too nice appearance, but... there's something different about him that she's almost wary of. Despite her hints at being supernatural, she's still not sure how to dive into that.
Nevertheless, she meets him with a smile.]
Whoa... You're a lot taller than you look on-screen.
Good move with that tall comment lol
Yeah, I know.
[He actually smiles back. It's not big, but it's obviously at least genuine from the looks of it.]
I try!
Guessing you hear that one a lot.
[Sure, it's introductory smalltalk, but it does give her time to feel him out a bit. Odd...]
So...Greece?
[She's curious about his attire.]
Re: I try!
[Meaning a lot indeed.]
Yes, Greece. It was a long time ago that I last lived there though.
[A part of Greece that didn't exist anymore, but Greece all the same.]
no subject
.....How long ago?
[If he can ask skeptical questions, she can too, right?]
no subject
[He's lying, but his answer is so sure of itself you can't really tell. He's gotten very good at telling lies in his long life.]
no subject
Hundreds... thousands of years? [she shrugs, tone borderline playful.
....he doesn't really feel all that human. Could just be the crazy height and the concealing clothes, though-.]
no subject
Her question does get an amused chuckle out of him though.]
People don't live hundreds or thousands of years.
[Another lie of course.]
no subject
[Shes almost close to laughing, but there's an unnatural brightness to her gaze as she studies him a little closer. Those honey-amber eyes almost look pure gold for a few seconds.]
Some souls can handle it.
[It's a lighthearted comment, but... even though she's unsure of whether or not he's telling the truth, it's worth it to her to keep edging along. For now, though...]
Anyway. [She shakes her head, letting the subtle glow fade from her eyes.] So you just got here.
no subject
Immediately he frowned and narrowed his eyes on her, but managed to stand his ground. He had been a soldier, and had led armies to victory, and that was the part of him showing now to her.]
You're more then you seem.
[He didn't have a sense for such people, so he hadn't been able to tell initially and he'd been trying to tune out the chatter in his head.]
He can jump in and hear her thoughts at this point, but it might be fuzzy since guard is going up
