Okay... I think I have this sorted so a certain someone can't hear this. But I need to ask for a tiny bit of help before the 14th rolls around. Just a case of tips and advice about cooking. I must admit I can do basic stuff but uh... What I have planned is a lot more than I would normally do, so tips and advice will benefit me greatly.

Also... any advice to not feel nervous would be a plus.

[Because even though it's a week away, it's slowly starting to make him more and more nervous.]

I am. [A nod, and she seemed neither happy nor unhappy at the thought.] My schedule’s surprisingly consistent when it comes to the days I’m here. But I only have to stay until about one o’clock. Maybe two, if things pick up.

[And she was right. This was about White Day. Which made sense to her; she’d given him chocolates, so it was tradition that dictated he would have something for her in return.]

That sounds like fun. I’d love to.

Did you have anywhere in particular in mind?

I do, but... I kind of want the where to be a surprise.

[Which was true for the most part. Though he was wondering if she might think there was a reason why, so he was quick to add on.]

I thought it would be nice to make it that way.

[Of course there was a reason why. Hadn’t Takeru himself said he did the things he did for a specific reason? The trouble came when she attempted to guess said reason.]

You’re up to something again, aren’t you?

[Rather than suspicion this time, she giggled lightly. This was meant to me a White Day present, so whatever it was, she trusted it would be more welcome than that Horror Movie.]

Do I get a hint? Or am I supposed to guess blind?

Nothing bad, I promise.

[He smiled slightly, trying to figure out if he should really give anything away or not. She was smart so if his hint was too obvious he was sure she would figure it out. But his mind was also sure it would be fun to watch her figure it out without any hints. It was a tough choice really.]

I don't know... I mean won't it be more fun going in blind? [Maybe for him it might.]

[It didn’t come out in her usual exhaspersted tone, though. And when she tried to scrunch her nose, the expression lasted less than a second before she was smiling again. Clearly amused.]

See, now you’re going to have me wondering the rest of the day and I’m going to be distracted from work.

[Like there was anything else for her to do right now.]

And that's what makes it fun.

Though, I guess I might be nice and give one tiny little hint. Might being the word. That's if you want it.

[She looked like she was pondering over it for a moment. A “hint” could have been almost everything, but the one think Hikari was certain it wouldn’t be was a total giveaway.]

[Still...he seemed pretty pleased with himself, and since alll this was technically for her, she decided to go along with the game. Nodding once before readjusting herself and the communicator so she could press both palms together in a “pleading” manner.]

Since you are asking so nicely. Here's one hint:

[Was it going to be useful? It was Takeru, he wasn't going to make it obvious.]

There is more than one part. [That really wasn't the most helpful of hints, but it was the best one he could think of without giving too much away.]

More than one...

[She sat back in her seat, eyes turning upward in thought. As far as clues went, it was...interesting. She still had no idea what it could be, but there were at least several possibilities depending upon what more than one part.]

Hmm.

[A movie had more than one part? No, they already did that. Chocolates had more than one part...but wouldn’t they be too expected for all this mystery? Takeru might have been a lot of things, but anticlimactic was not one of them. Maybe he meant he was going to take her to more than one place? A walk around the city. That could be nice.]

I’m...not entirely sure.

[Which, in his defense, was the whole point of it being a surprise.]

It gives you plenty of time to think it over.

[Considering it was around a week away.]

But I... hope it's something you'll like. If, not I'm going to be more disappointed in myself.

[She paused long enough in her musings to look back at him, eyes softening at his latter statement.]

Takeru, you could never be a disappointment.

I promise. Whatever you've got planned, I'll love it. Because it's coming from you.

[He gives off his usual grin.]

[She gave a light giggle at that. Too amused to feel any urge to blush.]

[He couldn't help but give off a light chuckle.]

Touche, Hikari. But I am at least aware of it.

You said that you do the things you do for a reason, right? That goes for the things you say. And who you say them to.

I did tell you that. But who knows if that is the same for my words, though.

[Because it worried him that what he says might get her to figure it out.]

[She said, with her usual Hikari level of confidence. Not that she though every word of his carried a specific meaning or purpose—she would never put that much pressure on him. It was certain moments she thought of first. Situations.]

But only when you want them to mean something. Or you’re looking for a specific reaction.

Which you always seem to get, I’ve noticed.

[Takeru smiled slightly a reaction really always was something he got.]

What can I say, I am very good at getting reactions.

[He couldn't help but chuckle slightly.]

But you are right again at least.

Because you know how to read people. Better than anyone I know.

[And, yes, modesty included herself in that statement, regardless of how true it may or may not have been.]

Sometimes, it’s like you know them better than they know themselves. So you’ll know how they’ll react even before they do.

Maybe I have magical abilities that help.

[He was joking, obviously.]

But then again if I did have that as a magical ability, I would be using them for evil so... that's not a good thing. [Or in better terms trolling purposes much like he does now.]

I know some might argue, but it's only a bit of light teasing.
