[When the video turns on, Styxx doesn't even seem to realize it is on as he sets it down and grabs a seat in what looks to be a park. He's gotten a wardrobe change, having acquired himself a t-shirt and jeans and removed the coal around his eyes. Now he looks a little more normal, and anyone who saw him before will see that he has cropped blond hair. Certainly not a bedouin. He has a sketchbook on his lap and manages to jam a pencil into a hand that obviously doesn't work nearly as well as it should. A sign of previously broken bones that weren't set right.

On the other side of him is a Ponyta, a Noibat is flying over his head, some of what's left of the pokemon he'd been allowed to keep, and there's something else picking up his phone and playing with it though it doesn't come in view of the camera, you can still see the video moving around.

Styxx glances up from whatever he's sketching and honestly laughs.]

Hey now, don't go playing with that. Give it here.

[At least he seems in fairly good spirits for now as he reaches for his phone. Only then did he realize it was on and frown.]

My apologies to everyone. I was unaware that it was on.

[With that, he ends the feed.]


[Action]
[Outside of the feed, anyone wandering by will see that what grabbed his phone was a Pansear. Once the phone was off, Styxx carefully put it away, making sure it didn't turn on again and glances at the Pansear.]

You're going to cause all kinds of trouble, aren't you?

[He doesn't look or sound angry, if anything he just seems amused with the Pansear. He was much better with animals as his companions then people. He always had been, and these pokemon received no different a reaction from him, though he had caught on that they were much smarter then normal animals.

Once he convinces the Pansear to settle down with the others, he goes back to sketching in his book, not once glancing up. He didn't need to for what he was drawing. All he needed was his memories.]

[There's a rustle from one of the trees near by and a frog looking creature leaps down. It looks somewhat amused as it turns around, looking expectantly up at the tree. After a moment, Ash jumps down as well. then flops on the ground with a laugh.]

I almost caught up that time!

[The frog pokemon nods and then points over towards Styxx and the other pokemon. Ash sits up and grins.]

Oh! Hey, you have a Noibat too?!

[The rustling alone is enough to make Styxx look up from his drawing on alert only to see....a pokemon and....just a kid. That instantly made him relax again though he closed the sketchbook that was on his lap, hiding its contents before smiling at the kid.]

Yes, I do.

[The Noibat actually comes over and starts flying around Ash and his pokemon as if greeting them while the Pansear climbs up on Styxx's shoulder to try and get a better view first.]

I see you have some of these creatures as well. They're called pokemon, correct?

[He's not used to such things in his world.]

[Ash's grin widens and he holds his hand out for the little Noibat to sniff. Greninja waves at Pansear and gives a nod towards the Ponyta.]

Yeap! There's a lot around here, but I guess most people don't know them. They're all over the place in my world!

[He gestures to Greninja.]

This is my buddy, Greninja. I had a Noibat too, but heh, he's kinda a lot bigger now since he evolved.

[The Noibat comes in and does so before landing on Ash's hand. The Pansear on the other hand seems to be just watching from Styxx's shoulder while the Ponyta nickered at the newcomers.]

Evolved? You'll have to forgive me, I didn't really get a lot of information on them before I received them. I enjoy their company though.

[It was nice seeing such energetic kid. He reminded him of Nick a little bit actually.]

Since they're from your world, maybe you'd like to tell me about them.

[He was truly curious, but he got the impression the kid would enjoy telling too.]

[He carefully strokes under the Noibat's chin, smiling softly before looking up at Styxx.]

Yeah, they can change form. Noibat and your Ponyta will change when they get strong enough, but your Pansear needs uhm...a firestone? I think. Yeah! We just call it evolving.

Greninja's done it twice! It let's him get really strong.

[Ash is pretty much cuddling the Noibat at this point, shuffling to sit down on the ground.]

Well, there's a lot. Professor Sycamore could tell you a whole lot more than I can, but these guys'll be the best friends you can ask for. Heh, right Noibat?

[The Noibat is perfectly happy to cuddle up with Ash. If anything, it seems to enjoy the attention and seems to answer his question happily.

Styxx can't help but chuckle at the sight.]

Well, even a little information is better then no information. I might see about asking Professor Sycamore later. In the meantime, it seems he likes you. You must be good with them.

[He smiles and keeps scratching it carefully.]

Mmhm, he's great! But what can I say oh! Well there's types. Water type and grass. Noibat is a flying type, but when it evolves, it'll have two types! Dragon and fyling.

[He gestures to Greninja.]

Greninja's a water type, so most of his moves are water based. Watch, Greninja can you use Water Shurikan?

[The pokemon nods, forming two shurikans in his hand. Made entirely of water, and throwing them with great accuracy as a tree. No damage since it wasn't really for attacking.]

I'm guessing that Ponyta and Pansear are both fire types, right?

[It was sort of obvious, though it was an interesting concept that he could at least pet the Ponyta and not be burnt by it.]

Yeap! Sometimes it's kinda easy to tell, but some pokemon can be tricky!

[Like his Charizard. Looked like a dragon-type but wasn't.]

They can do two types of attacks. Uhm, Brock said there's regular attack and special attack. I don't really know the difference but when it gets down to it, you'll be able to tell what attacks your pokemon can be really good at!

[Her pokemon, particularly her houndour and eevee, seem bent on keeping her out of her apartment, and have taken a definite liking to the park nearby. It's not at all surprising that she happens to walk by. Dove pauses as she looks away from the swablu flying over her head and notices a familiar aura. Ah... should she approach?

What might be surprising is a sudden eevee jumping up onto the bench next to him with a cheerful yip of greeting once it realizes it's owners vague familiarity. She's made the decision for the angel!

The houndour stays right at the angel's side, giving the eevee a frustrated warning bark before Dove can even apologize. She's quick to come over now, and picks the undersized eevee up to keep it from pawing at his drawing.]

I think that's all they're good for, [she responds, knowing full well it hadn't been spoken to her.] Sorry about that...

[The sound of the Eevee approaching was enough to make him glance at it and he couldn't help but smile at it, showing that where animals were concerned at the very least, he rather liked them. He seemed relaxed until he heard something more then a mere animal coming and got to his feet, his sketchbook in his hand. He wasn't much for sitting there and continuing to draw in front of others. He was too much in a habit of being on a constant guard for that, but he didn't seem to mind that Dove had shown up either.]

It's alright. Sometimes it does seem to be true.

[Theres a quick smile at the upswing in his mood. At least Lovey has accomplished that much. She notes the sketchbook in hand, but is more focused on the fact that he's not entirely wrapped up in cloth. Now that she can see him properly, she has to admit....it's a pretty nice view. She doesn't dwell on it long in those few seconds though. She's more interested in the scars, but won't ask so forwardly. Yet.]

I see you've adopted, too [she says, nodding toward his Pokémon while her own listen in. Lovey is content to be held against Dove's shoulder, though she's squirmed enough to be able to watch the others. The swablu is now very clearly curious in the noibat, and...

Well. Ace is standing at Dove's feet, and begins growling lowly at the man. Now that Styxx is standing, he looks... a lot more threatening...]

[He nodded at the comment.]

They're good company.

[Styxx doesn't seem concerned by the houndour's growling, and actually kneels its level to make himself look a little less intimidating. He'd always been good with animals, and it showed as he held his hand out in a non-threatening way, but didn't approach, letting the houndour have its space and waiting for it to make all the moves.]

Hey, it's alright. I'm not going to hurt any of you.

[Meanwhile, the Noibat was going to check out Dove's swablu and actually seems excited by it.]

Noi! Noi!

[It was trying to tell the swablue that it was okay, and the Pansear clung to Styxx's shoulder, watching the houndour curiously while Styxx waited patiently.]

[She almost rolls her eyes at the houndour's growling, but then he's kneeling and handling it himself. He's obviously used to animals, and she's not picking up on any fear from him...

She gives the fire type a stern look anyway, but it doesn't take its eyes off of Styxx. Ace does, however, appraise the man in silence and takes a seat at Dove's heels. He'll allow it, but he's still watching.]

Sorry... [Dove apologizes with an embarrassed half smile, pushing her hair back from her face.] He's really sweet when he's not...being overprotective. ...Little punk.[The houndour huffs at her fond tease, but still keeps his attention trained on Styxx and the Pansear. ] I don't think he realizes how well I can take care of myself...

[The swablu is thrilled and lets loose a happy trill as it flies in circles around the Noibat. The eevee, meanwhile, just watches the two swoop about while her person talks, then starts wriggling again, determined to get to Styxx somehow.]

[Styxx chuckled.]

It's alright. It just means he's doing his job.

[He wouldn't force the houndour, but when the Eevee started trying to get his attention again, Styxx immediately went back to giving it attention. Nice to know at least one of them liked him.]

[Getting his attention just means more excited, super fluffy tail wags... to the point where Dove just offers to hand the tiny eevee over to him.] True... Loyalty goes a long way, I guess.

Did you have pets back home? [Lovey seems to...really like him...]

A dog, a camel and a horse. Though the camel and horse were more for transportation through the desert. The dog just followed me one day and I just kept him around after that. They're all good company.
