[When the video turns on, Styxx doesn't even seem to realize it is on as he sets it down and grabs a seat in what looks to be a park. He's gotten a wardrobe change, having acquired himself a t-shirt and jeans and removed the coal around his eyes. Now he looks a little more normal, and anyone who saw him before will see that he has cropped blond hair. Certainly not a bedouin. He has a sketchbook on his lap and manages to jam a pencil into a hand that obviously doesn't work nearly as well as it should. A sign of previously broken bones that weren't set right.
On the other side of him is a Ponyta, a Noibat is flying over his head, some of what's left of the pokemon he'd been allowed to keep, and there's something else picking up his phone and playing with it though it doesn't come in view of the camera, you can still see the video moving around.
Styxx glances up from whatever he's sketching and honestly laughs.]
Hey now, don't go playing with that. Give it here.
[At least he seems in fairly good spirits for now as he reaches for his phone. Only then did he realize it was on and frown.]
My apologies to everyone. I was unaware that it was on.
[With that, he ends the feed.]
[Action]
[Outside of the feed, anyone wandering by will see that what grabbed his phone was a Pansear. Once the phone was off, Styxx carefully put it away, making sure it didn't turn on again and glances at the Pansear.]
You're going to cause all kinds of trouble, aren't you?
[He doesn't look or sound angry, if anything he just seems amused with the Pansear. He was much better with animals as his companions then people. He always had been, and these pokemon received no different a reaction from him, though he had caught on that they were much smarter then normal animals.
Once he convinces the Pansear to settle down with the others, he goes back to sketching in his book, not once glancing up. He didn't need to for what he was drawing. All he needed was his memories.]

Do you mind if I ask how it was your fault? Please don't feel obligated to answer though.

Besides, she's pestered him enough to find out his wife was murdered. The least she can do is give a little honesty back.]
I shouldn't have fallen for a demon, and I certainly shouldn't have stayed with him.
[And because she did, her family is gone, she's Archangel to a people that aren't all entirely on board, and she's not sure she ever wants to be truly vulnerable again. Little things, really. Trivial to who she's supposed to be now.]
no subject
[He hadn't specifically had any run-ins with demons himself but he knew about them at least.]

I'm an angel, Styxx. It's really hard to coerce us with Gifts or Talents.
[She shakes her head.] He really did love me. I could feel it in him, but it just made it even more confusing. I still should have walked away.
no subject
[Just let him point that out.]
no subject
True, but... he wouldn't have...
[Would Damien have tried hard enough to be successful without her noticing? ]
no subject
[Something he'd gathered from the way she'd said that as well as her own thought.]
no subject
He certainly seems rather sure of himself.]
...maybe.
no subject
Would it explain any inconsistencies that might have occurred?
no subject
He didn't mind trick me. Not by supernatural means. [Not... really.
...why is she even defending him? Especially now, years later when it didn't matter and she's not even sure he's still alive.]
no subject
[Styxx wasn't going to argue it with her. He hadn't been there, so he wouldn't know.]
no subject
It doesn't matter now, anyway. Not here.
[There was no Damien in this world, and no Council to remind her of her mistakes. Just scars she didn't really think she'd ever have to show anyone.
Easy to hide away in a new world.]
no subject
[Yeah, he felt it was better to back off here with where her mind was going.]
no subject
She's almost hesitant now, and her guard goes up, Light shuttering away her thoughts and emotions.]
You'd be here all day, and no poor soul deserves that, [she tells him, pushing herself to her feet and dusting off her jeans.] and I've taken up too much of your time as it is...
no subject
It's not as if I don't have the time anyway.
[Being immortal gave you nothing but time.]
no subject
Fair enough...There is an abundance of it here, compared to home.
