1st Rise of the Phoenix ஜ Video
[When he wakes up, he still believes he's in Nautilus. The last he remembers is going to sleep with Leanne like usual, did something happen? Another storm? Something worse? He can't remember anything else but there must have been something since not only he wakes up in a place he doesn't recognize but he is also wearing his armour.
It's not until he finds the hologram that he understands what has happened, and those sensible to Cosmo, ki or similar energies will most likely feel a huge burst of energy as Ikki's Cosmo rages. To his credit he doesn't damage anything in the area. But it takes everything he has to not do so. Kidnapped again, this time more blatantly and without made up excuses about there having been a call. It was bad the first time, but this time is even worse. Apparently he's not allowed to continue fighting to save Athena and Seiya, nor he's allowed to have a family and a "normal" life.
He makes his way out, with his Phoenix Cloth on and carrying its Pandora box on his back. He doesn't bother to try to use his Cosmo to reach anyone for he doubts that whoever is responsible of this would be so kind as to let him reunite with anyone he knows and cares about. It's not until he reaches the beach that a thought occurs to him which leads him to strip down his armour and shirt, so he can check his right shoulder and confirm that the tattoo that Ace made for him is still there. A red spade (from the cards) surrounded by two flaming wings, one blue, the other orange, and with what seems like a white crescent moon crossing over it, the only thing he has, aside from his memories, to remember his time in Nautilus. It brings some relief to his heart, but it does nothing to calm his temper, so he goes on to strech his joints and muscles, giving anyone watching the video a nice show without realizing it. It's not the coliseum he's used to, but the beach seems like a good enough place to do some improvised training.
It should help to release his anger.]

That was about a week ago now, I guess. You two good friends?
*Cause she is getting a very different vibe from this guy*
[Video]
[Not the way he knows his brothers or other Gold Saints.]
He was the teacher of one of my brothers, Shiryu, as well as a comrade in the war, that's how I know him.
[If it was a week ago then chances are he still is around. Though Ikki knows that in those worlds it's hard to say, some people come and leave in a matter of seconds.]
... Have you been here for a long time?
*She can't quite imagine that this guy is much in the way of a gooď drinking buddy for Dohko*
A whole year...
*She states it simply, not even sure herself how she feels about that*
[Video]
A year.
[That's not much, not as much as he has heard from others in Nautilus. But he knows that for some even a single year may be much.]
And what is your opinion of this place? If you don't mind me asking.
It's not bad. But I guess that depends on what you might have left behind. If you loved your life before, there's probably not much for you here. But if there was shit you wanted to get awag from, well, this place is a reasonable escape.
[Doesn't really surprise him. In retrospect a world where people can bend reality by the strength of their will isn't one that will lead to people managing to organize themselves properly.]
But experience tells me there's always more than what the "newbie guide" says, probably to not traumatize the new arrivals. Would it be too much to ask you if you had any advice?
*She smiles at that cause she is only joking - and she has only known the two of them after all*
Advice? Get a job and find somewhere to live. Or find someone sweet enough to take you in to their expensive penthouse. And... and don't worry about what you've left behind because there's nothing you can do about while you're here...
[Unfortunately the joke mostly flies over his head, though he seems amused by her comment.
The part of the advice gets his attention though.]
A job... So it's indeed true that there is a currency in the place, that's good to know.
[The last part makes him frown a bit before he allows a small sad smile.]
That's... That's really good advice, miss... Sorry, I haven't caught your name. Mine is Phoenix Ikki, just Ikki if you want.
*Faye shakes her head in sympathy for a moment*
There is a currency, and you've got to earn your keep to get more of it. Or, ya know, gamble what you've got.
*Good advice? Faye? Excuse her if she looks very pleased with herself for a moment*
Faye Valentine. And please, just call me Faye.
[A pause.]
Not that fighting back is much of an option either in most cases.
[He hums at the gambling comment.]
I'm not one to gamble with money, if I'm going to do a gamble I would rather it be for bigger things. Besides, I don't trust my luck.
[Specially after being taken to two worlds, that speaks of terribly luck all around.]
Nice to meet you, Faye. As nice as it can be while being in this place, of course.
*But she shrugs as she lights up a cigarette - she doesn't know much about moving worlds, especially more than one*
You don't trust your luck?
*She laughs, openly amused*
Then maybe gambling isn't the best idea in the world for you, sweetie.
*She pauses with the cigarette, almost a little confused about his comment - she wasn't used to such manners*
Oh! Right! Then I guess it's nice to meet you too?
*At least she is making an effort to be polite*
[Video]
[He had a job and a home back in Nautilus, though the job was mostly to fill time and don't feel like a burden given that there was no money. Fortunately it also helps now to accepting this new world and the idea of getting a job.]
Would you trust your luck after being kidnapped to other worlds twice? But yes, I'll leave gambling to the professionals. Or at least to those who can win from time to time.
[Ikki's actually not one to be polite, he can be quite rude more often than not... But sometimes he manages to have manners, specially after being influenced by Ace. So he nods, slightly bowing at Faye.]
Thank you for your advice and for answering my questions.
*Faye just grins at his gambling comment and takes a slow drag of her cigarette*
That's a wise idea.
*She nods, again with that curious glint in her eye because she isn't used to people speaking with her so nicely. It makes a pleasant change*
You're very welcome, mister.
[He knows in his world they are usually daily, but he's not sure if in this world there's enough going to do a daily edition.
He coughs in surprise and shifts uncomfortably, suddenly as if very self-aware, when she calls him mister.]
That's... Ehm... Please, don't call me "mister". That doesn't fit me.
[He frowns and looks away, counting his blessings he supposes he should be glad it was just "mister" and not "sir" or "my lord" like Leanne used to.]
*She grins as she watches him in his discomfort and blows out a soft stream of smoke*
Alright, no mister for you. If you wanna be just 'Ikki' then just 'Ikki' is good with me.
*Besides, so far he's been really polite to her and she'd like to keep things that way*
[Video]
[Which reminds him...]
By the way... Are there "strange phenomenons" on this world?
[He's grateful that she grants his request, one of the last times anyone called him anything like that it was Leanne and it wasn't easy to get her to not call him like that.]
Thank you, Faye.
*Which is rich coming from Faye, who trusts pretty much no one...*
Weird stuff happening you mean? Like... split personalities and people waking up with wings and scales? That kinda shit happens every now and then. It's a pain in the ass but nothing that people can't cope with. Kinda. You'll be fine.
*Faye nods and smiles lightly, shrugging too*
No problem, Ikki.
