I have been here for many months and I have decided it was time to bring something of my own world to this place. That is, in the form of a sub-archway that I have had created within Nova City.

It would be advisable not to visit it without my guidance, in person or at least with some knowledge of what you are seeing. The archway opens to my planet of Kalee and it can be a wild and hazardous place. I have already stepped within what has been recreated and you may find unique yet dangerous creatures there. You will also find sacred places that should not be disturbed or desecrated.

At various times, if it has been arranged, Grievous will be standing by his sub-archway to show people around his world. Or perhaps you simply saw him there and were curious.

Once inside, here is a basic description of what can be found:

This is a visual of the main area, and the most prominent central feature is reminiscent of a Mayan step pyramid with a wider, flat top. Surrounding this are smaller buildings made of stonework - marketplaces and houses. Beyond those is an ocean, the buildings being not far away from the shoreline of a partly rocky and partly sandy beach area. There are sheer, mossy cliffs lining this area, which the waves crash against. On the opposite side to the ocean, next to the buildings, lies a tropical rainforest in which can be found strange alien creatures, some of which may resemble the mask Grievous wears. Many of these creatures are predatory.

For those who enter the large pyramid-like building they will find a sort of temple inside with an apparent pantheon of gods as depicted on artwork painted directly on the walls and also statues. One such statue also has a mask similar to the one Grievous wears. Many are posed like warriors with various weaponry including swords, spears and rifles. All are wearing fierce-looking alien bone masks covering the statue's actual faces.

Further details of the place and the culture will or can be explained during the visits.

It does take him a while to reach the location Grievous has given him, but when he arrives he has obviously prepared for not quite knowing what to prepare work. Sturdy boots, a light but not too light waterproof jacket. He gives a small sheepish nod in greeting. ]

Sorry, General, I forgot to ask what climate to dress for.

Come. We can always return promptly if it gives you too much discomfort.

[And he led the way through the archway. The grand stepped temple lay directly before them; the ocean beyond that. To the side and behind was a jungle-like forest where prowling animals could be heard but not yet seen.]

[It's not a planet he particularly knows, at least at this point, but he has reasons for asking.]

[There was indeed something familiar about this man but the fresh-faced appearance threw Grievous off of making an instant identification.]

Yes, I am Kaleesh and the gateway is... a recreation of sorts. It is not a true doorway back to our homes. It is like a dream and a memory that you can visit while awake.

Anakin Skywalker granted me the final puzzle piece to bring this into reality.

[Not that it matters much, he was just assuming. But the thought of recreating a familiar place does cause him to think.]

How does one create one of these gateways?

Until recently it was quite the opposite. We have had our differences but now, I hope, we have something of an understanding here. There are no wars to fight in this place.

Anyone can create a sub-archway but you must make some sort of sacrifice. Something of personal value to yourself must be given up. An item. A memory. A skill. It is not a decision to take lightly.

I have been here for almost a year. I have been considering the idea for some time and it is what I wanted. It was not something done lightly.

[ While Anakin is a little surprised to see that Grievous has, indeed, created this sub-archway he has spoken of, the Jedi also feels somewhat pleased that his decision to trust the cyborg General hadn't been wrong.

So shortly after seeing this message he makes his way to the archway, wearing his dark robe as usual. And there's a calm smile on his face when he arrives and greets the being he's still more used to see as an enemy than as an ally. ]

Grievous.

[ Anakin nods. ]

I will admit that I'm a little impressed that you really did this. You just proved any doubts I may have had wrong.

[ And he's not above admitting that he may have had those. ]

So you still doubted my word. Ongoing actions will have to further assuage your suspicions.

[He ushers Anakin toward and maybe through the archway, if he doesn't hesitate. Grievous is well aware that there could be the thought that this is some sort of Jedi trap - but of course it isn't.]

[ There's a shrug, but he moves along as requested, but not without a small smirk. ]

You'd be just as cautious.

[ And that's about as far as he gets before stepping through the archway and onto the unfamiliar planet on the other side. ]

After all, the last time a Jedi stepped on Kalee they brought ruin with them. Showing you my world now, I hope that we can come to a better mutual understanding.

[Through the archway, the huge stepped temple was up ahead. Further in the background the ocean could be both heard and seen with steep cliffs towering above the water. Just behind them the sounds of wild creatures could be randomly heard, coming from within the thick jungle of trees beyond the cluster of smaller stone buildings. There was an ancient wildness about the setting.]
