[and she doesn't even really like school but she's not dumb and she doesn't want to be held back or miss her chance at Jonan. Mama would be really mad. She sighs and hugs her pillow]

[for talking to her... or anything really. For those in the rooms above the shop, Miaka is tucked up in her borrowed bed, hugging a pillow and feeling very out of place. The door is cracked open a little so she can be seen and it's obvious...well...that she's not entirely happy]
