[Closed] Just a Taste Test!

Who: Rose and Koishi
What: Taste testing the meat from the new shop
Where: Everglade
Warnings: It's lab-grown "human" meat mostly. And Koishi is being super adorably excited about it.

Koishi had gotten the text about the shop that sold human meat but... well, unfortunately she had not been able to find it. Fortunately though Rose had contacted her (and sent her a map) so now she was on her way! They had arranged to meet there at the shop.

It actually didn't take long for Koishi to arrive. She didn't exaclty have anything better to do. The front door would open and close, though no one appeared to be there. At least at first... Which probably meant-

"Hey! Miss! Miss Roses! I'm here now!"

And there was a little green troublemaker in Rose's face, beaming brightly with her hundred watt smile and literally glowing eyes.

"Yay! You can see me!" And the obligatory hug. "I'm really excited to be here and I'm really hungry! I can't wait! There's so much meat in here it looks really good! I wanna try everything!"

Rose laughed softly, walking in after Koishi, "I did not bring enough money for that, but let's see what we can do, yeah?" She pushed her hair back with a hand nervously. It was so creepy, but she was trying to be professional, and more importantly supportive for her friend. "So uh... Do you have to have it specially prepped or anything or..." she left the end of that question off completely.

"It's okay. I have money too." She had zero intention of completely breaking Rose's wallet.

She was already drifting around the shop, looking at the various meats on display, her facial features gradually changing and becoming subtly less human. By the time she had made her rounds her sclera was black and she was salivating.

"What should I try first Miss Roses?" Though she was clearly eyeing the raw 'human' meat. "It doesn't need to be anything special. I eat raw meat all the time."

On the one hand, Rose isn't sure how to feel about Koishi using her paycheck for Torchwood testing... on the other hand, it's Koishi's money and if she wants to spend it on questionably sourced human body parts--

"Uh-huh." Rose rubbed her face with a hand. This was not creepy. Koishi was the little sister youkai she always wanted. SHE WILL BE SUPPORTIVE. "Something generic first. Then work your way up I expect." Rose suddenly missed Jabe. How would tree-people princess feel about this? Would she laugh it off and help convince Rose it was no big deal? "Maybe like eaaaars?" she drawled out hesitantly, reminded a little TOO keenly of the cows in the restaurant at the end of the universe by Douglas Adams who would tell you their best parts to eat. "Because they're all cartilage, and then work up to hearts and brains, because those will have the most emotion attached I expect." SCIENTIFIC OBSERVER. SHE COULD DO THIS.

And Rose liked to nibble ears! .... When they were attached to people. And not cow ears. Although cow's tongue was --

She's so grabbing Jack for drinks at the Fairy Tail guild after this.

She blinked. Ears...? "Ears are better when you roast them as a snack. But you're right. I should save hearts for last. They're my favorite." She drifted over to the counter and set her chin down on it looking around. "That." She pointed. "And that... that. And that over there!" Meats of various sizes and parts. A liver, part of a femur... "Oh and one brain, some eyes, and two hearts. I want to bring one home for sis too."

She pulled out her device without a second thought, handing it over to be beeped, watching eagerly as her choices were gathered up... It was almost like watching a little kid in a candy shop. Almost.

She had to use her tentacles to accept the wrapped package, shifting it around and making sure it was secure before drifting back. "Hehe. It smells good. There's plenty here for a picnic!" She was just so happy.

"Duly noted," Rose tried not to blanch too much...

"Don't have a picnic, we'll get ants," Rose tried to joke. "Man-eating fireants, but still... ants."

"Oh I'm not worried about ants. You have to leave food out for awhile to get them." She was already drifting out of the shop, having pocketed her device and holding her various selections close.

"Besides, you wanted my thoughts, right? Or that's what you said. You don't seem very happy right now even if this isn't really people-meat. She tilted her head a little bit. "Humans are strange."
