(For those who's last image of Taichi Yagami was nothing but a shot of his goggles in the desert...cue mind-blowing, heartbreaking moment as he suddenly appears on the screen with a look mixed with seriousness and curiosity. This definitely hadn't been the place he figured he'd show up at.

...Okay. First, hi to everyone in Genessia. I know it's probably a stretch, but does anyone here know Yamato, Sora, Koushirou, Mimi, Joe, Takeru and my sister Hikari? They might have some plush toys with them that can talk and move on their own.

(Emphasis on 'might' as he doesn't even have Agumon considering the last time he saw his partner, he was Omegamon.)

Anyway...I got here during the weekend but wanted to get a grip on things first. It was...intense back home. Really intense.

[Hikari had been checking the day's messages in her spare time, when the last face she would have expected to appear came onto her screen. A face she had seen in so many of her dreams the last few months. Usually in the context of those moments before...]

[Sinking to her knees, she stared at the communicator for a long moment before, hand shaking, she reached out to pick it up. And turned it back on. Playing the message all over again.]

[It was...intense back home...]

[She barely registered anything but his voice. Including the part where she hit the button to respond back.]

(Taichi hadn't thought he'd get ahold of the others so quickly. They must've been pulled here the same way he had. But, from when? Was it the same time as him or earlier?

...Would he have to deal with time travel stuff?)

Yeah, it's me.

[The thought of time travel didn't even register to her. Not right then. Not when the impossible was staring back at her.]

[Taichi hadn't seen her in those moments after. There had been no tears. No screaming. No emotion of any kind. Only pure disassociation as she stared down the cavern. So in shock at the events that had just played out right in front of her, her mind literally was unable to process...much of anything. Leaving her on autopilot in both words an actions. Murmuring words of admonition as her feet led her to the edge of the cliff. Seeing nothing but a dark, endless abyss below.]

...but...you can't be here.

[Similarly, there was an eerie softness to her tone now. No more able to process his sudden appearance than she'd been able to process his...]

You fell. I saw you fall.

(Taichi recalled those last few events of the battle quite well. He'd pushed Yamato and Meico out of the way, nodded once at Omegamon as if to say 'save them, worry about me later' and tried to get back to the others.

The ground gave way...he'd noticed his sensei run toward him...

Then nothing.)

...I did. I had Omegamon save Yamato & Meico, tried to get back to the rest of you before the ground split further...

(What had happened to his goggles? Taichi silently made a note to inquire about them.)

And you fell.

[She was echoing her own words, but within the context of their exchange. Mostly.]

[Her heart was racing in chest and pounding in her ears. If she were of a clearer mind, she would have tried to figure out where exactly he was--maybe a glimpse of background wouldn't have been enough, but in time, clues would emerge to lead her to the right place.]

[That was...if she could ever get her legs to work again.]

You're not...a ghost, are you? Like Wizarmon...

[Another precious person she'd seen fall right in front of her. Who'd returned to her only once, and then as a non-corporeal figment of his former self.]

(Taichi does take note of where it pings, but would like a bit more to go on. Room 18 helps a bit, but the name of the city won't register beyond just being the name of a city. It will be a clue, however.)

[Takeru was currently at work. It wasn't his delivery work more his barista job that at best worked fewer hours doing, even if he somewhat enjoyed it more because he learned something as he went. Plus his friends pretty much get good coffee because of it.

So currently he had just finished on a latte, handing it over with his usual smile and a thank you when he went to check on his device and found himself pausing for a moment. He was just going to check over a few more times.

No, it was definitely him. He was pretty sure that Hikari would be well aware of it right now. He wasn't sure what exactly he was going to say or do, he was pondering over various things. But he did first of all at least go into the backroom, asking someone to cover for the moment before switching the feed on.]

Intense is putting it extremely lightly.

(Taichi had indeed talked with and met up with Hikari first. He'd let Takeru bring it up, even if he had to make him 'sweat.')

Yeah, I've been looking out for her since she arrived couple months back.

[He paused quietly. He was very much sure no one had brought up one particular thing... and he was starting to wonder if maybe he should. Mostly because it was connected to Hikari and the fact of what she was like when she arrived.

It was why he seemed calmer compared to the other two as well. There was that one thought dancing around his head and he figured it was the best idea. So in the meantime, he switches the feed to private.]

Which reminds me... I feel like I should say this. I am glad that you're back, really happy. Hikari probably the most out of all of us but...

[He takes a small pause.] You might not know what happened after what happened to you and I feel like... I should say something because honestly... You should really know and I don't want to have to deal with Hikari going down that route if something were to happen to you again. It was painful the first time.

[Mimi had just finished sending a cute selfie to Ryuji when the video message came through. She almost fell over seeing the face, and almost going pale, she watched it.

She sat on the counter to steady herself, the other patrons of the music store asking if she was okay to which she dismissively said "yes" and "thank you."

It was really him...

Oh...no... if she felt this way... what about Hikari?!

No...no... first things first. Taichi is ALIVE. That is good. Hopefully Hikari knows already considering Mimi was slightly distracted. And Takeru would be there for Hikari if she asked, so there was nothing to worry about...

...except her own feelings on the matter.

She turned the feed on, unable to put on the smile until she KNEW it was really her friend talking to her.]

(A friendly face, one which he was very pleased to see. He did miss seeing that smile even if he'd just seen her moments ago. No need to worry her anymore; he gives her a light smile and nods.)

[With a quick intake of breath, something dawned on her, and she treaded lightly. Everyone came from different timelines. She was lucky that Hikari and Takeru were from the same one, but the stories she heard, and that brief appearance of the younger version of Sora before... what if this Tachi was from BEFORE the ground swallowed him?]

(As he heard Mimi’s question, Taichi’s expression changed ever so briefly. The incident was too fresh in his mind for him not to know what she meant.)

The ground split apart and I made sure Yamato and Meico were safe...before I fell in.

Um...one's a small orange dinosaur who comes up to about here- (Taichi motions to his legs which is mostly where Agumon does stand next to him at full size if he hasn't evolved.)

-And the others would be a pink bird, a green plant and a few more assortment of animal-like toys.

(Taichi smiles lightly at Sayaka and nods agreeably. Before blinking in slight confusion. The girl hadn't quite introduced herself.)
