[Action, 3/30]

[She wakes up with a start, her first instinct to scream. And she does.

And then she looks at her hands. Touches her face. It all feels real. But she doesn't recognize this place at all. Did she... actually die? She remembers dying. She doesn't remember how, or why, or when -- as far as she could tell, it felt as real as she feels right now. But then, this doesn't make any sense. Was it a dream, then...?

She stays where she is for a few minutes, trying to figure out if this is a dream or not. She pinches her cheeks, pinches her arm, but nothing. She's not waking up, so this must be... real?

Accepting the gifts that she finds on her person, she gets out of there and finds herself in front of a hologram.

And sits there for a little while, trying to find some sense of reality.]

[After a while of being in the docks, she takes a map and makes her way outside. This... definitely isn't home. But she decides maybe she'll take this with a grain of salt. The hologram mentioned being able to live a normal life... it was worth a try, right?

Fighting the voice screaming in her head that this wasn't right, she trudged onward, determined to find the Genessia Commons. And promptly bumped into someone.]

U-Uwah! I'm so sorry! [She falls right back onto the ground, rubbing her head a bit.] I wasn't looking where I was going...

Hello everyone! My name is Sayori, and I'm, um, kind of new here! Hi! :)

I was kinda wondering where the best clothing stores were around here. I need a few new outfits since none of mine came with me except the one I'm wearing now... but these bills that I found when I woke up would pay for more, right?

I'd appreciate any help at all! Thank you soooo much!

[EGGS. EGGS EVERYWHERE, oh gosh. One could find Sayori picking up egg after egg and putting them into her new backpack. This was so much fun! Maybe she should try and look for some harder to reach eggs!

... Or maybe not, with how much trouble she's having reaching one on a high tree branch. ... Er, she might could use a little help before she trips over herself!]

[Uai's instinct is to reach out to grab her arm and catch her. No matter how long he's been a glitch, his automatic response is to help.

After realizing what he's done, however, he lets go. HOPEFULLY WITHOUT JUST DROPPING HER... It doesn't look like he's hurt her, but Uai proceeds like he's caused damage.]

No, my apologies. I wasn't looking either.

Are you okay, miss?

[She makes a sound as she's grabbed, but when she's let go she manages to keep her balance, hopping a couple of times to stand straight back up.]

Ah-! I-I'm okay, really. Thanks for trying to keep me from falling. I'm just trying to find the place this goes to. [She holds up the key to the Commons room she found on her person when she woke up.]

Hm? You mean like this one?

[Uai summons—- yes, as in with magic,—- his own room key. It appears in the palm of his hand and he holds it up to compare with hers.]

The keys to the commons? Did you just arrive here?

[Her eyes widen a little in astonishment.] D-Did you just--?

Um, y-yes, I did. Just today, actually...

Ah-- Well. I'm sorry to have to welcome you to Genessia at all.

These keys are for a common apartment. It shouldn't be too hard to find, if you're good with directions. They started you off with some money too, so be sure to stop somewhere and get a bite to eat.

Stress only gets worse when you're hungry.

Koishi heard the scream and drifted over to investigate. She was being... careful for the most part, waiting outside the bay to see who it was that came-

Oh! There she was! And she had the same haircut as her big sister! Which clearly meant that the two of them meeting would result in the best of friendships and nothing could ever go wrong. Absolutely. This was a great idea.

With zero fear the little youkai drifted down, grabbing onto Sayori's sleeve and tugging. "Hello there miss! Can you see me? Can you hear me? I like your hair! Hello?"

It took her a few moments to realize her sleeve was getting tugged. But seeing her caused Sayori to take a few steps back in shock. "E-Eh!? I-I can see and hear you! Are you... floating?"

Holograms, floating people, strange money... this definitely was the weirdest kind of dream world.

She was indeed floating. With glowing green eyes and an enormous smile. She drifted closer, tilting her hat up. "Oh good! Hello there. My name is Koishi Komeiji. I'm a satori youkai."

A sphere drifted up, nudging Sayori's should- wait, was that an eye? Yes. It was absolutely a third eye. "You don't have to be scared of me though. I can't read minds anymore. It's nice to meet you!"

"A satori...?" She didn't know a lot in specific about youkai, but she'd definitely heard about what a satori is. Which is then proven by the eye showing up.

"Um... i-it's nice to meet you too... I've never met a youkai at all before. Let alone a satori..." With her eye not working?

"That's okay. Not many people have met youkai here. But that just makes this meeting more exciting!" That was one way to put it.

"Your mind is twisted into knots and sizzling over silvers tinted warmly. But the shivers-warm. Don't be scared. There's nothing bad here, okay?" Apparently she liked speaking in riddles. "Miss Satsuki taught me that ice cream makes everything better. Do you want to go get some?"

[ As a resident Tall Person Yamato was habitually often quick to spot someone in peril when it came to reaching for great heights and Sayori’s attempts right here weren’t that different. He gave it a moment or two as he stopped on his way home to watch her try and reach yet another one of these odd eggs that had started appearing everywhere, then he quietly made his way over to offer a little wordless assistance. ]

[ While not astronomically tall it was still easier for him to reach up, snag the desired egg, and offer it to Sayori with a casual- ] There.

Oh-! [She didn't expect anyone to actually help her with that egg. But she graciously takes it, gently, with a smile.] Thank you! It was just a little out of my reach...

[She places it into her backpack, which is very obviously filled with lots of unopened eggs.]

Have you been collecting eggs too?

[ "Normal life" and the person Sayori'd wound up bumping into might not immediately seem to go together. Robert is smaller even than Natsuki and might feel a bit weird on impact; both of them end up falling over, but he's pretty unbothered as he picks himself back up. ]

It's fine. Things like that happen. [ He's also pretty... non-mouth-movey. Mask?? Maybe... ]
