[The video opens up with Gale in what looks like a hospital waiting room- in Nova City, judging by the appearance of the backdrop. He's got a serious face on, and the visible markings on his neck seem to be more of a greyish-blue than the vibrant blue they normally are. He pushes up his mini-glasses.]

This is Nova City Deputy Gale Reinhardt.

[That was an odd thing to say formally to the public for the first time, despite having the position for months.]

It's pretty obvious already that weird things are goin' on. Again. We got familiar faces turnin' into kids, but we've got other issues too. Some of you oughta remember that Attleton incident a couple years ago where tons of folks lost one of their senses. That's goin' around again. I don't know if it's directly connected to the whole "different age" thing, but a wreck happened in Nova City earlier due to a resident suddenly losing their sight for no discernible reason.

Don't ask me if it's connected to that egg warning someone broadcasted earlier. We can't confirm anything, so I couldn't tell ya what Genessia's up to this time. Regardless if they're connected or simply isolated incidents, exercise caution.

[He doesn't like this "making an announcement" stuff when it doesn't involve booze at his businesses, but after what happened to Faye, he wasn't going to wait to see if Garrus was going to do it.]

How long do annoyances like this usually last?

[If there was anything today that could nearly make him laugh, it was certainly that. He did have a slight smirk and let out the quietest laugh, so it was a good thing he was using text right now.]

Wow. So Genessia is doing something new.

Whenever it goes batshit for whatever reason, seems to range from anywhere between a few days to two weeks at the longest. A week's a good average to assume.

[ This is why he's using text and trying to limit social interactions. ]

How often roughly does Genessia go batshit?

After being here two and a half years, I can safely say every month or every couple months it likes to pull something weird. Sometimes it's harmless, other times it's pretty serious.

Basically, be aware that something fucking absurd could happen at literally any time. This place doesn't pull any punches.

The loss of senses and age changing is serious.

This troublesome voice is pointing out how clothing of this time period better accentuate certain parts of a woman's body.

I'm considering spending some time in the Dream Docks before I lose my temper.

[Cranky about her gross, multi-colored hair, but it's not going to interfere with her work in any way.]

[If he's in the hospital, it's either because he got injured, or someone he cared about is down for a while.]

He was briefly distracted by a couple of nurses passing by down the hallway since he was impatiently waiting for the cue to get back to see Faye. When they walked out of sight, his brow furrowed, looking back at the feed.]

I don't want to, but I might take you up on a couple hours, at least. The one in the traffic collision earlier was my roommate. Since she's blind for however long, I gotta see what I can do about gettin' someone to look after her when she can go home so no one will have to cover for me.

[He can spend less time at his clubs no problem, but he's taking this whole "deputy" thing surprisingly more seriously than anyone would have initially thought - himself included - so he can't let himself take days off even if he'd want to.]
