[When the feed clicks on, it does so mid-bounce as if the device had been tossed aside with little in the way of regard for what happened to it. Those watching it was spared most of the camera shaking if only because the room in which the broadcast originates is pitch black save for three points of illumination. The first two show the shadow-cloaked face of Vlad as his eyes appear to burn with a hellish flame. The third seems to be a small crimson stone, glowing in the darkness, pulsing softly almost as if mimicking a heart beat. When Vlad speaks, his voice is restrained, but the fury is more than evident.]

I have spent quite some time in this place, and during that time I have learned quite a bit of the nature of the realm. Those of us chosen to be ripped from our own worlds seem to have been plucked from them to serve as protectors of the realm, to keep the barriers around the cities in place so that what lies beyond at bay.

It is because of this that I was willing to accept the peace offering that was returning my wife to my side. However, she is no longer here. Sent back to the fate that awaited her in our world; to be tortured and burnt at the stake for the crime of showing compassion. What this realm seems to have forgotten is that I am not as forgiving as Lisa.

[He pauses, clenching his fist around the stone, dimming the lights further but allowing the shifting shadows that fill the room behind him to become a bit more visible.]

Perhaps it is time I remind Genessia why I am called Vlad the Impaler...

And their God allowed you to exact your revenge, without intervening. He wept as you did, but he knew he could not save them from themselves. That is the curse of freedom of will; it gives men the freedom to do the wrong thing.

I walked with the Messiah, Tepes. I saw the people he helped. And I saw him cut down by humans, like those who slew your wife, who lived in ignorance and hate. It took me six thousand years to trust them again - and they saved a universe I was created to destroy. Take it from someone who learned the long way around. There is good in humanity, just as there is evil. Have you seen anyone crucified here when there was no public outcry? Witnessed a burning where there was no protest, no attempt to save the victim... or vengeance enacted when it was discovered too late?

Time changes all things; the attitudes of humans are no more immune to this than the weeds of the field. You chose to become a demon. Can you chose to become something more?

I'll wait for your decision. If you want to speak to me in person... seek out chaos.

Do you truly believe the whole of humanity to be devoid of compassion, Tepes? I am the incarnation of Anima itself. I am fueled by their anger, their hate, their desire for destruction - but I have also born witness to their kindness, their strength, and their ability to love. You have spent a scant handful of centuries watching them from afar - I have spent millennia living among them. I watched them rise from dirt and dung to reach the stars.

If you desire proof of my claims, I can provide it at a time and place of your choosing. As for my name... you may call me Yeshua, if you prefer.

I was given that name by the son of that God you speak of. I walked with him. Spoke with him. Wrought miracles in his name.

And he convinced me not to do exactly what you are trying to do. I was created to wipe the universe clean. To return everything to the point of origin.

To destroy. Everything.

The God you speak of is as a child, working clay and dung into shapes it finds pleasing. Even his son understood this. When the clay he has worked makes war upon the dung, he weeps. When the beings he carefully sculpted in his own image fall to disease, to famine, to the predations of their fellows, he weeps. But he cannot intervene, for he has given them the freedom to choose their own ways.

If your hatred is so near and dear to your heart, then use it to create, not to destroy. You have no idea what wonders mankind is capable of, if given the chance to rise above themselves and the tools to do so.
