Gaming Log [Semi Closed]

Where: A Gamer Center in Nova City


[ As our local lucky volunteers arrive at the gaming center they were instructed to head to, they are directed to file into a room with twelve chairs arranged in a semi circle in front of a blackboard. A man in a blue shirt and black jeans is standing at the front of the room, waving a hand to welcome everyone in. ]

"Welcome, welcome - so glad you could all make it. In just a few minutes we'll be turning on the Veer 500 and you can begin, I just wanted to go over a few ground rules, and make sure you sign this affidavit absolving us of responsibility if you get hurt, lost or warped within the virtual reality-ness of our system."

"Firstly, we've implemented real world physics in some of our games, and in those, if you get hurt there you get hurt here. Most of our games are for the enjoyment of children and adults alike, so the damage in those games are all in your head. IF you die, you'll just be ejected back to the central hub and have to wait until the next game round... (in theory)."

"Last but not least, provided this session is a success, we may invite you back for a second or third session until we hammer out any and all bugs or kinks in the system so that the Veer 500 is a gaming experience unlike any other. Now, before we open the doors to the Veer 500, are there any questions?"

[Before she could respond, she heard a voice from above her. Then she notices a large guy falling.]

[She picks up her sword along with herself and starts running behind the girls she's with.]

[Kodachi finds nothing wrong with Renge's statement. Wow.. That.. That is one huge.. Thing. Wearing a crown?? Kodachi at first stares at Hippo with wide eyes, but once Usagi skitters behind them, she remembers to go back into character. So she takes in a deeeep breeaaath, then lets out the most unholy of screams.]

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!! THE KING OGRE!!

[ Hops in and promptly gets stuck inside of an empty tree trunk that was once home to a family of chipmunks. It =probabl= won't be too hard to get out with that girth though. If y'know. Y'break it. Those poor chipmunks though. Poor things go skittering for freedom the minute they see Hippo coming too. Ohgodaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. ]

... how would I know someting like that? Is that kind of background even normal?

[ As far as getting ianto character well... Akane's no idea how that's supposed to even happen. However Kodacha's scream automatically has Akane put a hand out and slap her upside the head to guard her from an attack - that doesn't come. ]

King Ogre? You know this guy?

[ Also how did things turn out with Akane at the forefront? ]

[Yes. The most equipped among them. The person who is an actual heroine is cowering behind the girls.]

[He holds his arms up, looking from side to side to gauge his situation. He should have sunk right in, and plopped out in some other world...preferably the world of Metroid. This thing must be busted. Well it's not like he's going to let himself stay stuck for the sake of some stupid rodents, so he gives himself a hearty downward jolt, using his massive girth to shatter the stump. He kicks his way out of the rest with his stubby legs. Marching up to the squad of girls, he jabs the thumb of his glove at his chest.]

I'm King Hippo! Who are you losers?

[She squeaks once Hippo shouts again, but it doesn't kill much of her amusement of his being stuck. What in the world was he trying to do, anyway?

And with Usagi hiding behind them, the Princess can't help but be wary there as well. She better not steal anything!]

The monster king speaks beast-tongue! I am far too sophistocated to comprehend it! [She declares, now conveniently standing behind Akane.] You speak his language, do you not? Do relay to the animal that we come in peace!

[ Akane tenses, her eyes narrowing at this RUDE jerk of a guy. And .. with Kodachi suddenly behind her, Akane raises an eyebrow. ]

Beast tongue...? It doesn't sound like beast tongue to me; I understand him fine.

[ Well, whatever. ]

Tendou Akane. Behind me is Princess Kodachi of the... er.. Kumquat Kingdom.. [ She shot a quick glance at the other girl to confirm because ti's a weird WEIRD thing. ]

And the other girl is... ... actually I don't think we ever got her name. What's it to you?

[Is that candy hidden within Kodachi's dress' secret pockets. Usagi helps herself to some of them before peering from behind the two ladies.]

What kind of name is King Hippo?

Didn't give a name, huh? How about Stupid? Bwah ha ha ha ha!

[That's what you get for questioning his awesome name. Satisfied that he just made the mother of all burns, he starts waddling away from the trio of girls. At least the Akane one treated him with some respect. He'd punch her last if it came to that.]

Well whatever. Once I find that warp zone, I'm outta here!

[Kodachi ignores the look she's given; as far as she's concerned it is the most normal thing! Suddenly there's a fan in hand, which she snaps open upon being introduced. Why there are even twirling roses and her name and title written in gorgeous cursive in front of her. And she doesn't look impressed by the King's joke. In fact, she raises a hand to her chest to quite loudly huff her disapproval.]

Why I never! I refuse to allow my rank to be sullied by the likes of this... This Beast! By the powers invested in me, I hereby decree that you are to be addressed as merely 'Hippo'!

[Grr, snarl! As for 'what is a warp zone'. She then speaks behind her fan to Usagi, unaware she has been looted.]
