Action; A Day In The Park

[Though all of the trails and hardships that he went through in his life, he never imagined paperwork and government work would end up being such a big part of his life. He could imagine that even if he had followed a similar path as his Father, he probably wouldn’t have gad nearly as much paper work to do as he does some days.

So this is one of those days where he takes time for himself. The majority of it which he spent reflecting. At the moment, though, he’s at the park. He’s sipping a drink while bread floating in the air just beside him. Occasionally a piece will suddenly become shredded before the pieces are launched into the big pond in the park for the ducks.]

Guess I'll just relax here until I'm out of bread. [He did have some things in mind for what he wanted to do later. Going over personal projects and such.] Maybe I'll spend some time in Holodeck'd testing that equipment that I had made.

[During her patrols in Genessia City, the park was one of the places that Karla passed by often. However, it was rare to see David out and about, and a pleasant surprise indeed.]

David? Fancy seeing you out here.

[She makes her way to him and pauses. It would be nice to have a casual chat with him rather than talking about work, or comforting one another when they were down.]

Mind if I join you for a bit?

[He looks over to Karla when she speaks and he gives her a smile.] Yeah, sure.

[He motions to the empty seat next to him. He honestly hadn't expected to come across her in the park.]

You out on patrol?

[Karla takes a seat next to him, crossing one leg over the other, exhaling.]

Yes...I come this way often, and I like to take a break here. I bring my Pokemon here as well...

[She pauses for a moment, and then speaks again.]

So...how's life?

As good as it can be. [He's pretty how with how his life has gone here so far, no complaints whatsoever.]

How about you?

Well, I can't complain. Lea and I are getting along especially well. I think I've done more with him than with anyone else in Genessia in all the years I've been here.

[It seems strange to connect with one person almost immediately after struggling to connect with anyone else. She can't help but wonder why...]

[ There's another person in the park along with David. Although it's still pretty cold in Genessia, it doesn't seem like it bothers her all that much. The angel is still dressed in her standard garb of her white tunic, robe and sandals. For today, she's merely watching people come and go from the park, making observations here and there.

To an ordinary person, she seems to be rather normal. However, to someone like David, her power tends to radiate from her very person. And yet, she still looks human for the most part. Her eyes glance over, taking note of the bread floating in the air. A slender brow raises in response with her tilting her head in response. ]

Do you come here often to feed the ducks?

This is my first time. [It's such a mundane thing to do, he knows. But when you live in the world of superpowers and superbeings, the mundane could have its own unique novelty to it. He doesn't seem bothered by her power, mostly since she used to be friends with Mikasa and David spent his fair share of time visiting her and her home.]

Why do you ask?

I just have not seen you doing this before. [ For someone who primarily decides to sit back and observe, she's just curious why people decide to do something different sometimes. ]

How have you been? It has been some time since the last time we saw one another.

[The park felt like an ideal place to relax, even for the android. After a long day of work, that's where he headed to.

There was an unnatural breeze from one direction. It was Seventeen, touching down gently from the sky. He rarely flies, no matter the weather, when he felt like it. He kept to himself when he strolled around the park. Despite the cold weather, it didn't seem to phase the android.

Usually, he would had mind his own business, but something stirred him to walk pass David.]

Don't feed too much bread to the ducks.

[Talk about greeting the Guardian.]

They'll eat more even when full and get infected later if isn't digest properly.

[Ranger life folks.]

I don't plan to. I'd heard that bread for them is very much like junkfood is for humors. Okay in small doses, but bad for them in large quantities. [He's specifically aiming the bread pieces in the area of the ducks that failed to get any of the last bits that he'd launched.]

However, I didn't know the thing about them getting infected. [Ranger Seventeen has imparted new knowledge.] Perhaps I'll opt for some type of bird seed next time.

[If he had to hear it from his wife everyday, well... so would everyone else.]

It only occurs if there is mold in the bread. [He gave a shrug. Everything else David mentioned was spot on. He keeps an eye one the bread but not because of him feeding, mostly cause it's levitating.] That's not a bad idea.

There shouldn't be any need to worry then, this is fresh bread. [He bought it from a bakery with the idea of giving it to the ducks.]

So you know a lot about animals and their eating habits?

Most of them.

I've dealt with animals in my home world.

[Fai was in an odd place. Work was going on as normal, but really he was having what he assumed was a creative block. So Fai was taking it upon himself to go out into the world and perhaps actually do other things and see if that helped with anything.

While he was wandering through the park he found himself pausing for a moment. Well, that was a sight he rarely saw.]

Never thought I'd see you in the park. Taking a break?

[It's pretty relaxing, honestly. He's going to have to make an effort to come here more often.]

I am. We all need one everyone now and then, don't we? I take it you are doing the same?

That is something I was always good at. Except during that one year I was Guardian. The only time I never took a proper break.

[And was part of the reason why he decided to instead help from the sidelines instead. Though he now has to make sure other people take breaks to because of it, so it works out.]

And we all know how that turned out for me, so a break is good for any guardian. Though I do wonder if any of the others actually do.

[Enis is wearing a worn pair of jeans, the belt that David had given her during the last large scale attack and a plan tank top. She's enjoying the steadily warming weather though it doesn't show when you look at the pale hue of her complexion. Enis doesn't tan, which she supposes is a good thing since she rarely burns as well.]

Didn't think I'd find you out here talking to yourself.

[She pushes her fingers through her short hair and steps up next to his side. Enis hadn't plan to stop and chat with her boss but she'd over heard him and had gotten a little curious.]

Do you want help testing? [Technology is one of the things that Enis enjoys.]

I find the sometimes plan stick with you better when you speak them aloud to yourself. [It makes them feel more concrete, like it definitely has to be done.]

Are you sure you have the time to do it? You aren't busy today?

[Enis's mouth tugs into a sly smirk.]

I have time. You know, when my boss isn't breathing down my neck about one thing or another. [Her voice slowly gains levity as she continues.] I think he'll forgive me this time and, if something catastrophic comes up, I'm sure you'll forgive me for dropping everything to go play hero.

[She doesn't consider herself a hero, Enis doesn't even consider herself to be a good person, but she usually down plays her own opinion. Apparently self-loathing is negative? Mean while, Enis finds her self-loathing to be a comfortable part of her theology.]

[Ten is just out and about and spots David - which is always a pleasure to see him]

And what equipment would that be?

[He gives the Doctor a small wave.]

A device like the Holodeck'd that is miniaturized and can be worn. I've had one made already and I need to test out the second one that has been creatred.

What are we waiting for? [Why yes- that is a cheeky grin. However, he does wonder why a Holo deck - well outside to confuse someone on their surroundings]
