[Just look at that bright smile as she brings her finger up to make a point and gestures with it.]

I haven’t been selling my beautiful voice lately, so your resident cute girl hasn’t been posting much, buuuuuuuuuut! I have a surprise I’ve been working on for all-of-you!

[She cutely emphasizes the previous last three words, then looks into the camera a little closer.]

[Then she bends down and lifts a poster she decorated with lots of glitter that reads “Prom Night- May 19th!”]

Dan-dada-dah! That’s right! You are all cordially invited to the Genessia Prom! It was a tradition that teenagers did in America when I lived there, and I’m bringing it to all of you! [She puts the poster down and looks at the camera again.] AND the best part is that even though it’s directed at my fellow teenagers, everyone is invited!

I have some special people in mind for music, but I’ll definitely need help with decorations and food and stuff like that, so message me if you want to help!

For the rest of you Genessians, it’s time to start shopping for your dresses and suits, and corsages, and get those dance lessons in! Don’t forget to ask your special someone before someone else does it first!

[Her eyes are wide with excitement at that part. She loves the dramatic aspect, don’t mind her.]

[After the video feed ends, she's humming and dancing to herself around the apartment, and lands herself in the kitchen, still dancing and singing as she makes herself a sandwich made of marshmallows, nutella, and strawberries on toasted wheat bread. That's healthy, right? Feel free to ask her why she's in such a good mood, or if they've seen the video feed, talk about the upcoming event! But beware, she might make you dance with her in the kitchen. Or at least try.]

[Hikari had been in her and Taichi's room, reading, when the sounds of Mimi's singing made its way to her ears. At first, she paused long enough to smile at how happy her friend sounded before returning to her reading. Something good must've happened to her recently.]

[It was only after a second song began to follow the first that Hikari's curiosity grew. This was more than even the usual Mimi Cheerfulness. Something was up. Putting the book down, she got up and made her way towards the kitchen.]

[At the sound of the voice, she grinned bright and spun around.]

Did you get a chance to check my video feed? It was some pretty exciting news! [And because she's impatient...] I'm hosting a Prom! It's like, a super big amazing dance party where you get to dress up and dance with a date and make memories~!

[She felt a small shiver down her spine as Mimi sang her name.]

[And, sure enough, she might as well not have bothered to respond at all, because Mimi continued on with so much excitement that it took a moment longer than it probably should have for the younger girl to properly process what she had just heard.]

...a Prom? [The word was clearly foreign to her, and not for the first time, she wondered if this was something Mimi had picked up in America. The description did help, at least, and after a bit of further contemplation, she smiled weakly.] That does sound like it could be fun. What made you decide to host something like that?

[Why the shiver? It's not like she's going to force her to go shopping with her or nominate her and Takeru for prom king and quee- oh. Nevermind. Yes, a shiver is probably appropriate.]

Well, I wanted a good reason to go shopping for a nice dress, and really, to enjoy time here with all of our new friends. And what better way than a dance party that's catered to people our age?

Ohhh!! I can't wait to find a dress! And you have to make sure Takeru matches your dress too! We're going to be the cutest girls there!

[Mimi, please. Just because they jokingly sometimes call each other '"My Queen" and "My King"...over the public network...doesn't mean...]

But now there's a gasp as if Hikari just said something offensive. Mimi spun around and cut her sandwich into two triangles before leaning against the counter with one of them in hand.]

Because only the best couples match each other's outfits! Everyone will see the matching pairs and think, 'Wow, I wish MY date matched me! I'm so jealous! They're so beautiful! What a cute couple!' So you HAVE to match!

[She took a bite of the sweet creation with a nod, as if to emphasize her point... as if she gave a legitimate reason.]

[Mimi, stop writing fic about them. ~~Or else she'll send Takeru with a red marker after your journals.~~.]

[She almost took a step back when Mimi spun around. At the very least, she did lean back. Eyes slightly wide.]

...but...I don't want to make people jealous. [It was hard enough dealing with his Moonbucks fangirls. Plus, she wasn't that type of person.] If we go, it should be to have fun together. Not because of what anyone else thinks of us.

Ooh, brilliant, a dance, haven't had one of those in a while, I'll be there, if course, but d'you mind if I ask what's the occasion?

Well, when I was living in New York, I learned that it was mostly something that happened right before summer. Because usually that's when school was ending. But I'm putting my own Mimi spin on things, and hopefully starting the first of an annual celebration! So maybe... it's just a yearly end of spring, beginning of summer party!

I mean...we never know when our new friends are going to go back to their own worlds, right?

[She smiled, then gasped.]

Yep! Everyone is invited! Especially since some people have never had a Prom, or when they had the chance, they couldn't go. So it's going to be an amazing dress-up dance party!

(Taichi poked his head out of his room after a few minutes of listening to Mimi singing; no he hadn't yet checked the feed, as he was busy trying to figure out exactly where to find the proper job better suited to his talents.

Oh, that sounds like fun! I'm Aira, and I'm new around here, but I'd be happy to help with the decorations or the food. My mom and dad run a bakery back at home, and I've learned from them.

...do you know any special tailors for a suit? Because this horn--

Kinda makes putting on suits impossible without tearing them up. Unless I can go without it?

I have to ask, what is a 'prom'? I do not think any tongue in Azeroth has that word...

[Ada hadn't been here that long, but she only seemed to know how to use voice correctly. After all, it was like a phone and she knew how to use one of those. It just had a load more buttons and such to make it more complicated.]

Oh, this sounds like fun. Though admittedly. Not really heard of a prom before. So it's all new to me.

Is there anything you have particularly in mind? I was thinking getting a few bands or solo artists but maybe having a bit of an open mic for those who've drunken the spiked punch to belt it out.
