[Unintentional Audio]
[Those scouring the network for anything interesting might come across an odd audio. A deep voice of a man, clap of boots upon a hard floor, all echo picked up by the device.]
Humans...
Even here in this unknown world, they seek validation of their own self-worth in meaningless games. Surely a less violent way to prove themselves, but no less vain.
[He must be talking about the popularity polls recently.]
Greed, vanity, wrath, lust... All traits that make up the evil lurking in the hearts of man that transcends time and space.
And yet... Something is different about these humans. I will have to watch them more closely...
[The footsteps begin to fade as whoever was speaking leaves the area.]

Re: voice
[He knows damn well what he did. And he'd do it again.]
Judging by your tone, I am right to assume I offended you?
voice
[And there's no trace of anything to suggest she's lying.
She's also very deliberate in her words, which comes across more so as she continues.]
Besides. All of what you said is what makes humanity less dull than it could be. I can't get too upset about that.
Re: voice
How, would you say is the limit of your patience? Can you continue to view them with amusement if their quest for power endangers the world?
no subject
[Having no moral compass comes in handy for enjoying things like that.]
Besides. The vast majority are never actually going to amount to anything in their pathetic little lives so why not let them try?
no subject
[But he knows all to well that if the ambition is great enough, they will throw away all morals just to prove themselves at the most trivial matter. Even if just to chase away what scares them.]
Such blissful ignorance can give way to annihilation.
no subject
[While it lasts. Because for Junko, it's the annihilation that's the best part and all the better if no-one sees it coming.]
no subject
[Getting to the point now. Dhaos could never resign himself to nihilism. He would raze the human kingdoms countless times over for his goals.]
no subject
[Never mind that anything precious enough to her that its destruction would affect her is all fair game and actually a good thing if it is destroyed.]
no subject
[Indeed, very nihilistic. Nihilistic to a point where Dhaos doubts she's even human.]
no subject
[Humanity would probably welcome being able to deny Junko as one of them. Alas that she still counts among them.]
I don't have to experience something to understand it. Just because I'm not protecting anything right now doesn't mean I don't know what that instinct can lead people to do.
no subject
[Makes him wonder if she would do the exact same thing if she were in his position.]
Perhaps we may speak again at a later time.
[However doubtful that may be.]
no subject
[Perhaps not the most balanced perspective but it's perspective all the same.]
[He did say her name, after all. Speak of the devil, and all of that nonsense.]
You left your communicator on, by the way.
[Audio]
I suppose you thought in pointing this out to me, I would be humiliated. Correct?
[Audio]
[She shrugs on her end, even though he can't see it through an audio feed.]
[ audio ]
{ A lesson he's learned repeatedly over the centuries; even if he's spent a more than two years in this world and has had no shortage of good experiences - particularly with Mavis - it's something that he's still reminded of fairly often here, as well. }
Try to focus on individual humans. Separate the wheat from the chaff. It is possible, if tedious, and more of a matter of luck.
[ audio ]
The humans I've seen all fear that which is different and hate what they cannot control. Do you have evidence humans brought here will be any different?
[ audio ]
I can only cite personal experience. I've found my place in this world. I'm quite happy with it.
[ audio ]
[No need to tell your story, though. It's no use to Dhaos overall.]
[ audio ]
{ Even if they seem less severe in this world. For that, at least, he's grateful. }
You'll find that's a recurring theme in this world.
Re: [ audio ]
Are you human? Or elven?
[It matters, at least in Aselia. Though, if he lived for four hundred years, initial assumption is he speaks to an elf.]
[ audio ]
[ audio ]
Then I suppose I needn't worry about one such as you abusing that power.
[ audio ]
{ Since death isn't permanent, here. The irony is not lost on him. }
Audio;
[He could cite many times.]
Can you vouch for humans? Do you honestly believe man has hope of redemption?
no subject
Yes, I can. Without a doubt.
no subject
And if their failure was the construction of a weapon that drains the world of mana? That kills the Great Tree capable of producing that mana?
If humans rise again and build a *second* magitech weapon, I will sooner see their kingdom razed to the ground before they use it.
no subject
Mana? Is this the name you give to the energy that is used to form magic in your world?
If one tries to build this weapon, I can guarantee there will be ten others who'll try to protect the Great Tree.
If you have the knowledge they don't have, it's your duty to teach them so they won't make the same mistakes their ancestors did.
no subject
[His tone is starting to turn more agitated.]
For centuries I warned them, as a Prince to Kings, of the dangers magitech has on the world.
They did not listen. Still, they constructed that weapon, still they completed it. And even used it on me.
[Then softens up again, just slightly.]
So forgive me if I am not eager to trust humans.
