[ When she woke up in the pods again, the memories of this place didn't exactly crash back into her. She was still coming down from the high of saving the world, and being drawn from one brutal battle to the next. For a moment, her mind drifted to the thought that she had once again been abducted to another world.

But Weiss's voice reminded her of something she long since forgot. The memories were more like a bubbling brook, slow but surely coming. At the very least, she recognized that she was back in Genessia the instant Weiss spoke.

She fished for her device.

Whoever tunes in will see Micaiah's face, gazing with a mix of emotions, but largely exasperation and amusement. ]

Oh Genessia. Had I known that you call me back, I would have better prepared myself.

[ On the bright side, she knew time was distantly frozen back at home. Well, it was time to re-acclimate herself with this place. ]

Because I've been missing for... [ She checked her device. ] around two years, I think,can anyone fill me in on what's changed since then? I'm pretty sure that whatever job I held back when I lived here has long since disappeared.

I'm sorry to report nothing of especial substance has occurred. At least not as far as the globe is concerned.

[He is trying to change that, perhaps in a big way. But he'd rather not lay stress on any innocent parties just yet.]

[ He was one of the few people she knew well. Good to see a few constants in this ever changing world. ]

Ah, in most ways that's a relief. I suppose though, that it would have been nice to experience some excitement that wasn't drummed up for the beats of war and woe.

[He'll tamp down on that enthusiasm momentarily]

Aheh, ahem, well, peace and excitement are regrettable strangers. The latter so rarely comes without trouble. Sorry to hear of your own.

[He's almost afraid to ask what exactly she got up to.]

But the worst is over. I, and many others, had recently brought an end to the injustices in our world. I had hoped to spend more time rebuilding, but... it'll have to wait until Genessia is done with me.

Hehe, oh dear. Out of the frying pan, into the fire, eh? In that case, I'm very glad to hear it. Perhaps Genessia wanted your tried and true heroism for itself, eh?

Several! Pan's Grocery is closest and they tend to have everything. Fayren's further, but has fresher fruits. Nova City lies the other way, and their goods are as novel as they come. Just looking at them is a challenge in its own right.

[Not the prettiest produce in the world, at least to human eyes.]

Interesting. You've been here before and by the sounds of it a long while ago.

Yet this world decided that for whatever purpose it serves that they wanted you back. Makes me curious I must admit. But I am rambling for the most part because I can't answer your question.

I can't say I understand what Genessia wants with me. But even though I have memories of this place, I still have to start from scratch, it seems.

Considering how long you were gone, I would have very much doubted they would have kept your things during that time.

[ She knows the folly of making wishes, but here it seems more like the type of thing that goes hand in hand with fortune telling. ]

I sometimes worked as a fortune teller.

I csn't say that I was. I used to have visions of the future, but they were sporadic and unreliable. They decreased as the war grew worse.

Though peace has been brought back to my land, I haven't had one since.

So the purpose of having them disappeared, thus probably why you were no longer having them.

There was a goddess who guided me during those times.

Obviously, she did not come with me.

A goddess, huh? Such things were never really something I came across myself.

Then again, such things never existed in my world.

A world untouched by gods?

I can scarcely imagine, and yet we are here. More mysteries for this strange place.

Pretty much. We had Kings and Queen's but no gods. Maybe they had left or maybe they never existed at all.

There are a bunch of mysteries in this place. But that is what makes this world both annoying and interesting at the same time.

[Ten is pinged at this because after Martha having returned back without him - it's been hard. Even if he knows he'll see her again. He still misses her and there's a smile - that hasn't been on his face for a week or so - finally]

[ She actually looks a little shocked from a non-Daien stranger giving her such heartfelt thanks; she hadn't even seen him before, much less heal him. ]

[Ten gives an even bit of a brighter smile with not wasting that and then more thoughtful]

[ Micaiah stews in consternation, but it doesn't help. She frowns. ]

No I don't. I didn't even remember Genessia until I came back here.

[Inwardly - Ten is swallowing hard because that means everything with him and Martha. Or him and Rose or him and Jack for that matter. To be honest, it's not completely surprising but it's difficult to swallow hearing this but not gonna show any of this.]

Last summer the spirits appeared again. This time with flowers on them.

[ The change in subject tells her that he probably didn't like that answer. But there was little to say but the truth; she felt that there was little to gain from mollifying him even if she were better prepared. ]

The spirits?

[ She tried to recall the last incident involving them, if she had even been around. It was doubtful though. ]

Where do they come from?

From the breach. Outside the barriers. The first time it happened the barrier in Fayren was broken.

So they're from beyond the barriers...

[ Her thoughts churned, and more memories, if not quite related, came back. ]

It reminds me, back when I was here, I wanted to dedicate myself into understanding the history of this place. I get the feeling that now, it might be more important than ever.

[Ten gives her a head nod]

[You know just a thought. Though- Ten is mostly referring to the crystals that are now public in the GSRF]

[robin smiled, seeing a familiar face return.] Long time no see. I had left for a year myself at one point, but it seems as though we both have returned.

Robin, it's good to see you! I hope you've been well.

[ Micaiah didn't show excitement easily, but her eyes lit up. ]

Have you seen any of the others that were here with both of us?

I have been well, thank you so much for asking. I could say the same to you, I hope you are settling in okay.

There are many that are still here, yes, but... not the ones that were from the Outrealms like before.

[ Micaiah took that to mean that Ike was no longer here. ]

Though, does that mean Maribelle is here? She was... quite a character, from what I remember.

She is, yes! I haven't talked to her in a while however. She must be quite busy.

[robin shook her head.] I have been working towards getting my bookstore back, it was quite a thriving shop! And with you returning, I will certainly want to stock tomes for you as well.

That would be wonderful, as I don't believe I was carrying mine.

[ Even though there's no longer a lurking war, she'll feel a little safer knowing she can gather light tomes. ]

I'll need to look for employment soon. Do you have any leads? A young man gave me a system to look into, but I'd also like to keep any other options in mind.

What I like to do?

[ She hasn't really been asked a question like that in ages. ]

Um... I like touring nature. It's always held a wonderful splendor for me. While fortune telling has been a means of adapting, I find that I'm rather fond of it as a hobby. I've also taken some interest in history.

You have been gone for two years? Well, that's exactly what she just said, but Cassian is more than a little baffled still. I've met people who have been here for longer even but I don't think I've run into anyone yet who was gone for so long and returned.

[ He had just subconsciously accepted that once people are gone and remain gone for a while, that's it. This will need thinking about. ]

I admit my time gone is an estimate, but it's the best one I can make.

Miss Robin, someone I know, was also gone at least a year, so she tells me.

That's both fascinating and worrisome... and somewhat comforting. I think I'll want to research this further, and bring it up with people I know who have been here far longer than I have. I only just arrived last February.

Are you settling in well so far? I'd think there aren't too many people left from when you were last here.

I'm doing alright. This is actually a little more accommodating than it was last time I was here.

[ She'll remember to get an apartment this time, for one thing. ]

That's good to hear. Do you know already in which town you want to settle... or re-settle, for that matter?

I have my eyes on Fayren. It's the most familiar. I'll make sure to look at the other cities, however.

[ Ideally, the less question on who she is, the better. Despite her world saving, some habits may still die hard. ]
