[The video opens with Mewtwo standing perched atop a building in Fayren, overlooking the bustle going on at the gateway leading into the hub city.]

People of Fayren. I have done some thinking, and some research, and I have a proposition to make. In light of recent events, it occurs to me that each of the cities surrounding the central one are supposed to fall under the protection of a Guardian appointed to oversee the defense and upkeep of the area. I have been living in Fayren for some time now and while some of the other cities have their Guardians taking very active roles in the day to day lives of their respective areas, Fayren has seen nothing.

It is for that reason that I am here now. I believe the time has come to replace whatever layabout has been draining Fayren of its resources with nothing to show for it and instead appoint that title to me.

From what I can tell, yes. However, should there be competition for the position, the only instance I've heard of in this place has been settled by a "simple" vote.

Given what rumors were surrounding that, however, I would hope to seek some other form of resolution.

I dont know much about this place, but its nice to know that diplomacy is an option here. Perhaps in your new position you might be able to insert some sort of countenance to uphold peace?

I have given it some thought, yes. However, it seems that the Fairy Tail guild handles that on its own for the most part. However, I wouldn't be opposed to establishing something a bit more formal.

I appreciate the sentiment but I have to ask...

[He motions to his form, and - most notably - his unmoving mouth.]

When I first reveal myself to a human their general reaction - especially in this place - is one of either fear or awe. You are different in that regard. Why?

I am not human.

[He smiled pleasantly] Rather, I am half human to be simple, but I am more accurately a demon or youkai. Your appearance and abilities are nothing shocking to me though that isn't to say they aren't unique or rare.

You, the city guardian of Fayren?

[She was going to continue that statement but crumbling debris of a building were threatening to fall down a group of individuals. Clearly they were out of their minds for walking to slowly.]

Get out of the way!!!

[She shouted first. But while doing so, she took huge breaths of air and threw cross punches towards the direction of the debris - right, left, right, left and right. Each punch summoned her blue flame which pummeled each debris, leaving nothing but tiny rocks to fall on the people below. Then she looked back at the feed.]

I, Azula, am taking the city's guardianship!

But not today.

[Yes, she may need more research on the matter, but she knew that Fayren was a city which reminded her of her home, and wanted to be a guardian of. Though right now, she can't think of battling this creature on it, because she was not at her optimum strength. Also, she had accumulated many bruises and scratches towards the whole event.]

Instead of wasting your time announcing your silly claim, make sure that any civilian who wishes to evacuate to Fayren is granted access. They can only do so with the help of people with necklaces like ours. Do I make myself clear?

From what I can tell, a Guardian's responsibility is to the city they protect and nothing further. I am quite firmly based in Fayren and have been for some time. You appear to have your hands full else where.

[The video pans out a tad showing that he was currently without his necklace.]

I have already given my necklace to a group of medics from Fayren, and they have been using it to ferry people out of the city far more effectively than I could.

I could take that at face value...

[She gave one quick kick that launched fire towards a falling lamp post. And then looked back at the communicator.]

Or I could say that you're being a coward by doing this.

More than that, you're passing the job to someone else. A shame.

I am simply fulfilling my obligations as Guardian. That being ensuring that whatever destruction is on that side of the gate stays on that side.

I find it rather suspicious that you would claim to be the guardian of this place while forsaking it in favor of some other place.

And yet there's no visible threat there. So you're of no use.

[She pauses to finish off another shot.]

Because this city also has a missing guardian. Unlike Fayren, this one is in jeopardy. Even Nova guardians can see that.

As far as I knew, Miss Kiryuin has only claimed the title of "Deputy" Guardian. The Guardian himself, however, is still tending to his side of the gate. If you are so concerned about the safety of the central hub, perhaps you should claim guardianship of it instead.

It's still remains she's doing more than you are.

[Then she spins once more to fire on a couple of debris.]

I'll deal with you later on. Prepare yourself.

[With that, she ends the feed.]

Fayren seems to be fairly peaceful. What would you do as its Guardian?

I would intend to keep it that way.

[And perhaps build a habitat that would be more suitable to Pokemon should any more show up.]

I'd be interested to know how you intend to mete out justice for any crimes committed.

Considering the abilities I possess, I could easily create punishments that adequately fit the crime without burdening the area with facilities or services.

I can quite literally make a human a prisoner in their own mind if needed. Placing them in an illusory cage would be child's play.

And if that power were to ever be abused? I don't doubt your intentions, but I'm not keen on the idea of nothing to stop you if someone were to gain control of your abilities.

I would sooner die than surrender my will to another again.

You were controlled by someone before?
