Ten feels his psychic awareness is shutting down and doesn't like that but also might - Yup. It's Koishi.

Ten smiles and remarks; "Hallo!" Yes, you will get that piggyback ride. Koishi may sense that someone just went through extreme trauma.

Yes, Koishi every time you hug this alien- you can feel those double heartbeats.

She can certainly sense them. And the weight of centuries they carry. All that seasoning... Hopefully Ten will forgive her if she ever ends up drooling on him.

Though, at the very least, Koishi's presence did seem to have an artificial lightening effect on Ten. Like her anti-psychic presence was gently pulling him back to emotional neutrality. At least with her so close and clingy.

"You seem stormy Mister Doctor." She dropped off of his back, the emotional drain lessening somewhat. "Please don't be stormy. Frowns don't suit you. A smile is more charming."

His smile fades and grows distant;and quietly remarks; "I just came back from dying. Let me walk that off." At a price of course; but at least the price wasn't changing into another form.

[River is out wandering, because she hates sitting still basically ever, especially right now. She's got her backpack over her shoulder, and her vortex manipulator on her wrist, and when she spots him, River springs in his direction. Last time she'd heard anything, she'd felt his death through her connection with the TARDIS, even if she was staying away. Now however that he was up walking around, she found herself doing something a bit unusual: she hugged him just to make sure he was alive.]

[Ten is rather surprised at the random hug. Not that he'll push her away - it's a good confused and when he notices who this is - figures that Mr. Bowtie must have said something to her. Ten stands - holding River gently and letting her feel his double heart beats - and hides how he's sort of bothered that one of her hearts is missing but - he's glad that her heart is beating. He's sorry. He's so sorry. Hiding the sorry; puts a hand on her shoulder - remarks calmly looking directly into her eyes with his brown eyes]

[He is glad that River is sort of opening up to him - shame it seems to have to be under dire circumstances but it is what it is]

[river isn't lying. She's doing as well as she can do. After all river has done this before too many times to count with her parents and the problem, in her mind was that she let herself become too comfortable with having them around. If she hadn't done that then she would have been better with everything.

Giving him a smile, river just keeps her palm on his chest for a moment, feeling for that double pulse still before she asks softly]
