[Okay, he's read the pamphlet and watched the video so he's up to date. After suppressing his ki and flying high above the bay to get a good look around, he's still not impressed.

This isn't Earth, he knows that. It's no other planet he's been to. There's some familiarity here, maybe some familiar ki, but they're not at full power and faint. It sets him more on edge than comforts, actually.

Whatever's responsible knows that he's here, and Vegeta was never one for hiding. So, pissed to hell and back, he activates a video from high above the bay.]

Whose idea of a joke is this?

[Translation: Whose ass does he have to kick to get back home?]

[Have a very familiar, and slightly surprised-yet-relieved face in return on video. The background is obviously in one of the cities, but the most high-tech one given the style of architecture and what can be seen in the background.]

No clue, but if you figure it out, I'll help with beating them up. There'll probably be a line for that, actually...

[Because what is a normal greeting for this family, seriously?]

Are you still in the main city, Father?

[Is that-... He doesn't have to squint. He knows who that is. And Trunks isn't entirely shocked to see him.]

I am.

[Short answer. Sorry, kid. He's still very unsure about this situation. Are you really Trunks? He can't sense you well enough to be certain.]

[Don't worry, Vegeta'll sense him soon enough as the background behind him is shifting. Mostly since Trunks is moving towards the Barrier between Nova City and Genessia City.]

Good, stay there. I'll find you. Mai and I got here about 3 weeks ago.

[The relative 'peace' has done him good, in that it is not at all long before Trunks makes it to the Barrier, is through, and then drops any masking of his ki. Likewise, he can feel Vegeta's--and it's easy enough to kick off the ground, into the sky, and heading from the north towards the Bay.]

[Vegeta blinks at the sudden rush of a very familiar ki. That is definitely his son.

He powers up and shoots off into that direction, planning to at least meet him halfway.]

[Oh that makes it much much easier to home in on him, and despite the fact it's a city--they're relatively high enough that it's not at all long before they can see each other. Which is when Trunks goes back to masking his ki. Another second or two, and then they're face-to-face.]

I am sad you're here, but also glad to see you, Father.

[He's not trying to hide that, either.]

[He's glad to see Trunks, too, but the situation is a bit worrying. He only has a million questions.]

Trunks...

Are you well? Do you know why we're here?

[Trunks looks well and is smiling, so that's all good news.

[There's definitely a hint of surprise--naked on his face before he hides it again. That definitely felt like his Father's ki, and certainly considering how Trunks had arrived in the past before, some concern might be new but welcome...

Still--Vegeta must be shaken if he's actually asking.]

I wish I had answers to the latter question, but I know about as much as you do, and as what was given in the hologram shortly after waking up. Mai and I arrived about 3 weeks ago, like I said. We'd just left the past though, so there is definitely something messing with time as well as space and dimensions.

It's not just us either, Mom's here. Which is part of why I'm glad you are, even if I wish we weren't here here.

[Does that make sense? doesn't matter.]

Goku's here too. So is Android 17...

[There's a blink, and a sweatdrop.]

Who, like his sister back in the past, has apparently reformed. Also Cell--but killing him won't do us any good, as he'll just come back apparently.

[That at least covers the basics.]

[Vegeta catches the surprise and literally doesn't care. This whole place is freaky, and he wants to be sure.

His eyes narrow at the mention of Bulma being here, too. No reaction to Kakarot's name. Furrowed brows about 17. A straight up scowl about Cell.]

You've just gone back to the future before I arrived here. [And he's wearing the outfit he uses to train under Whis, so no question about which jump he's talking about.] What about the others? Do you know how long they've been here?

[He does not like that Kakarot got here first... He's more upset about that than the presence of 17 and Cell.]

[That is far more like the Vegeta Trunks is used to, even given recent events.]

Mom's been here about 4 months, but from my point of view, we'd just left her and you and the others an hour ago, when I arrived. Goku's been here longer, but I don't know how long.

[All said while shaking his head, as Trunks has no clue about the others.]

[Four months!? How is that possible? And Kakarot was here for even longer!?

Vegeta is... unhappy.]

And there's no way out?

[That's a stupid question. They would have already left if that were the case. He shakes his head with a growl.] Never mind. I was just with you, Mai, Kakarot, and your mother. Whatever this is, it's messing with time and space on a personal level. [He just doesn't like anything about any of this. Geez.]

And I'm sure Kakarot's used the extra time for training. [That's just dripping with sarcasm because of course he has. Of course he's surpassed Vegeta again. This is such bullshit.]

Actually, I think he works at a bakery most of the time?

[At least he does part of the time, as Trunks usually ran into Goku in passing. Then again, Trunks himself was out exploring things a lot of the time, getting his bearings in Attleton and Nova City, and expanding somewhat to include Genessia City a bit more recently.]

I mean, I ran into him on the way to the holoplaza once, but other than that we've seen each other but otherwise I've been exploring and getting my bearings.

Works at a bakery!? [Of course. Of course, he does. Why did Vegeta dare to think anything different?

But he knows Kakarot must have surpassed him in his time here. He just does.

Vegeta rolls his eyes and forges on.] Very well. Where's Bulma? [If anyone has the slightest idea of how to get out, it's her, but she obviously doesn't have a full plan yet.

And he's still unreasonably pissed about the four months thing but he's trying to stamp down on that. At least Kakarot was here with her the whole time, which is a really sucky thing to be glad about but there it is.]

[Give Trunks a second to try and focus and find her... Except she's not in Genessia City, and with the Barrier in place it's hard for him to be certain she's still in Nova City. Which is an easy problem to fix.]

We're staying in Nova City.

[Never mind they're still flying--it's normal for them. Heading for Nova City's gate, and once through and past the barrier, Trunks is pausing again to reach out his senses.

Bulma's ki might not be as strong as others, but to Trunks it was as familiar as his own in many ways. Letting a soft smile come to his face, and nodding.]

This way... We're living in the Heaven's Court apartments, and she works for Aster Technologies currently.

[Y'know, just gonna be speaking while homing in on his mother's Ki signature.]
