GENESSIA CITY (a)
[ Stumbling his way down the streets is a small lavender-haired boy who looks like he's been a little roughed up in a fight or at the very least like he fell off a cliff. With scratches on his face and his clothes torn here and there, he rubs at his cheek with the back of his hand and squints some as he tries to make sense of his surroundings since coming out of that weird pod he woke up in. He... doesn't recognize any of this. ]

How'd I even get here? Where's Goten and Piccolo?

[ He comes to a stop at an intersection and stares rather blankly at the various streets and shops, all which look so unfamiliar to him. He can't sense Goten or Piccolo, not even Gohan and it has the small half-Saiyan wander his way across the street... totally ignoring the red light and the car coming for him that he just steps over the hood of like it's no big deal... making the driver have to swerve out of sheer WHAT IS A CHILD DOING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND ON MY CAR???

Trunks, unbothered by this, crosses to the other side of the street and holds at his stomach as he continues down the street; someone's feeling real hungry with that rumbling going on there. ]

I'm so hungry... I need food.

[ And so, when he's not wobbling his way down the streets, he'll make his way into whatever fast food joint, café, restaurant, WHATEVER and go up to the first table he sees with some food on it... and start eating it. Even if it's yours. Sorry, not gonna stop him from stuffing his face. ]

GENESSIA CITY (b)
[ It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's a small boy flying through the sky over Genessia City. He seems to be looking for something or someone as he swoops down every now and then and flies right up to various people on the streets - maybe even you - looking close and hard at each and every face that he comes up to. ]

Nope. Don't know you. Or you. Or you.

[ He gives a sigh as he goes from person to person, seeming more and more disappointed with every one he flies right up to, totally ignoring any gawking or WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING from them.

Tapping down, he seems a bit defeated and frustrated before he just curls small hands into fists and shouts out to the sky. ]

What's going on?! I don't know anyone here!

[ You'll have to forgive the dramatics but he's a kid and has no idea what's going on. ]

Who: Goku, Trunks, Bulla
What: three Saiyans spar, and Bulla asks to learn a certain technique
Where: Gravity Training Room - Capsule Corp. - Nova City
When: some time in the afternoon

Whether it's helping his friends to get stronger, staving off boredom, or just having fun, Goku's first activity of choice is usually going to be training. (much to the chagrin of his wife) In today's case - it's a mix of the first and last reasons - Bulla and Trunks asked him to train, and he wasn't about to say no!

They had reached a lull in the training, with Goku taking a break after taking turns sparring with Trunks and Bulla. Still, it's not long before he's back up and ready for more.

"Okay - so what do you wanna do next?"

Hi, everyone! I'm back from the Dream Docks.

[He might not have told a lot of people that he was going to the Dream Docks, but it's the thought that counts, right? Previously, the idea of using it hadn't even crossed his mind - the universe hadn't been destroyed twenty minutes after he arrived here, so things must have worked out with the Tournament of Power. However, Broly's arrival (and the fact that Broly knew him) got him interested in finding out what else he missed.]

So what'd I miss? [He had been gone for the past three days, after all.]

Oh, an' Broly, I know all about when you came to Earth now! Last I remember, I was leavin' Vampa, so if you ever want to train or somethin', you can call me through this! Ooh, an' do you know how to sense ki? [That seems like as good of a place as any to start.]

18 February 2019 @ 06:38 pm
[It was a relatively calm and normal day, but that wouldn't last past noon as an explosion echoed throughout the area surrounding The Bay. A certain eight foot tall man had woken up, crammed in one of the pods and immediately blasted his way out. The effect on the surrounding area was minimal, more sound than damage. Of course anyone with the ability to sense Ki levels would probably TASTE the spike in Ki following said explosive sound. But aside from the actual pod, the only casualties of the explosion were the items in the pod with him.]

[A few moments after the explosion, a large shirtless man, scars adorning his chest, face, and arms would stand at the entrance of the bay, looking out on the citywith a look in his eyes reminiscent of a wild and scared beast, uncertain if they should leave the relative safety of the cave.]

Merry Christmas, everyone; God bless.

[A shorter holiday greeting than years past, but Ted's been shrinking lately. Whether that's a general reduction towards nothing, or honing and transforming into a singular, purposeful point was difficult to tell. Either way, the holidays were a smaller matter, given his restraint. He was spending it as alone as he could, and had few gifts to give but the gift of philosophical discussion. Behold!]

For those who know some philosophy, I'd like to pick your brains on the subject of the soul and its powers and attributes. I know there are many here with strange spiritual capabilities, so let's limit the list to the general and universal. Here's what I know and hope to expand upon:

  • It is the seat of the will and makes all choice and decision possible. Granted, not all wills are free, but to have will, free or otherwise, the soul's required.
  • The soul of men and creatures like men is de facto immortal, though not indestructible; God might annihilate one wicked enough.
  • Sensitive powers require soul and body both; should they separate, out goes sense.
  • The soul's powers are five: vegetative, sensitive, appetitive, locomotive, and intellectual.

[He pauses there, thinking in what ways a corrupted soul's powers might be blunted or lost. His brow furrows for a few seconds before returning to holiday equability.]

  • All wills-slash-souls desire happiness, which is convenient, as that's their end.
  • It is more perfect for a--mannish--soul to be composite; that is, joined to a body, and to understand with the body's aid. It may be separated from the body, and understand in a different way, but that is not ideal.

[Again, another pause. Like many poor extroverts, Ted can't think much without talking; hence the habit of muttering to himself. So the thoughts this stirred brought troubling news and disturbed his countenance again. It would explain why disembodied spirits were so often troublesome; they weren't as they ought to be.]

And...suppose seven, being the perfect number, would be the perfect amount to end on.

  • The relation between soul and body is not accidental; again, for mannish creatures, they were...created together.

[This is the most complicated, and once again, Ted's face shows his deepest doubt yet. Genessia had a lot of fun transplanting their souls into differing bodies with all the ease of drivers getting into new cars. He's read of princes becoming frogs, of course, but this wasn't that. Months ago he was a werewolf; well, was his human soul predisposed to the lupine? Or was it all simply farcical? More than that, they had the capacity to switch bodies altogether. Spiritually speaking, how could that be? If souls and bodies were as sympathetic and co-created as philosophy held, such a switch should've been far more violent than it was. Combine that with what they'd found out about their bodies by the GSRF experiments, as well as how easy it was to return to them upon death and the connection they supposedly had between soul and body...it was all looking very tenuous. Perhaps they weren't at all who they supposed.

The pause is awkward. If he's talking philosophy, shouldn't he share these thoughts? Well, it's Christmas, the season for cheer and goodwill. Not existential doubt. The clever would, no doubt, intuit all that anyway. No need to discomfort others.]

That should do for a foundation. Per the season, if you're in a charitable mood, I'd like little better than to contribute as you can. Go under the Mercy.

[Well, that sucked, waking up in a new place for the umpteenth millionth time. But this time it wasn't some planet to be conquered or waking up in what was essentially Hell. Given the information presented to him, as despite the appearance he was still keen to learn what the hell was going on in his surroundings, this wasn't... some new brand of Hell for him. Huh.

Which might be why that screen is flicking on with the appearance of this man probably being a little more intimidating than most. Even if he's merely got his arms crossed and leaning against a wall of a building not far from the Bay.]

Useful information to have right out of the gate, appreciated. But two questions extra.

One: Anyone know the logistics of being, what I can only assume, alive again? I seem to have the whole flesh and blood and breathing thing again but I'd rather not press that luck in case there's a catch to it.

Two: Nearest clothing store, this weather is garbage and clearly this isn't doing anything to help with the temperature.

[A short dark-haired man appears disgruntled after having to figure everything out on his own because pride would never allow him to beg anyone's assistance. No matter how inept he is with technology.]

I was informed these would be my temporary accommodations until I found employment. [Vegeta rubs his temple like it would rid him of the annoyance all together. It didn't. He was still there, along way from home, with little to no idea how he got there. If he's calm at all it's because he's grown used to being uncomfortable. ]

This place is hardly suitable for someone of my caliber, and I must leave it at once! There isn't even any space to train. How can anyone live like this?

As much as it displeases me to say, I will find a job quickly so I can be free of this place.

[He looks around the small room like it's going to be different than the previous times he's looked behind him. Vegeta clicks his tongue and ends the video feed in frustration. The point was to reach out for job opportunities, but he can't bring himself to request anything from strangers in a world he knows nothing about.]

[That rasping threat sends chill through Bulla’s body. Heart pounding rapidly, she takes out her device and turns on the video feed. She’s doing what she can to control her breath. Maybe if she times things just right, she can grab Shigaraki’s wrist and snap it before his powers rapidly decompose the flesh on her neck. The camera shows her at an odd angle for a moment, and the view is shaky, despite her best efforts to hide how frightened she is. Her voice, however, is defiant as she hands her phone over to him.]

Tomura Shigaraki lost his phone and thinks threatening to kill someone is a super awesome way to fix that problem. Here. Whatever. Knock yourself out.

Don’t flatter yourself kid.

[Shigaraki hands the device off to someone else that’s never seen on camera as the focus comes to settle on the hand-obscured face of the blue haired man.]

In my world, society is propped up on the backs of heroes. People with powers and abilities that society has deemed good and useful, while those not so lucky to be born gifted in ways that society accepts are expected to languish in the scraps of the chosen.

[As Shigaraki talks, Bulla starts looking for the opportunity to throw him off. Her eyes are darting around the room as she weighs her options. With those powers of his and his hand on her throat, one wrong move could kill her in a matter of seconds.]

And at the center of it all is the ‘pillar of peace and order.’ All Might. Because of All Might, the masses can go about their days, content in the feeling that if anything bad were to happen, All Might would save the day. People turn away from those that society tramples down, labeling them as villains. Well, I’m here to remind you all that nobody is safe.

[He pauses, gesturing to the camera that recenters on Bulla.]

In my time here, I’ve done my homework. There are a few people that have powers rivaling All Might, and this girl is one of them. As you can see, though, she doesn’t look too eager to fight me.

[He flexes the one finger next to her neck that isn’t quite touching her yet. Bulla eyes that finger warily now that the attention is back on her.]

But don’t get the wrong idea, I’m not out to kill anyone. Yet. No, I just want to drive home my point… To all you heroes out there; you’re not going to be able to stop me.

[ Even though Hela doesn't know exactly how she got there and she's incredibly pissed about how her last family reunion went, she saunters around the cities like everywhere is her own personal catwalk. She finally settles on Everglade to make her first post, leaving on top of a half-ruined wall the device she has been given, whatever that thing is called. They don't have smartphones in Niflheim, or Asgard for what matters.

The woman is the video is raven-haired, wears dark clothing and the kind of makeup that would make a raccoon jealous. She's beautiful in the way dangerous predators always are, the kind of beauty that is better seen from a safe distance. ]

I want to talk for the person responsible for this realm, as it is my wish to thank them close and personal for bringing me here. [ There’s a smile on Hela’s lips but the tone of her voice shows anything but real happiness. She has a rather deep, powerful voice for a woman and her eyes are sharp. ] I am Hela, Goddess of Death, Odin's first bo...oh, what now!?

[ Her face suddenly has the exasperated look of someone who has been interrupted one too many times in the past. Hela looks down at whatever is bothering her and sure enough, there's a creepy looking doll now clinging to her shin. After a second, it tilts its head up in jerky motions...and Hela has had enough.

She leans over, holding a hand over the doll's head as if she's about to lovely pat it., only to summon one of her necroswords. It stabs the doll right in the head and through its body until it gets impaled on the ground, tiny arms flailing around. Hela's powers might be dampened after what happened to Asgard but she's pleased to see that some things work as they should. She straightens up, grinning more sincerely this time. ]

As I was saying...

A: Zamasu vs. The Hologram: Bad Lifechoices
[The look on Zamasu's face is one between surprise, annoyance and confusion when he makes his way outside of The Bay. After he has checked the items inside the box he cannot make any other conclusion that someone is expecting him to live here for a while.

As if he were a mortal's equal.

At first he thought that Gowasu wanted to test him. That the old man thought it would be a good lesson for him to stay amongst mortals so he could understand them better. But alas, even something aggravating like that is not as horrible as the truth.

Kidnapping.

So allow him to glower at the yapping mortal on that hologram because, honestly, that is downright sinful. And he is not the type of god who takes kindly to the sins of mortals. And especially not when said sins are aimed at his godly person. Gods are above mortals to begin with.

And anyone can see how his right hand starts to glow all up until the moment it has the shape of a sword. He is quite ready to destroy this mortal and the thing she calls 'Schnee Company'. Whether if it is a good idea? Probably not.]

B: Flying around, trying to get home, finds Everglade instead
[Zamasu thought he had mastered the art of teleportation. Well, if he did it sure is not working here. And flying around at high speed is not making things any better for him. There are just cities and smaller towns. All tell-tale signs of advanced mortal life.

Absolutely disgusting.

Finally he lands on the rooftop of a higher building that stands in one of the smaller towns. It is getting dark outside and the streets seem to get foggier with every second that passes. It is the most quiet town he has seen so far and finally he decides to jump down, landing on his feet with absolute ease.

Zamasu finds it difficult to sense anything and for a moment he just stands there, looking around himself…]

A couple days ago, there was an incident at a Genessia city arcade. "Hero-in-training" Katsuki Bakugou attacked a civilian seemingly over a video game. What ensued was a chaotic scene where multiple explosions were detected, resulting in large scale property damage and injuries to civilians.

Just remember. This is a 'hero.'

[Attached to the text is a picture of Bakugou, explosion coming from his hand as a crowd of people try to scatter away from him.]

[For once, Orihime is making this video NOT in the bakery, but just outside of the Genessia City Guardian's office, wearing her new silvery-lavender hoodie because yo she is on patrol.]

Good news! The new Cake Town bakery in Attleton is scheduled for September 14th, and to celebrate, we're going to have the ultimate grand opening event, with prizes and free cake!

[She holds up a fist, dark eyes flashing.]

Get ready for the Colosseum Combat Crash!!!!

[+_+]

It'll be a round robin style of tournament at the Attleton Colosseum, and I'll be gathering sponsors and prizes to aware to the competitors. The higher you finish, the sooner you get to choose from the prize rack, so first place gets first choice! Feel free to let me know if there's a certain prize you want me to add and I'll do what I can to get it there. Sponsors can donate prizes too if they'd like!

The usual rules would apply: don't kill or maim your opponent, don't go out of bounds... That's about it! I was able to rent the Colosseum for the whole day, and I'll also be on hand to heal competitors after each round so it's fair. Spectators are welcome, and there will be baked refreshments! If you'd like to sign up as a competitor, just let me know.

There's plenty of time to start training, so I hope to see you all there. Good luck!

[She bows slightly, beaming. Because why wouldn't cake and combat go together?]

[A lot has happened since Goku last addressed the community at large, mostly because he tends to forget where his device is. His arch-enemy showed up (and left), his birth father showed up (and left), his rival showed up, he got a job, he moved to another city...

He didn't put anything on the network for any of that, so whatever he's here to talk about must be important, right?]

Hey, everyone! Who's the strongest person you've ever fought? It could be here or back home; I just wanna hear about 'em!

[...Of course not; it's Goku. Training against the same people in the Holodeck again and again can get old, especially since Goku can't quite figure out how to get the holograms of Beerus, Whis, Monaka, Arale, and the other powerhouses to fight at full power. Either he gets a wider variety of opponents to face in there or he gets to fight an actual person - either way, he gets what he wants!]

VIDEO

[It had been some time since Mai made her presence known over the network.  Time for her to settle in, so to speak.  Adjust to a more peaceful life, where she had a bed to be slept in nightly.  Food readily available without having to scavenge.  Friends and the closest thing she had to a 'family' nearby.  More of whom continued to arrive the longer she was here.]

[Somehow, all of that was stranger to her than the idea of being 'trapped' in an alternate universe.]

I was wondering...  [A pause, and she pressed her lips together in thought.  Knowing exactly what she wanted to ask, but attempting the most diplomatic means of phrasing her question.]  ...if there were any current prevailing theories or ongoing experiments with regards to the means of time travel and inter-dimensional transport that seems to be responsible for bringing so many individuals from so many different worlds and points in time here?

[A conversation that had begun with a select few, and was perhaps more interesting to her at this time than...almost anything else.  For all her years as the head commander of Earth's resistance force, her scientific mind had never wavered.]

ACTION

[Mind lost in thought, the (apparently) young woman could be found walking the streets of Genessia later that morning, pausing just long enough to collect herself a copy of the local newspaper.]

[She'd been hearing some very interesting stories about a certain paperboy as of late, and as such, was hesitant to subscribe to the delivery service...but deemed the information located within to be important enough to still seek out each issue.  Even if it meant taking a seat on a nearby bench and reading in public, rather in the privacy of the residence she currently shared with Bulma and the others.]

Let's see...weather...horoscopes...bounties?

01 June 2018 @ 09:37 pm
[Okay, he's read the pamphlet and watched the video so he's up to date. After suppressing his ki and flying high above the bay to get a good look around, he's still not impressed.

This isn't Earth, he knows that. It's no other planet he's been to. There's some familiarity here, maybe some familiar ki, but they're not at full power and faint. It sets him more on edge than comforts, actually.

Whatever's responsible knows that he's here, and Vegeta was never one for hiding. So, pissed to hell and back, he activates a video from high above the bay.]

Whose idea of a joke is this?

[Translation: Whose ass does he have to kick to get back home?]

Open Action prompts April 26th-May 18thish.

[Action-Nova City]

Trunks was very grateful for Bulma letting him and Mai stay with her. Again. Nor was he going to complain about more time with his mother. Given everything that had happened...it was painful, but worth it too.

But it does mean he is restless. So best to start exploring his new 'home' for now, even if he's less than thrilled about that whole kidnapped thing. But that just means he needs to know his surroundings, so he can first—survive here, and second---maybe be helpful in trying to figure out what's going on.

Out to the streets of Nova City it is, mostly walking and exploring. Some of it he was used to, given it resembled the 'past' of his world more than the destruction of his own time—and it was wonderful. But it was also new, not having to take cover or constantly be on the look out while above ground. Several times he found himself remembering to breathe. Moving about on foot, making note of locations that seemed useful or important, just getting his bearings.

[OOC: Trunks is open to be run into, and if you want a specific prompt feel free to let me know. He'll be checking mostly official buildings like the city hall, the museum, etc. Also probably the Holoplaza.]

[Action-Attleton]

Nova City wasn't the only place to explore though, and Trunks had already made at least one contact in Attleton. Along with getting the basic explanation and expectations of conduct. So he alternated exploring Nova City with Attleton; and it was a contrast. A good contrast though, as Attleton seemed...boring almost. Which was a pleasant surprise.

[OOC: Trunks is open to be run into, and if you want a specific prompt feel free to let me know. He'll probably be found checking out the restaurants, the Colliseum, and the Truth Emporium out of curiosity.]

[Attleton City Guardian Office]
[OOC: Closed to Attleton Guardians, Trunks Brief, Mai, Bulma Brief]

The small sheriff's office matched the rest of the town, and brought a smile to Trunks' face. Also shoving down any nerves, as he'd been invited and was looking forward to this as well. Stepping in, heading for the main desk or whomever seemed to be good to ask questions of.

“Excuse me,” Soft-spoken, with a little half-bow. “I was hoping to speak with Mr. Andor? We spoke over the network before.” A pause. “...if it's a bad time though, I can come back.”

[A pale and alien face that might be familiar to some for an eternity ago now peers out of people's screens once more. It is the face  of one pleasantly amused at finding himself here again]

"Ah, Genessia....To think I, The great Freeza had forgotten you..... Being sent back to Hell must have erased the memory. But that is all in the past now."

[He address his audience now.]

"Hello again,  ladies and gentleman of this strange sealed off world. For those of you who do not remember me, I am Freeza, the infinitely powerful and wise ruler on Universe 7 of which I just happened to save recently after a long and arduous ordeal.  And who knows? I may have save your universe as well from being wiped out by that watermelon-head god child?  Which means you may own me a tremendous debt..."

[Freeza has been here for a while now and let us say he been thinking of the implications of his recent actions and to make use of it, whether the facts of it are true or false...]

"But I know how you can reward me.... Elect I, Freeza as your Emperor of all Genessia.  That shouldn't be too much of a bother right? I would so hate for any unpleasantness to occur..."
