[Okay, he's read the pamphlet and watched the video so he's up to date. After suppressing his ki and flying high above the bay to get a good look around, he's still not impressed.

This isn't Earth, he knows that. It's no other planet he's been to. There's some familiarity here, maybe some familiar ki, but they're not at full power and faint. It sets him more on edge than comforts, actually.

Whatever's responsible knows that he's here, and Vegeta was never one for hiding. So, pissed to hell and back, he activates a video from high above the bay.]

Whose idea of a joke is this?

[Translation: Whose ass does he have to kick to get back home?]

[ Well, she hadn't ever seriously expected him to get a job before. And it wasn't necessary back home anyway, but she's definitely surprised he doesn't think it's beneath him.

Though, his comment about training gives her an idea. ]

Hey, you know what, I think there's a dojo here where people learn martial arts. Maybe you could do something like that! You liked showing off for that kid from Universe 6, after all.

[ Sounds like something he is not into but would be really good at it if he managed to not kill someone. ]

I'm not exactly the teacher type, don't you think? [ There might have been a little bit of a growl there... ]

[ His growl is pretty cute, so that's definitely not convincing her of anything. ]

I don't know, you might surprise yourself if you try. And really, unless you become a bodyguard or one of the city guardians, I don't think you'll find too many way to get paid to fight.

[ She points across the street, to the one of the taller mirrored buildings in Nova City's skyline. ]

[ She's just remarkable at turning conversations around, isn't she? Vegeta eyes the building, more or less unmoved.

A guardian, maybe. That seems to take time to work up to, though. Bodyguard, no. What if the person he was protecting deserved it? Vegeta has a past with wrecking people he hates, useful or not.

So he scowls at the last remaining choice, vowing to take a look around for himself later. ] I'll consider it.

[ She got him away from the subject of Goku, and that's all that matters! ]

Yeah, it's only your first day here, I guess you shouldn't jump into anything too quickly.

[ Once they get across the street she'll lead the way inside, and start through the lobby toward the elevators. ]

I might need your help testing something too, so maybe it would be better if you were around more for a while.

[ Like he's going to forget about Kakarot!

Instead of keeping on the same job conversation, he raises his eyebrow at her request. ]

Of course, you put me in one of your experiments less than an hour after I've shown up. Fine. What is it? [ Please say a way home. ]

[ She turns to him after pressing the elevator button. She's grinning a really self-satisfied grin too. ]

You sure you want to take that tone with the brilliant genius who is almost finished building a new gravity machine?

[ As long as he doesn't think too hard about the fact that it's already almost finished, everything should be smooth sailing for the rest of the conversation. Right? ]

It's pretty strong too, so it has to be one of you guys for testing. Anyone else'd get crushed.

[ She seems mostly unbothered by that though! ]
