[It was the first thing to come out of the young man's mouth, while he didn't mean it in a bad way, it came across as such more than likely. Currently, he was still in the commons but had only just gotten his job and apartment situation sorted. So he was leaning back on his bed with the device in his hands.]

I've never had to figure out things with money before, so this is a whole new experience for me. But I guess I will put it down for an interesting experience. [An annoying one, but interesting never the less.]

I should also ask for general commoner knowledge of various things because admittedly. A lot of this will be new to me. Kind of like a fish out of water.

[So this was one of the places he was going to be working at. This was where he would be getting an agent who will help him get work and such. Though as Kaoru looked at a piece of paper, he was admittedly a tiny bit confused. he recalled only really signing up to be a model because that was something, so when he had read the letter and saw the word idol and words training and a name. He was beyond baffled.

So he had to come here to meet the person who would be training him in that area. He just didn't know who he would be looking out for.]

[It was his first day at work as a personal shopper and honestly, he was a little excited about it. He got to decide what was a good idea for the person and what wasn't and admitted, he liked to have that power of helping them look their best.

So whenever he heard someone he turned his head with a smile.]

You could start by asking politely for help. Most commoners respond better to that.

Ah, I guess I could have asked more polite. My apologies for that.

[At least he was aware of it. But at the same time, he was so worried about other things, he kind of forgot to think about it a little more before speaking.]

Both. Sort of. I mean my brother and I were without parents for long periods of time, but we always had people around. [Workers really.] But the latter is something I was used to before now.

Hmmm... You'll want to learn budgeting. Know how much money you earn, list all the expenses such as rent and bills and then budget your disposable income. Your estimates will be off in the first couple of months but it helps to prevent running out of money when the month is barely half over.

[ He falls silent, thinking for a moment. ]

You'll want to avoid impulse buys. And think before getting a pet, they can get expensive.

[ Which is advice he never listened to, Kay and him basically work only to feed their army of pets. ]

Oh! I know about budgeting...I think a friend of mine would do something like that. Like, buy stuff that was on sale.

[Avoid impulse buys...well that would be a little hard, but he was already well aware he would lack money in general for things anyway. Not with the money he earned right now.]

I wouldn't actually have money in the beginning of the month. As much as there are cheaper places I really didn't like this apartments... So I ended up in an apartment that pretty much costs my whole paycheck. [he paused for a moment as he thought about it.] I know I should downgrade, but I also don't want to go into a place I dispiese and wouldn't want to stay in.

Outside of Keeping track of what you have, and the cost of what you need, and avoiding impulse buys... There are quite a few ways to save money.

Homecooked meals tend to be cheaper than eating at a restaurant all the time. Cheaper still are instant meals, but...instant meals can be pretty unhealthy.

Other than that, keeping an eye on sales and collecting coupons are both good ways to save a bit of money.

What can one do if one can make themselves ill by cooking? Had that happen last time, but it could have also been because I wasn't used to the type of food I was eating.

My Mum has super rich tastes, but since my Dad died when I was a baby, she learned to do everything on basically nothing.

And I racked up so much debt as a teenager with my first boyfriend I was working some really terrible jobs.

You may have to cut down to bare minimum expenses. Pure necessities. And cheaper... everything.

[ Emerald was not the type of person who would ever in a million years hire a fashion consultant, personal shopper, whatever. So by any and all means, anyone in the store would recognize her as a "new client" at minimum, star of the hit telenovela series from a while back, Corazón Rebelde de Fayren on PrimeTime Television, at best. Even if she hadn't done anything in the few months since it stopped running, she still got the occasional recognition. Mostly to her chagrin, since she'd mostly been talked into that by Dave and a nice commission paycheck and something to waste her time a while back. At least she wasn't known for what she was actually here for- decent jewelry in her pocket (likely not getting purchased) and the wallets of any employees she came into contact with.

But if she was going to do that, she had to get in first, and that meant hiring services. ]

It's not that complicated. Mostly we walk around the shop and see what there is. I help you figure out what you want if you want that by giving advice of what might suit you. Like your hair. It's beautiful and there are certain colours I would suggest you avoid because of it.

Now he had a new 'student' to look out for. At least he had the wiggle room to deny Kaoru if he didn't meet standards. It was possibly because Ai accidentally advertised himself as a strict teacher that he was even in this situation.
