[ Showing emotions in public. Not really something Cassian is comfortable with. Vulnerability, even less so. Yet to leave office without any acknowledgment at all feels wrong, so after much rewriting, he ends up with a short written message, one last PSA after all these administrative memos he has spammed everyone with for a year. ]

On my last day as Guardian of Attleton, I would like to thank our citizens for their trust and support. It has been a great joy and honor to serve Attleton for two terms, and I'm proud of what we have achieved together. None of these successes would have been possible without my Deputies current and past going well above and beyond their duty every day. They, most of all, have my gratitude; Attleton can be proud of them. I would also like to thank my fellow Guardians and Deputies, Attleton's mayor and the Neighborhood Watch, as well as the many citizens who have helped us in one way or another and made this more than a workplace.

Please continue giving your support to the Attleton Guardian's Office and my successor.

[ Rather than answering to the message immediately, Kay sends his oricorio Jedha. The bird pokemon greets Cassian with a little dance and then produces an orange rose from between his feathers and handles it to the man. ]

[ Awww! Cassian is first baffled, then amused, and finally just smiling sappily when Jedha presents him with the rose. ]

Thank you, Jedha. You did well. That was a beautiful dance. We should send you a messenger.

[ He runs his fingers gently over the Oricorio's head before picking up his phone. ]

[ Jedha makes a happy cooing noise back at Cassian, pleased with the petting. Then, after giving bow, he left him to chat on his phone. ]

It was a good speech. It deserved a good gift.

[The urge to say something particularly foul is upon the tip of his tongue but he won't. Not now at least. Instead of needless sarcasm, Augustine offers some poetic words for this former guardian.]

All good things must come to an end but we know to cherish such fond memories. I trust that Attleton will be well protected in your absence. You've set a high standard for others to follow but follow they will in your honor.

Let us hope the other prospect Guardians of the other city-states will follow your example.

Hello Rapunzel, how are you? I'm actually planning to keep busy, but maybe. Explorations would be nice. And I did promise Weiss that I would consider helping her GCRF once I'm no longer Guardian.
