I'm new here and I got the speech about this place, but I didn't really get to ask any questions, so I'm going to ask them here.

Does this place have problems with angry spirits that run around trying to kill people after dark every night?

Oh, that's good. I was in a city where that was a big problem. My magic was good for defending against it, though.

I do use it, yeah. Um...are there places that will hire a kid for a job? I can read books written for adults so I don't really want to go to school and be bored learning stuff I already know.

I don't know if there are any, but if you can't find anything within the month, there is a place that that takes care of children.

Well, there are vampires and werewolves there, and maybe other stuff. I imagine if anything, ghosts are there too. And if you're aren't a fighter, it makes it hard to travel in the Everglade.

I know magic, yes. I'm not any good at healing magic whatsoever, but I can do some other stuff.

[Some of which is absolutely terrible. Fortunately, his kind can cast elemental spells and pass for human, appearance-wise, if they're strong enough.]

It can be a problem now and then, but before I showed up here, I was in a city where it happened every night. My magic was really useful for protecting against it.

The Doctor and I keep debatin' pet theories. Is there a consciousness, is it accidental, there's way too much common ground for it to be random, but it's also too guided to be an individual manipulating it.

Only patterns so far -- and mind you that makes the Doctor laugh and call me -- what's that phrase Mirajane uses too? "Abundantly human." That's the nice way they both put it. [Snorts.] Anyway... only patterns near as I can tell is that anyone with a propensity for multiple universe overlap AND friends or family here is more likely. Sort of like a risk factor. The more of them you got, the greater odds. [Shrinks the chart back down.] And so far, that's it.

Oh, but there's a lot of people who should be dead, or would be outside of here and aren't. Also people that have died and come back before. Same as you can do here. AND -- [Chews her bottom lip. What is she forgetting?]

[Time, timelines, intersections, fixed points, a SHRUG. She doesn't remember.] there are ghosts in Everglade, but they're not that malevolent. I might be biased though. I've been a ghost before, so I usually tried to be more Caspar than his Uncles, yeah?

I don't expect it to be handed to me. I can show people that I'd be good at it.

[Technically, he can just...exist without needing anything other than people's negative emotions to feed on, but he wants to establish himself in the community as a child who's clever and useful.]

I'm best at death magic, but I'm pretty good at elemental spells, too.

If you're looking for magic users, then Fayren or Everglade would be your best bet. I'm part of a mage guild in Fayren - Fairy Tail! [It's the best mage guild in town! ...Also the only one, but that's beside the point.]

Oh, your guild has a name? We had the Sorceror's Guild back home, but it was just called that. It didn't have a special name.

That could be more creative, but I suppose if there's only one guild, they won't have to worry about that. What did they do? [For all she knows, mage guilds in other worlds could be wildly different from her own - from what she heard, that was apparently the case in Edolas, an alternate world where unauthorized magic use was outlawed.]
