For those who have problems sleeping sometimes, what do you do?

I'm asking for learning purposes.


[She also found herself sometimes unable to sleep herself from nightmares of what happened back in January, the fear of it happening again and she honestly wished they would stop sometimes.]

I rarely sleep so I occupy my time teaching our pokemon things, like reading.

On a more personal note, drawing, knitting, cooking and that kind of task can help you relax enough to feel sleepy.

A lot of times I'll train. Staying busy helps keep my mind off things. Or I'll use the time to catch up on some work. Energy drinks help, but they aren't exactly good for you.

Some sorcerors and sorceresses from my world can cast sleep spells. I've never heard of anyone casting it on themselves, though.

Relaxation exercises can help, like tensing and releasing each body part from toe to scalp. Practice good sleep hygiene, yeah? Don't bring anything to bed, spray sheets with soothing scents, that kind of thing. 

Tbh, most of the time I just concentrate on the face of a person I miss and try to remember every detail.

That's what doctors are for. 

Anyway, lavender's a good choice. Chamomile, bergamot. Really, anything you like that doesn't have a lot of emotional memories attached to it and isn't too sharp. 

Sometimes faces will just keep you awake. It's not a bad idea to do some light exercise and take a bath before bed, either, yeah?
