[Cassian and Kay's house is often lively and, while Kay is trying to keep what is happening behind him mostly out of frame, Cassian and some pokemon can be spotted.]

Does anybody know a good blacksmith that can weld my wedding ring into place? [Kay raises his left hand and sure enough, there's a white gold ring around his finger.] It keeps falling off because my frame's too smooth and I don't want to lose it by accident.

[Any attempts at seriousness are ruined when there's a yelp, a shout of] Galantea! Get back here right now! [and then there's a Sylveon wearing a tiny tuxedo throwing herself at Kay smugly crowing Sylveon! Sylveon! Cassian appears a moment later, plucking her from Kay’s shoulder. If you look closely, you can see a matching wedding ring on Cassian’s hand, worn along with the gunmetal-grey ring made of Kay’s frame he’s been wearing since Christmas.]

That’s it, you’ve been wearing this tux since the wedding. Enough now. [For his troubles, he gets his cheek licked– slowly and slobbery and with great relish. He finally notices the phone in Kay’s hand.] If you’re going to announce it, you might as well tell them we’ll be unavailable for our honeymoon.

Thank you. Like Kay said, we're planning on a week or so but it depends. Things rarely go as planned for us.

[He's sure they could--but there's no need to try, really. There's also an amused chuckle at Cassian's words.]

I know that feeling. I'm sure you both can handle yourselves, but if you need a hand in an emergency, give me a call. I've talked with you enough times that I'm pretty sure I can find you via your ki, Mr. Andor. That won't help much with Kaytoo, but it's something.

Thank you for the offer... and that's good to know, actually. Always comes in handy to have some way to track down missing people. Even if I'm hoping it won't come to that. We're not actually seeking out danger but spending a week sunbathing isn't for us either.

[Trunks is just going to filter this from the general population thanks. It's not exactly a huge secret, but it's not something that everyone should know, really.]

It's not an uncommon skill where I'm from, at least among the people I'm used to hanging out with. Mai and Mom being the usual exceptions, although both could probably learn if they wanted. Everybody's Ki signature is different, and it takes time to get to know a specific one...but I can sense groups. Or threats, depending on how strong they are.

I tend to keep my own presence as masked as much as I can, so I 'feel' or read weaker than I am. It's also a skill that, as far as I know, was unique in learning to Earth. Most other places had to use tools called Scouters to read ki energy.

[ Cassian listens, filing it away, and gives a sharp nod. ]

I see. That's good to know, it's definitely a useful skill. [ Too bad it only works on people you know, though, would be useful for keeping tabs on enemies. ] I can see why you would want to keep your presence masked, both generally and all the more so under these circumstances.

[Depends on the enemy. Trunks can sense Cell around the cities just fine too. And if it's a strong enough level, he'll sense that whether it's friend or foe.]

Considering my childhood was spent under a reign of terror from two homicidal androids who couldn't be sensed? It was a necessary skill.

[Saying it so casually too, y'know, like it's Tuesday and he just took out the trash, no big deal.]

It was harder...under Goku Black. I could sense him, but had to be careful to make sure he couldn't sense me.

[Okay, that's a more serious topic, and he's sighing.]

My point is, it's not as quick as with my mother, or Mai, but I can find you even in a crowd pretty quickly because I know your signature. Think of it like familiar voices in a crowd of people all at the same volume.

[ That is indeed a much more serious topic, not that Cassian minds. A history of wartime is still a part of both their lives, there's no glossing over that now that he's chosen to go domestic. For now he files it away, just nodding, willing to let it go in favor of lighter, more socially appropriate conversation topics. ]

I see... Yes, I'm sure that will prove useful sooner rather than later. Although it's a shame it doesn't work on robots.

All the same, I'll try not to make it necessary that you track me down... though Kay will tell you I'm incapable of staying ouf of trouble.

It's due to what ki is--think of it as 'life energy' and you're close enough, which is probably why robots and androids don't register. For whatever reason they don't read as 'alive' in the same way, so for purposes of sensing their ki they don't exist.

I do want you both to have fun. You deserve it. But I wanted you to know, even though I know you have a lot of friends here too, I'm good in a crisis. Kind of used to it.

[ Cassian gives another quick little nod. ]

And believe me, it's appreciated. You can never have too many friends and allies, I appreciate that we can count another among them.

I'm very aware of that myself, and have only been successful thanks to the help and aid of others. I'm not ashamed of it, either.
