Now that I've primarily gotten shit moved into office... guess I should make a speech or something...

Well, for starters, to everyone that voted for me, thanks. To those that didn't, no hard feelings. I know I didn't give people much to go on besides taking over for Cassian and keeping his stuff going, but since actually throwing my name in the race I've been doing something thinking, and I've come up with a few ideas.

My primary objective is to address the financial situation the guardian's office is in. As you've probably noticed we've had a few fundraisers here and there. That's fine, I'm not trying to deter anyone from doing that, but at the same time I would like to be able to reliably pay my deputies without worrying about next month's income. I've got some ideas that I'll be floating to mayor Cecil and working to just make things more profitable in general.

Second, as the home to the only place in Genessia that has a place where people can fight to the death with no repercussions, I'd like to open that up more publicly and encourage people with issues with one another to settle them there, and not bother anyone else. Exceptions obviously apply.

Those are the two big things. That said, if anyone has suggestions or would like to talk to me, I've got an open door policy so please feel free to contact me.

Also, because of the imminent heat wave, I'd like to put out a call to anyone with wind, water, or ice powers. Anyone interested in helping out, contact me.

[Dante digs into his pants and produces a wallet, fumbling with it for a moment before he pulls two pictures out of it. The first picture he holds up to the camera is an old looking dogeared photo of Trish striking a sexy pose. One that she sneaks into his wallet because she thinks its funny.]

This is Trish. She's my partner in the whole demon hunting business. She's also a lightning demon that was sent to lure me into a trap by a guy who had a hate boner for my old man. That's all water under the bridge so that's not the primary reason...

[He puts down Trish's picture and holds up the other one. This time, it's a far more cared for picture with an almost regal air to it.]

This is my mom. See any resemblance?

[Oh yeah, he'd remembered Dante showing him a picture of Trish a long while back. He was fully ready to make some kind of remark about Trish was hot, but then Dante showed that picture of his mom.]

... welp. That's awkward.

So lemme try to take a stab in the dark here- Mr. Evil Guy sent her after you because she looked like your mom? Am I even remotely close?

[Gale doesn't even have remotely witty commentary on this one for once. Still, he thinks both women are hot but he'll go with his better judgment and keep those remarks to himself.]

... yeah, I'd probably be a bit awkward around demon chicks if I was in your spot. We can skip Holy Diver if you want, just we'll have to actually pay for drinks if we hit another strip joint.

Right on the goddamn money. She was created specifically to look like my mom and lure me into a trap. Of course I knew it was a trap, and beat the shit out of the guy anyway, to make a long story short.

I've always preferred human girls, and don't get me wrong, Trish is an invaluable friend. It just gets super awkward at times.
